I can't run the game. Opened LD29.exe and a window popped up and told me the application stopped. My OS is Windows 7 x64.

1. The screen is too dark at the most of the time. It works for building creepy atmosphere, but maybe give the player a flashlight?
2. I got to some iron mine, jumped on it, and then the game seemed reset. What should I supposed to do then?
Graphics and music are great! I hit a dinosaur fossil and died and never got further afterwards... wonder what are in deeper place.
I've played to night 5. Reached the goal but still got killed by bombs. I think the bombs are the most interesting elements of the game. Maybe you should introduce more items/mechanics in higher levels?
The controls felt dull at first, but after I mastered them, the game plays like a special shmup and I'm having fun in it!
I played several minutes and didn't find any enemy, or what I can do for throwing the potions.
You should focus on the mechanics and level design, rather than the "tech" stuff.
Option A. Stick to the 2D engine you are using and focus on the level design. Hope to see more of your idea!
1. Simple idea but well executed. Could have done better level design with existing mechanism.
2. I didn't realize the red blocks were dangerous until they respawned and killed me. Should be more like gears with spikes or something. And have some obvious sign/timing before respawning would be nice.
3. I think it's overall an action-based game. Using the helmet to eliminate enemies/obstacles in really fun. But sometimes when I wanted to rush over a level I got easily killed. So I had to slow down and play carefully. When I slow down I usually expect some puzzle to solve but this game didn't give me.
Sorry for the harsh comments. I really appreciate the details you put into the game. Looking forward to see more!
At the first time, I think it's just like other platform games, the weapon is as same as gun. At the second time , I understand what the character used is coffee bean. The idea is good, but the game is too simple. Why not the haters use some other strange things, like cake, drink? These things would add some mood to the game.
I was attracted by the graphic. But the mood of the visual doesn't match with the music. The movement doesn't feel smooth, except jump.
The movement is very smooth. I really like that. But I think the idea strays from the point. Maybe collection is the unconventional weapon? I don't know. As a game, its purpose is really indistinct, if there isn't your introduction. I don't know what I should do and which step the game is in.
Great game with both strong strategy and action(mouse-clicking) gameplay! Could have more fun if there's more spell cards :)
