Cute little platformer, neat pixel-art and lovely background music accompanying it! Hedgie needs to give Otto some lessons afterwards as Otto as the final boss~ haha. Well done entry! Oh also, firefox doesn't play the game, can only play on the web via chrome for the moment, or at least on my machine - Just to notify you. :)
Very strong mario vibes, done well and feels satisfying collecting all of the mail
Jumping is a bit tricky and requires some skill, but the game is nice! I like the little hedgehog :)

Standing on ledges felt slippery at times. But very nice platforming, cute sprites and collecting the mail feels very good! The sound overall was great!
Well-made platformer! The levels are very smart, increasing difficulty and length. Sound and looks match the retro feeling. Great job on a solid sumbission!
I am missing the counter of all the letters on the level - for those "I collected 100% of letters" internal achievement. Also didn't figure out wha the radish (?) does, cannot pick it up
@freakyzelga Thanks a lot for playing my game! You are correct, a "collect all letters" counter would be a nice thing to implement. I will try to get this in the game in the future. Also: If you couldn't pick up the berry that means you're awesome! It's a health item meaning you can only pick it up when you're hurt. :)

This is really impressive, especially for a solo game! Art style is great, sounds match it super well, gameplay feels pretty solid - great work all around!

Fun game! Very well made levels.
Sometimes when I jump and kill an enemy, I also take damage, but It's not very important. Nice pixel art and animations, and I quickly finished the game. It's amazing that you made this game all by yourself! Good Job <3

I absolutely love this game it's so cute to play as a wee hedgehog! I played through it in a heartbeat it was really fun to hop around and collect all the letters~ Amazing work!

Amazing game! Love the Hedgehog. ^^ I especially love that there are a so many levels for a solo game jam project, really, really amazing. The only thing to point out is that the worm enemy is a bit difficult to see.

Hey you! Awesome job on your first ever solo Ludum Dare entry :heart_eyes:
Sometimes it's very nice to play a basic 2D platformer, often you see games in LD where people (including myself often lol) try too hard to make the game stick out, but it's just actually more fun to play a polished game like this.
Pretty nice level design for the levels that were in the game, there was no way to get stuck anywhere and overall the levels were great and you had a bit of variety in there! In my opinion the game could have been a lot harder, but at least I could complete a game now :sunglasses: The crows were also cool and that they made a sound when you pass it, little details like that make a lot in a game. Also great job on the animations!!
If i could give you constructive critisicm, it would maybe be that (how I think) if you make a pixel art game, it would mayyybe be better to stay in that one style for the whole game? Or how I look at it the graphics could look better or more consistant if it was always the same pixel size and only pixel art. But I'm not hating on the graphics, in fact I liked them, but thats just how I think about it :smiley_cat:
Also the movement didn't feel 100% responsive, but that could very well be a macbook's webgl problem, they rarely work as well with macOS as with windows for what I've seen.
But as said before, really good work from you and you can be very proud of yourself and congrats on this LD entry! It was a really fun game :owl:
Since I knew that the creator of this game only recently started coding, I am seriously re-evaluating my talent as a programmer. Very well done! I was figuratively blown away by the amount of content you managed alone in this short of a time. Keep at it!

Very cute game! I can't explain why, but it just was a lot of fun to play. The level design is very good and motivates to collect all the letters. The only thing I could criticize is that there are not more levels :D
As for me: doing a platformer when you're alone in a team is a lost cause right away. After all, if you make a nice jump, move, think over locations - this is a very difficult task, so you still need to draw graphics and a bunch of other things. Therefore, it is not possible to add something else unique to this genre, since there will be no time left at all. Well, in my opinion and experience. But in general it was nice to run and jump.

I've always had trouble programming platformer games so I have extra appreciation when I play one and it's smooth and solid. Great job!

Really cute pixel graphics, controls and platforming felt pretty satisfying, I like how forgiving the game was in terms of lives and checkpoints. The raven checkpoints might have been my favourite thing, a really nice touch!
I like it. Visually it looks very nice. The work done is incredible for one person. Make as many as 3 levels and draw it all, cool. There were points that I could not understand (specifically with worms), but these are minor remarks that can be easily let go. You are very cool 👍
Thought the game was pretty good, especially for a first time (its also my first game Jam.) Although, there is a bit that I think could be improved in my opinion, which is the art style being a bit inconsistent (ex. background feels a bit more detailed then foreground), but besides that, it seems like a pretty decent game!
The pixel art and sound-effects were really fitting the atmosphere of the game! The huge pink mushrooms gave a good contrast to the darker background. Cute idea having a hedgehog and an owl collaborating - maybe the owl could be integrated into each level as well e.g. being shown in the end of each level with a comment so to give both more character and to develop the story :) And, congratulations on your first solo game jam!

Absolutely on point for the jam's theme! I really like the crow sound effect! I found one of the jumps at the start of the game surprisingly hard to make, requiring precise double-jumping. I felt the little hodgehege could maybe be a little bouncier? Really cute game!
