We saw a texture or shading issue when playing it on an HTC ONE X.

Other than that, everything seemed to run smoothly.

I like this concept.
I had the same bug as dray; when I lit a fire source any sources other than the one I just lit would go dark (except for the blue one, which always lit its surroundings). I could still recharge using the other fire sources, even though they were not providing light. This was on the web version.
I like this concept.
The only extra word I have found so far is 'enemy'. It didn't help, but it was pretty funny.
It closes when running for me too. I tried opening it in command and I get the error:
Uncaught exception - load.c<237> : Failed to load library : std.ndll
Big fan of the game. It took me a few runs to understand exactly what was going on, but once I figured it out, mirth ensued. Thanks a lot!
That was fun! I like the cat art and animations.
This game is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it.
"I would think fixing that crash bug would be allowed, it wouldn't add anything, just allow for more play."
Per the "MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO" section, I don't see a problem with you fixing the crash.
I love the art in this game.
Great graphics and style consistency. I like the doorway camera angle, although I'm glad it is off while running. Nice furniture vortex at the end.
"Modifier cards (armor, weapons, etc.)"
This will be great. Right now the winning strategy seems to be picking the highest magnitude negative card, or positive (if there is a very high positive card). Even so, I can already feel an addictive card game in the making.
"Animations and particle effects (something to space out the rapid flow of the game)"
Animations will definitely help in showing that a card is being given to you versus what cards are being used against you. It took me a few games to see that played effects were being displayed at the bottom left, and cards on the screen were always going into my hand.
I love bullet time! Simple and fun.
We uploaded a linux build; our apologies, but we don't have a test machine handy today. If someone can confirm that things are working, we'd be very appreciative! :)
Thank you DavidErosa, we've re-uploaded. Sorry, I didn't notice it generated a data folder.
This is a pretty funny idea. I wish I could create my own levels by entering a string of characters to convert. I managed to get 93/103 and 93/94, but the sentences made little sense both times; it seems the timing of info in the top left and the timing of the morse code path are not synced. Even after the game, it is still fun to randomly click and see what characters are being translated.
Going with what some others have said, I also felt the movement was too slow, and it was hard to use the landmarks to my advantage.
I love the map drawing concept. It gave me a bit of nostalgia of drawing maps in maze zones in 80s-90s adventure games. and that you save and upload the player maps so they can be used outside the game. I also thought the desert storm particles were great.
I won a few times just because I was close enough to use the distance counter: I managed to find the treasure in #TabulaQuondam by following my map http://i.imgur.com/JGM4bJ2.jpg
Wow, really impressive! Did you guys do all the art and sound during the compo? Love the game!
