LD29 — Beneath the Surface

RAD - Robot Assisted Digging by pinion 2014-04-28T17:15:00

Interesting concept.

Upper Crust by dylanwolf 2014-04-28T19:58:00

Very nice, but a bit too short :)

Deus ex Submarine by Jod 2014-04-28T18:34:00

I didn't like the mixup of drama and comedy either. The lack of music didn't disturb me at all. The narration is good, there are multiple choices and endings. Great game, good work!

The Find by Alexis Moroz 2014-04-28T16:49:00

Interesting concept. I didn't like that you are "teleported" back to the beginning when you fish something, and also that the webpage the fish leads when eaten is opened in the same tab as the game, closing it. Also, thanks for leading me for some interesting stuff I never heard of before :)

Underball by Roks87 2014-04-28T17:43:00

I get a white text "Begin" for half of a second, then black screen and nothing happens.

Neath by metkis 2014-04-28T16:15:00

I really liked the graphics. In the middle room, that bloody "HELP" noticeably keeps repeating. And the game is also a bit too short :(

Pressure by Covenant 2014-04-28T19:20:00

I found it impossible to leave the game in the middle of a level without terminating it with task manager, and I had it crash once on loading a level, but the game is really good and fun to play.

Lost Beneath by tGiant 2014-04-28T18:55:00

The graphics look slightly childrish for me, but the game is good and playable. Also the jumping mechanics are interesting.

Lost Beneath by tGiant 2014-04-28T18:57:00

The graphics look slightly childrish for me (but not bad at all), but the game is good and playable. Also the jumping mechanics are interesting.

TRESHUR by Zupoman 2014-04-29T15:22:00

@CheeseyBob, All you get is just a winner screen. I had no time to think and make some funny ending. Sorry :(

Thanks for the comments, guys :)

Fake Zoo by v3games 2014-04-29T16:13:00

Great graphics and audio, and very original. I don't see the theme in here, though.

Bridge to the Abyss by Agecaf 2014-04-28T19:31:00

Bookmarking it too. My favorite entry so far.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Split//Maze by sol_hsa 2014-08-25T16:43:00

Very good. I like the music, it gives it a great mood.

Gatestone by Aevek 2014-08-25T18:26:00

Nice game. I like how large the world is (it's random, right?). The gatestone was a bit too far away though, and it is hardly anything visible after the night falls.

Greener Grass by CogentInvalid 2014-08-26T00:04:00

Augh, this game is so difficult! I would really love to reach it to the end, but I just can't! I had to give up.

The graphics are cute, the music is peaceful, it's so much contrast to how brutal the difficulty is!

I also disagree with other comments - I think the game fits the theme pretty well.

Frankie Goes to Heaven by ShellfishGames 2014-08-25T18:02:00

Excellent game. Great music, really funny dialogues. Though, I got stuck in the Underworld, behind a large wall of gravel (that kind of wall you can't use grappling hook on). Praying haven't helped. I think I wasn't supposed to go there.

Connected Worlds Defender by pcmccull 2014-08-25T13:51:00

Fun game, I like it! Though, later there are too many ships - it gets laggy for me.

Monochrome by Retr0spectrum 2014-08-25T15:00:00

Nice and challenging game. The lack of checkpoints is quite frustrating, though.

CAVVE by Zupoman 2014-08-25T15:39:00

@CogentInvalid Thanks for reporting, that's a bug. I uploaded a patched version, it should be fixed now.

PRISM by rantt 2014-08-25T16:30:00

Nice music and the graphics style. The unusual style of movement actually adds to the mood, I like it. I don't understand the rules of collision detection though - sometimes you collide with the walls, and sometimes you just pass through - a bit annoying.

You Are Bactera by w84death 2014-08-25T13:22:00

Nice idea, I like it. Could be more interesting though - I think it could use to have some obstacles? Enemies? Because losing all bacteria is kind of impossible.

Space Kittens Will Not Save The World by Praron 2014-08-25T19:42:00

Very hard, I had no patience to beat it whole - sorry. The movement mechanics are original and difficult to get used to.
Awesome game.

Sol by Mali 2014-08-25T14:17:00

Nice graphics, awesome music! The camera indeed works strangely, when moving it with arrow keys.

Intergalactopol by prophile 2014-08-26T11:32:00

These green spaceships are such tough bastards... I think that the delay between crashing and respawning is a bit too long, it's slightly annoying. As others said, the mouse aiming seems a little counter-intuitive here, since everyone would expect the ship to simply shoot forward. Game is great, though, I love it.

LD33 — You are the Monster

CRUNCH!!! An Interplanetary Meal Trip by Ryusui 2015-09-06T20:25:00

Cool game! Fun to play, nice graphics and audio. I found it a bit lagging on my computer though, which caused me to sometimes pass through walls. Is that because of delta timing?

Click Here to Become the Monster by ianh 2015-08-25T15:17:00

lacks any positive qualities whatsoever

Mobs, Inc. by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-09-11T14:17:00

The game seems to not be very optimized, it lagged a lot on my computer, causing the gameplay to be slow and monotonic and making me quit playing it earlier. Besides that, really good and polished graphics! And I really liked the idea, it fits the theme nicely.

Final Encounter by OccamsRazor 2015-08-24T15:11:00

The game is fun and pretty humorous. The names generator made me laugh. It required a bit of tactics, but I managed to win it. Graphics are pretty good, except the slight lack of animations.

OMNOMNOM by Zupoman 2015-08-25T13:25:00

@Tuism: it's not Windows-only, I'm on Linux myself. It's just not recommended to ship ready executables on Linux, since Linux supports a lot of computer architectures and that executable would work only on certain ones. All you need is to install Love2D – if you are on Debian-based system, you can quickly snatch it from repositories (if you are lazy: `sudo apt-get install love` does the trick).

The Truth by HolyBlackCat 2015-08-24T17:02:00

Played it whole. Great graphics, however the lack of death animations hit me a bit. The player character movement animation is well-done. The background music unfortunately became annoying after a few minutes, a bit too monotonic. Overall very good. I wish it was longer and had more enemies.

GROWL by Ulydev 2015-09-06T20:56:00

It was hard to understand the gameplay mechanics, but I guess I just didn't RTFM well enough. I managed to reach 61.0, that is after 60, but I always get killed just then, before I notice new thing happening. I'll try again some other day, my eyes feel raped too hard for now.

The Frog King by dollarone 2015-08-24T02:25:00

I can't reach the golden heart or go further in the game, because the jumping height seems to be too short. Is this a bug or am I missing something in controls?

The Frog King by dollarone 2015-08-24T14:35:00

Cute art and funny sounds. A bit too short IMO, only one normal heart and only one golden heart to collect (or am I missing something?).

Subterranean by K.Chplr 2015-08-26T19:33:00

Nice idea, I found the sounds creeping me out though.

From The Jaws of Death by demogorgon 2015-08-24T19:31:00

Nice idea. The game was a bit monotonic though, it could use some powerups or maybe a progress bar. But I loved the plot twist ending. :)

Mangiato by Acerio 2015-08-24T15:48:00

Wasn't as hard as description says. I like the graphics, also the music is nice. Was fun to play. The text was visible for too short time sometimes though and the same messages repeated, making not much sense to me, not sure if that is intentional.

Ant Destroyer by PostageStamp 2015-08-24T15:23:00

My points: 4308. I wish it was displayed how many points you earned at game over. Nice art, too. The maps seem to be randomly generated, that's also cool.

Monstrous by mceier 2015-08-24T19:18:00

Woah! First time I encounter a game that is Linux-only, without Windows support. Too bad running it gives me a segmentation fault after a few seconds…
