LD53 — Delivery

Delivery Under the Influence: 1925 Edition by Carraka 2023-05-02T21:22:57Z

Like the other commenter said I did not expect the gun! Although the gunshot was definitely too loud, I had to go turn down my Chrome volume to save my ears! I liked pretty much everything else here, enough gameplay elements to keep you interested and good little short story to it!

Boxt In Space by Diego Escalante 2023-05-03T06:18:39Z

Quite fun! I really liked it when the boxes started moving and it made it more difficult for sure. Though in one level I swear I didn't get enough boxes to actually trigger the delivery success despite having all the boxes in it! Audio is mixed maybe just a tad bit too quiet, but what I can hear sounded great. Overall fantastic in our time allotted!

Santa's Slip Up by Johnsensei 2023-05-03T03:38:50Z

Well made, plays good, music and audio cues were good, only thing I have questions/if its a bug is if the presents are supposed to be able to leave the screen horizontally. Overall good stuff!

Field Delivery by Daniel Mak 2023-05-04T01:56:39Z

Haha yeah I was confused for a couple minutes looking for a start button, I didn't think that dropping the box in the portal was it! I didn't run in to ammo issues though, I actually ended up with too much as you get it just by moving the boxes to get score. Cool idea.

Holy Ghost Kitchen! by xfinktion 2023-05-03T08:11:09Z

As someone that enjoys cooking myself it was fun to find a cooking game out there in a delivery theme! I liked most of the minigames, but I did find myself having trouble with the medium and large chopping ones, as there's little indication about how big it should really be until you try it a bunch of times. Maybe the hand could move on its own and have lines on the table to create sort of a rhythm game effect? The fine version I got down though. Anyways, enjoyed it a lot, good stuff!

Beto Carteiro by Leandro Keller Salto 2023-05-02T22:30:46Z

Well done game! Once I learned the grass slowed you down it made more sense, but that neighborhood should learn to put up fences for their animals haha.

Hot Dog Rescue by Roolow 2023-05-04T02:46:28Z

The dog is certainly in hot water, and this game certainly was difficult haha! Nice bumping beat, and graphics reminded me almost of like mario party minigames of the old games. Took me quite a lot of tries to understand that you need to use the ramp to generate additional speed and plan out my route. Also, worked fine on my Chrome at least, Good stuff!

Dino delivery service by Netarion Swan 2023-05-04T01:01:45Z

"Happy happy happy"; Simple, but cute game. Everything seemed to work great! I did notice that after every fail I think the map scrolling speed kept getting much faster though, it was zooming! Good job!

Solaris Express by hulien22 2023-05-03T07:24:18Z

Actually pretty fun! I was very surprised at how fast planets come in from off screen at first, I maaaaaay have crashed a few times. The music seems to cut in/out for some reason I found though, drifting through space I felt I was missing it half the time which was sad! Great job!

DO NOT OPEN THE LETTER by MarcoDeevil 2023-05-02T20:59:44Z

Really liked the mood and style here, and everything seemed to work as intended, though I did notice at the game over screen you can continue hitting the interact key to get killed repeatedly haha.

PigeonPost by Jim jagers 2023-05-04T02:19:43Z

Very fun! Liked the graphics and audio, pretty cool vibe for the delivery jam. I also got the bugs on levels 2 and 4 on the WebGL variant, but sounds like that's already fixed! Luckily the level select option just let me get around it so I could play through the rest! Really liked the silly vibes this one had on a few of the levels.

Delivery by Adam Jewell 2023-05-04T00:52:37Z

I'd never heard of hoop-and-wire as a term for a game before, learn something new everyday! Luckily I play on low DPI mouse so I didn't run into any sensitivity issues. Good stuff!

Harpoon Lagoon by Adam Gallina 2023-05-03T00:32:26Z

I liked the movable camera personally, as it lets you see and scout for the fish you want for an order in particular. Graphics and audio were great, some small bugs like it only checks the value of fish you have once when you interact and not upon selling/giving them. Overall pretty great!

Harpoon Lagoon by Adam Gallina 2023-05-04T05:26:11Z

@adam-gallina Like when I went in to the shop to sell, it would tell me I have like 700 gold worth of fish or whatever, and say I sold 2 of them, I'd back out and it'd still say 700 gold worth of fish.

Harpoon Lagoon by Adam Gallina 2023-05-04T05:31:14Z

@adam-gallina Ah okay, I expected as such, I think it just "checks" your value when you first check in, so that makes sense haha. No infinite currency today!

Midnight Muffin Delivery Service by Tyler M 2023-05-02T23:08:24Z

Appreciate the interesting take on delivery as the main mechanic!

Stork inc. by quabmara 2023-05-03T03:28:39Z

I didn't mind the screen effect personally, but I also am bad enough at this game that I can't get past stage 2 of the quests! I must not be understanding the stats of the Storks well. Though the idea of managing the levels of your team is good and different from what I've seen from this jam!

Fresh'n Hot by Lulunaria 2023-05-03T08:26:20Z

Web build was working for me here (Chrome)! I'm a fan of type racer so I liked a similar take to it, though I did learn pretty quick that if you add an extra ingredient your customers don't seem to mind haha. Hard to scrap sauce off a pizza after all I suppose! I liked the graphics of this, though I did notice that if you make a mistake and the game resets, the audio cuts out afterwards. Good job overall!

Crabload of Shells by mitur 2023-05-03T06:06:27Z

I was confused why I was losing, but turns out I'm just bad at reading directions! Once I had that down I enjoyed this quite a bit, calm but ramping to difficult once enough birds are out.

Porch Rats! by Quinnster 2023-05-03T08:51:02Z

Worked out well on Chrome for me! Simple and fun enjoyed this, though as you already noted, once you attain a critical mass of gnomes, there's no stopping you. I assume this is because of the piercing attack. I also had a very funny bug where a gnome would constantly wiggle like he's attacking but not attack, regardless of what phase I was in haha. Loved this one, good work, made it to over wave 20 before calling it!

Delivery of the king by KingZero 2023-05-03T08:18:06Z

Very good for a solo attempt in our short time! Though it's nice to read your put in effort to learn to make music for it, learning is most of the point of these jams after all! Only thing I can think about is maybe a control for the camera to turn it was Q/E or something, so you can really see what you're trying to interact with. Great job in total!

Crazy Pizza by Kruger Game Studio 2023-05-02T19:49:32Z

Pretty fun, as others pointed out there were some issues with camera facing; it corrects quick enough toward the direction you want to go, but doesn't let you see if you're thinking of taking a turn though. Also agreed on the speed on hills situation, although I did feel like I was almost about to flip my car when I was racing full speed down a hill as the horizontal speed was enough to give air time haha.

Virtanen by aghoulprince 2023-05-02T20:01:01Z

I really liked the art in this, very well done; I also liked the concept and mood/ambience that's portrayed by the audio. I did have some issues with context clues scrolling really fast so I couldn't read them, and I couldn't get past the part of delivering it to your neighbor though. One thing I noticed was the interact sound was heavily panned to the right ear though! Well done in our short time overall!

Dead Deliverance by JimmyMcGinger 2023-05-02T20:17:18Z

I liked the artstyle and music here (although the audio is mixed very loudly) like others I couldn't figure out how to actually reach the big enemies that were below, maybe something to do with the fuzzy border regions? I was uncertain really, and it took me a bit to figure out the dash! Overall pretty solid!

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-04T08:21:10Z

Great art! I was surprised by JKL for the other controls at first but got used to it. I definitely got robbed by some raccoons! I liked that the difficulty increased over (time? maybe score, not sure) to keep it interesting. Thumbs up.

Fetch Quest. A small text adventure by Patrick Abernathy 2023-05-03T07:55:25Z

This takes me back, I haven't played a text game for many years! I was pretty confused at first how to interact as I tried "trade" and just using the item by itself, so maybe there could be verbs that it can accept for the character interactions? Anyways, I enjoyed this a lot, thank you!

Wicked Postage by KhaoKG 2023-05-04T18:29:29Z

@adam-gallina Haha true, the mail must flow! We planned on implementing more postage stuff where the stamps help dictate where the mail is supposed to go (papers please style @big-cow) but having been our first time working in 3D the base implementation stuff ended taking up our time. @tamara188 Apologies, I didn't think about it not being clear that the evil mail goes to the altar; as everything else goes to the bins, that could get confusing!

Wicked Postage by KhaoKG 2023-05-05T01:45:37Z

@hcs-hades Ah theres a little poster on the wall at the start thats supposed to read as "No sticker goes to trash" but I could see that getting mixed up for the demon letters!

Wicked Postage by KhaoKG 2023-05-05T22:23:28Z

@ping78 Wwise WebGL Experimental setup requires SharedArrayBuffer support in a secure context, so I would assume it's related to browser/user settings, I'm unsure which browsers have it disabled by default. That's unfortunate that it did not function for you, apologies, Web builds have a lot of caveats for sure haha.

Atomdriver by Rafagamedev 2023-05-02T23:00:03Z

I wish the destination had a little flag waving on it or something I was very confused at the start! It's simple and refreshing though once I figured it out.
