Hey dude, Nice game! i love the retro ascii art. Feels like a puzzle which tickles my brain. would like to see what u had in mind for magic. Good Job!
Good game! Just felt too easy for my liking and to little different items to choose / pickup so I ended up not running out of space enough :P but I guess it is hard to come up with good items in such a short time ^^
Nicely done, it reminded me of Nethack. I would have loved some more dungeons, one felt a bit short.
Fan of ASCII games! Not sure where it ties in to the theme but I killed some dragons. :)
Nice game, I know you only had 2 days, but I wish there were more levels. I like the inventory management, it fits right with the theme. Is the falling star at the beginning is supposed to mean anything?
Good job on your game.
I was a bit sad to see that there was only one level. But i restarted it and it became way easier when you know what loot to take. Keep working on it, make other levels, add randomness maybe and different types of ennemies and i'll be happy to play it again! Good work ;)
Nice use of theme, I really like the fact that item bonuses are cumulative, made inventory management fun. There was enough information to tell a story of what was going on, even with the simple graphics. I would have liked more feedback on how strong enemies were, or seeing what item I was standing on before deciding whether to ditch something for it. I encountered a bug at the last boss where my health increased when I attacked it
Once I understood how the items stacked the inventory management became an interesting puzzle. I like the convenience of mousing over the items to see their stats. I think it would look a little cleaner if the characters didn't stack on top of each other, but just showed one character per grid cell like a traditional roguelike. The health is also hard to read since it can be covered by the dungeon graphics.
I really liked the low-key art, the management worked well with the theme and gameplay, it's a shame the casting magic wasn't implemented though.
Like the retro-feel, although I had difficulty finding the controls out and the overall game isn't very innovative.
