Hello, there!

Thanks a lot for making this awesome entry :)

Very well-implemented!
Much different from all the other entries so far.

- Please add a loading screen to your engine. It took a while to load, meanwhile showing a black screen
- The complete lack of audio is somewhat strange
- Other than that, nothing to complain! Good job!

Beneath The Sea by renatopp 2014-05-01T17:24:00

One of the best entries so far.

What I liked most about it was the art - It got me so in the mood!

It's really addictive because it gets challenging and you really want to see what the other power-ups do.

Search for hope by agmcleod 2014-05-06T02:08:00

I immediately loved the game. The gray image,
"I Feel Alone" and the sad keyboard tones gave
me chills like no other LD entry has.

But the feeling faded away quite quickly.
Please take the following as critiques, not
complaints:

- At first, I jumped and the user went through
the roof.
- The music kept restarting at each scene change;
It's kinda irritating, specially for people who
like to rush through a platformer.
...but the music was so awesome I decided to chill
around.
- Completely static enemies - come on, it's very easy
to add animations on melonJS. It would've made
a huge difference.
- I like how the lifebar is a counter that follows the
character.
- The ending was great; little fade out with good song.

Overall I think you put a lot of emotion on this game,
but it don't deserve to be given 48h only.
I really think you should work on it whenever you have
time - it's a great work of art and expression.

P.S.: High five from a fellow melonJS user! Thanks
a lot for contributing to it. :)

Even with your description I couldn't figure out how to play this game.
You should clarify more, somehow.

Congrats for making with Love, though

Under Riders by calvinsm 2014-04-29T08:07:00

Couldn't find the "any" key!

Just messing with you, the game was nice. :D

I know it's a short time to make a game, so consider those as critiques, not complaints:

- The controls were buggy, with the submarine colliding in strange ways with the scenario. Sometimes I lose the game because the player wouldn't enter the submarine... I also miss being able to move diagonally.
- That sound at first sounded sweet (fitting nicely with the graphics) but after a while became irritating.
- Graphics are great, love dem pixels.
- The co-op concept is awesome, really stands out from other entries around here! If you plan to go on with this game, consider making a two-player mode on which you control them at the same time.

Seal Breaker by mrcrazyscience 2014-04-29T08:20:00

Critiques, not complaints:

- Initially I felt confused; the "about" screen shows a huge text with confusing instructions. Couldn't read it all so jumped straight to the game.
- There, why doesn't it start immediately? I stared at the screen for a while until I found the "start" at the bottom.
- Is it really necessary to press "e" to eat? Why couldn't it happen when the fish collides with another?
- I really miss being able to walk diagonally; controls feel awkward.
- Also, the fish seems a little slow. You should add a "turbo" button (like "shift" or something) where the fish could swim faster.

The overall experience was nice and I like the art style, keep up :D

Gravitas by m12y 2014-05-02T01:18:00

Wow, talk about creative ideas!
Really stands out from other entries.

Didn't catched the theme, but what the hell.
Kudos for implementing this, have no idea how you did it.

Other than that, the game feels very... neutral. It was a nice proof-of-concept and you should totally polish it a little bit.

SubWars by Random Abductions 2014-04-29T08:46:00

Wow, this game's complex!
I admire all the work you put on it; the UI is great and very immersive.

Unfortunately I couldn't stand it.
Maybe I have a very short attention span, but I couldn't read all that text.

If you do care about people like me you should come up with a quicker way of explaining the gameplay (the actual things that make actions).
I fiddled around with the tacks and stuff.

Light Eater by Cawrtz 2014-05-01T19:58:00

Great game!
Apart from the lack of sound, it was a nice experience.

- Controls are intuitive (although I agree WASD + mouse would be nice)
- Gameplay is solid (powerups were a nice idea, next time I'll implement something like this)
- Art is cute
- Quite addictive, made me play 'til the end.

Oh, and the opening scene really got me into the game.
It really stands out from other entries.

Driller Rush by Serk 2014-05-02T02:17:00

One of the best entries I saw.
Id'd be hugely addictive if it wasn't for two things:

- The controls seem swapped; at least for me. I think you could at least turn that into an option, because frequently at the verge of death I'd press the opposite arrow without any apparent reason.
- Sometimes it's _impossible_ to avoid some rocks. Try to work on that and we got a glorious game

Surfaception by relcei 2014-04-29T08:52:00

The first impression was great.
Characters are cute and the parallel world is a nice gameplay decision.

But I messed up on the tutorial (clicked where I wasn't supposed to click) and it kept on assuming I did the right thing.
So I had to restart.
Just a note, if you plan to go on with this game you should get it fixed.

It was nice that you made a tutorial; this is something that really stands out from all the other entries. Most of them simply start and expect you to figure everything out.

Overall, great idea! You should totally keep on working on this game.

Oh, please host the game on IndieJolt or something. It's kinda lame to download a UnityWeb game.

The fight beneath the surface by Caridorc 2014-04-29T03:29:00

Hey, congrats for releasing this game very early, if I'm not mistaken.

I ABSOLUTELLY LOVED the narration!
(even though it took quite a time to load the game here)

Bone Up by mir007 2014-04-29T10:00:00

The music was great!
It fit with the dog, making the chords seem like dog barks

Unfortunately after a while it gets very repetitive

Nice little game

Bacteraemia by TTFTCUTS 2014-04-29T03:24:00

Worked fine on Firefox, it was very smooth.
I think the gameplay is too slow, but it works for simulating the blood fluids.
It'd be helpful to now which direction the bacteria is facing right now, with maybe a mark or something.

My mother loved this game - to her it was educative and she said you seem to know a lot about this subject.

Descent by niculistana 2014-04-29T08:29:00

Alright, one of the best games I've tested so far!

- Gameplay feels stiff, character jumps like a rock. While it seems "hardcore" to some, it could cripple the game experience for others. I think you could make an "easy" and "hard" modes, where the player density is lighter on the first.
- It's simple and addictive.
- I find it great that you placed a barrier on top before the game starts. It gives the user a chance to learn the controls and space to make mistakes.
- Song is great, but since you didn't created it, take as an inspiration for the next games.

You should seriously consider making a mobile version; it's addictive, simple and the gameplay fits nicely with phones and tablets!

Save Us by philip_sinclair 2014-04-29T08:11:00

What stands most about this game (in comparison to the other entries) is the way it teaches you how to play it.

Seriously, most games simply throw you on the action, expecting you to press every single key to continue!

Aside from that, it was a nice puzzle, definitely recommending to my friends!

Gun Bat by madmaw 2014-05-02T00:51:00

The Dead Beneath by Myyyvothrr 2014-05-01T17:18:00

Liked it. Actually fun, made me waste a few minutes without even realizing.

- The details were awesome - rain and particles. Are those default to ImpactJS or did you programmed them by yourself?
- The bullet trajectory was simple and effective; you could shoot from the other side of the screen, calculating to hit zombies while escaping the place.

You should definitely work on improving this game.
Here's some things you could do:

- Spawnable Power-ups/Mutators/Whatever. They could both benefit and downgrade your progress
- Different behavior for the zombies; Like some could run after you, others could jump... You could even copy from L4D or somethin
- Other weapons/equipments; grenades, machineguns... The sky is the limit.
- Co-op; I think 4 to 5 people playing at the same time (cramming the keyboard, I know) would make a great hit.
- Multiplayer; if you're feeling brave, mess up with websockets, rev up a server and turn this baby into a huge thing!

Congrats!

I'm confused... After trying for 2 minutes I gave up.
There should be more instructions.

But the game looks nice.. I guess

Escaping of the Cave by The Tophat Demon 2014-05-02T01:44:00

Damn, you got me... I'm a sucker for low-res platformers with huge levels...

It was awesome! Although it wasn't innovative or whatnot it got me addicted because of the urgency.
Note to self: on my next games add a limiting factor like a countdown timer; turns everything more challenging
