It was very satisfying to play :)
Neat little game, fits the theme well and is intuitive to play. nice bit of polish having a sphere indicate which box you're targeting. Level design could have done with some more variety to make the challenge more interesting.
Interesting concept, if I may add a couple of suggestions:
- Box spawn seens too random, the second time I did level 1 (I lost the first time) got the first blue box around 10s left. - Shadows should be front top to bottom, when the box drops on the ground its hard to judge where is going to land when you look at its shadow.
Hey, congratulations on finishing the game for the gamejam!
Some quick tips that would make the game much more enjoyable quickly - making the music not restart each time you start a level. Perhaps add few more tracks to it, the song itself gets rather tiresome after few loops.
The controls themselves are fine, but there are some weird things happening with the boxes - you can pick up and stick one into another ones for one thing. You also need to collide with box to make it fall if you take off the one underneath it.
its was fun to play, but the song got annoying after a some time.
Nice and easy to pick up. You made good use of the theme and the graphics, while simple, are pleasant. The control is responsive and I enjoyed the mechanics. I found the game a bit easy. I think to increase the challenge you could make it so you can't drop additional boxes on completed platforms and also remove the ability to toss them off the edge. Good job!
Very cool game! It fits the theme well. The controls were smooth, and I was glad that the little robot moved satisfyingly quickly - I think a lot of jam games tend to have controls that are too slow.
The one complaint that I have is that it was a bit easy. I never really felt in danger of the timer running out. I'm guessing the box drops are random. You could create some controlled difficulty by scripting them instead of being random. Look at it this way, your jam game will probably be played for 5 minutes at most. It's better to give a highly curated, tuned 5 minutes than leave it to chance.
I think there's a bug where you can double your run speed when moving diagonally, which may have made it a bit easier than intended, too.
Oooh, I was not good at this game. The controls are a little touchy; I like that WASD is related to the direction and NOT forward-backward-clockwise-counterclock, but I had trouble with moving just a bit to line up with a block. Being as unskilled as I am, I would also prefer a top-down or isometric view. Later blocks impeded my view. And/or maybe you could add a sound effect when I've properly got a block in hand; then I might keep going without being able to see. Congratulations on finishing a fully functional game!
It's a cute little game! The randomization was a bit too randomized; did a lot of just waiting for the colors I needed after fulfilling the needs of the other colors. Great job for a jam, though!
Really cool game, the spawning is a little bit weird, I had not time before I got the right cubes so maybe add more extra time but it fits the theme perfectly :D
Very nice and I like that you didn't have to drop the correct colors as it auto drops it
Nice and simple game :) Sadliy sometimes there are not enough boxes of required color
