Interesting twist on the maze game. Graphics style reminds me of "adventure" for the atari. Nice work!

Interesting idea

everard999 2016-12-12 06:25

=) Good job!

fishbrain 2016-12-12 07:01

Very well presented, quite a challenging little game too. Good work!

It's fun. I like the feeling of danger with the darkness but I think that the starting all the way at the beginning may be a bit harsh!

Hey thanks for reviewing my game Five Star Hotel!! I'm glad you enjoyed it (and made your arm tired...) Anyway, I enjoyed your game as well, I found it difficult, but still fun.

First complete game i've played. Awesome!

jk5000 2016-12-12 09:13

A fun little puzzle/maze game.

mik3 2016-12-12 09:54

A simple maze game with a twist. I enjoyed it and I liked the music as well.

zarkonnen 2016-12-12 09:57

This has really simple but effective mechanics! The best compo game gameplay-wise I've played so far. I think you could take this and make it into a good "real game" by adding in an explicit theme and graphics. Also, pleased to see that Java hasn't quite gone extinct as a gamedev platform. :D

artsicle 2016-12-12 13:00

Fun!

harusame 2016-12-12 17:58

This is a cool game, the graphics are very simple but effective for this type of game.
The sounds/musics are nice.
Traps are a very vicious idea ^^

Good work!

Maze was the first game I ever made, and yours addition of powerups makes it way better. I really liked the background and music. But.. technically it's not one room =)

sujisan 2016-12-13 03:54

Wow! What a challenge. Well done!

jperlin 2016-12-14 03:27

I'm surprised I've never seen the idea of having to memorize a maze as fast as possible before! It's a really neat game and I definitely my favourite so far (after playing about 10 so far). Congratulations :)
The audio is also surprisingly pleasant even after a few minutes it still doesn't hurt which is the case for many compo games :D

gironc 2016-12-15 01:24

very good maze game, the mechanics are innovative, great entry!

michalidis 2016-12-15 01:26

The game has become pretty challenging at level 5 :O just when I thought it could not get any harder :D

Simple graphics with interesting game mechanics and audio :) great game in overall :)

cyberambient 2016-12-15 01:53

Great idea! Great indeed, I believe that it has evaded a little of the theme, but that did not diminish the great game. Congratulations on your work and your code.

avocadosan 2016-12-15 02:14

I really liked the concept :D

doubtfulgames 2016-12-17 03:02

Nicely done! Very engaging, and a nice ramp in difficulty. Plenty of interesting ideas introduced, and the levels are tricky but fair.

thescragglyman 2016-12-17 09:54

Well polished, innovative idea on a maze game, great sounds and the graphics serve purpose

edve98 2016-12-17 12:14

This game seems interesting. Any chance to bring it to Linux? (it uses Java anyway, right?)

bigbuggames 2016-12-17 17:31

Hey that was simplistic but cool and well executed. Love the mechanics, the idea that makes the labyrinth go dark after a few seconds is neat, although the first 2 items aren't really much help. The one for the traps is vital though

ryusui 2016-12-21 05:32

This is very clever and well-put together, though I'll admit I feel it's a little cheap how sensors don't respawn after you die (I really hope this was just a bug!) I was able to beat the game anyway with some good memory and a bit of luck, but you might want to check to see if this is a bug or not.

Good job ! Nice ideas
