just amazing, perfectly inflected transitions, so dang can't-look-away powerfully uncomfortable. lets you feel the right amount of agency to make taking it away hurt.
neat concept. would be nice if the difficulty went up a bit as you play; as it stands i got bored of clicking before it got too hard to beat.
i love watching the robot squirm manically to get my arrows
super cute :)
Love the puzzle mechanics in this. Got stuck somewhere in chapter 3; might try again later.
i love this. wow. a perfect little meditation.
Cute, well-polished and fun.
hilarious and fun :)
i died on the turd level. laughed out loud a few times :D
i played this while hungry.
welp.
Hi Dream of Sleeping - the theme comes up in a few ways. All the audio clips except the first one are under 10s (I know, I should have made a 10 second intro to keep it more consistent). But also, the event you're attending is a speaking event where you get the mic for 10 seconds. If you click around to explore all the available links, you'll see how that comes into play. A few of the choices you make can affect the outcome.
Sorry it was confusing!
canvapps: it's just my voice; i'm a bit too old (27) to be called a "girl" :) but i'm glad you liked it.
thanks for all the kind feedback, everyone.
props on pushing something out to submit after losing your first project.
haha what? is the theme adherence that you made it in 10 seconds?
Lovely piece. :) Thanks for the comments on my submission, too.
nice entry. i like the drawings and website design.
i also like the idea of a transgender protagonist having amnesia - but just a note, the term "sex change" to refer to a single/sudden life event is a bit inaccurate/confusing. not all trans people decide to make physical changes to their sex characteristics, and often those that do only take hormones, which make gradual changes over several years. those that additionally opt to have genital surgery don't typically refer to it as a "sex change", since the hormonal changes have already changed their sexual characteristics quite a bit.
hahaha perfect
really strong gameplay here ;)
I love this! So much fun, especially the boss fight.
Controls take some getting used to, but I liked them by the end.
what a super weird story! props for your use of twine and extensive content development.
adorable! really good sea-life simulator A++.
flying octopus is the best part.
oh my gosh, this is absolutely gorgeous. really lovely artwork, and i love how you integrated it with Twine; that must have been so much work! thanks so much for making this.
Neat idea, but honestly the shooting part felt really incongruous; why lean on such an overused mechanic when the mood/theme of the game doesn't really fit it? The graphics and controls are quite nice.
This game is really cute! I agree that each passage has too much text for such an action-packed game; I found myself skipping over it in excitement for making each choice. It felt like I could start to kind of get the hang of a sort of system to which choices were right, but ultimately I lost interest before getting to a win condition.
Neat idea, music, graphics, and use of theme! It reminds me a lot of "Digital: A Love Story."
My only complaint is that the narrative fell on the lazy "jealous girlfriend" trope; that was really jarring and kind of took me out of the story.
On OSX Yosemite, the Jar doesn't open :(
Really neat diorama-like visual style used to stay on-theme for a 3d rendering mode. I'm not really sure the presentational aspects contributed much to the experience of the mechanics of the story, though. A noir shooter about white dudes avenging a dead woman isn't really that original. ;) But it was a decent enough execution of the idea.
Pretty fun for a couple rounds, though that bug is pretty annoying! And is there any actual incentive to rescuing elves? (And really, your game company is called "beer cave" games? Thanks for contributing to that image of the game industry. :P)
