The game is absolutely fantastic! The gum mechanics was very well used. Add a few more enemies and you've got yourself and awesome game!

They gameplay is very linear and the movements felt very sluggish, but apart from that, I love it. I love the idea behind it. Something similar happened recently in my life, so your game really touched me, thank you.
BTW, it's funny how you can still jump and throw sand during the final texts =)
Spacebar working randomly on Windows 8. The game seems to be fun, but the jumping glitch didn't let me go too far.
Tip: your checking for the jumpbutton in the Update(), but only performing the jump in FixedUpdate(). The solution is to set your jump variable to true when the button is pressed and only set it to false when the jump is performed in the FixedUpdate()

Very good! I like the fighting mechanics, but I think it could be a little faster paced. Maybe add some advanced controls over the yoyo, like doing tricks.
BTW, your character looks like David Tennant's 10th Doctor. =)

@LandoSystems I let inertia take you off the platform, because if it didn't than the player would be able to just surf it to the end of the level, wich also sounded like fun, so I had planned to add a level just for that, but time was not enough

@bace1000 The physics are something that I definitely wanted to work more on, as it can get really odd, specially when the player is involved with the steel beams. But thanks!
@Plustech Thanks for the feedback! In fact, I am not satisfied with the feels of the controls yet, I still have a lot of tweaks to do to try to get the right feel to it.
As for the brown beam, you can position it first and only then jump onto it. You can put it against a wall to stabilize it, or try to make a quick swipe while on it, there are many ways to do it, and my fault was that I didn't properly introduce them to the player. I'll expand the level and give more detailed instructions.
Very fun, creative and original. One of the best entries of the Jam =)
Has some bugs and the music got old very fast, but the gameplay was fun and the idea hilarious, I like it.

Very fun mechanics, worth making a full game out of it! The controls were a little touchy, and the enemy cannon thing was too fast for me to react, but the game was awesome anyway.
Muito legal o jogo! Curti bastante os gráficos e a música, o jogo ficou com um clima muito relaxante.
Como você disse, WSAD seria melhor pra controlar e acho que clicar no papel para pegar a poesia é um pouco desnecessário.
De qualquer forma, o jogo ficou muito legal e é ótimo ver outros BR's aqui no LD =)

Very well done, but I had a few problems running it, it would run very slowly. The Demo.jar was ok though.
