nice
That was quite the unique take on this theme. I'd make some kind of progression for the attack though, it gets impossible later on because the attack stays weak.
i found the balance of ennemy health was to high. ennemy with less life and a more frequent spawn would have been great. Nice sound design ^^
This game is sweet! Fits the theme nicely and is pretty hard. I wish the gun didn't take so many shots to kill a burger, but I can't complain. Nicely polished.
Fun game. I do think the balance was a little off. Either fewer enemies or enemies with less health would have made it feel a little better. But other than that, fun, as I said. Neat concept thematically.
I loved the variety of farts, good researching job! xD I only hope you didn't recorded it yourself
The concept is very funny, to bad it can't be played for very long ;p
A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. But our game is better)))
Great and very fun little game! It works perfectly as a time killer! Graphics are good and the background music and the sound effects are a nice touch.
Overall very enjoyable little game. Had so much fun playing it! Well done!
Very funny! Thank you for the pleasant emotions.
Nice idea and the theme fits good. The game is fun, but after I reached some size I couldn't shoot any longer, is that on purpose?
Awesome game! I enjoy the art and mood of it. Keep up the good work!
As many others have stated, I think the core idea of this game is very fun, but the biggest issue lies in just how unbalanced it is. Right from the get-go, burgers start spawning at an insane rate that, even if you are precise with your gun, you inevitably end up being overwhelmed by them no matter where you go because they all take a crazy amount of health to kill. Either burgers need to spawn less frequently or take less hits to kill (with the rate they spawn in the initial game, it would probably, well, more reasonable if they all went out in one hit). But yeah, I like the idea of enemies making you larger if they hit you. It makes them easier to hit, but at the same time, you run the risk of killing yourself with the spiked borders.
I also noticed that you fire less responsively as you get bigger and I'm not sure if this is intentional, since it seems like you can fire at the same rate once you click and hold again. The burgers also seem to be killable by just touching them with the end of the ketchup bottle if you click and hold and swing the bottle back and forth in front of them. Because of that, I have to wonder if maybe invisible, short-range bullets are being fired?
The graphics were pretty goofy and made sense for the humourous concept, along with the sound effects. The chiptune music was suitable and good. Overall, the game is pretty amusing.
@max6333 @kywu @ben-penwell @aflatthrasher @random-storykeeper yes sorry it is very hard and you inevitably get overwhelmed with burgers pretty quickly - tbh I didn't feel the gameplay had a lot of longevity to it so I wanted the player to die before it got old (also to force them to 'run out of space'), but you're right it does make it feel unfairly hard. I think I'd probably deal with this by having the difficulty start of easier and then get harder, or have enemies come in increasingly difficult waves.
@leeloo @random-storykeeper once you get to a certain size your bullets end up hitting enemies instantly a lot of the time, meaning that the instance is destroyed before it's even visible, and there's no visual feedback that you've fired a bullet at all. If I spent more time on it I'd make visible feedback for when you hit an enemy (like a little splat).
Thanks everyone for playing and leaving feedback! :)
Oh and @pinoza it's just one sound that Rob recorded, the pitch is varied through code :)
@awix Thanks for your feedback, Rob (the audio designer) would like more specific feedback on how you would suggest improving the music?
I like the idea, that the player gets thicker by eating fast food. I killed 129000 Calories. A pity, that you can't evade anymore if you are too fat, but I guess that's the punishment for eating^^ Nice simplistic and solid game, good job.
This was funny. Controlled well too. Do you run out of ammo? I felt that onceI ate a burger (while holding down click) it stopped and I had to start clicking again. Other than that, a very good simple game, which is genuinely funny. Great entry!
Good game! I killed 64000 calories, I would be great if the player got perhaps other powerups the more you eat, like a stomp attack to damage nearby calories. Now the projectiles get bigger but I didn't notice if they also kill more calories. Perhaps letting the projectiles pierce a certain amount of calories relative to the size of the player?
Well done!
Nice idea! Music and sound effects combined with the art put a smile on my face. Also, it made me hungry...
Haha! Love it! God did I ever get fat by the end. Really clever take on the theme and also hilarious! Cool music, intuitive controls, fun game!
Very funny game! Nice assets and simple but fun mechanics~ My critics are the same as of others, too quickly overwhelmed by burgers and no feedback on shots when too big (though I realized what was going on), so yeah, maybe nerf their life and spawn rate but maybe increase their attack? Also make the arena smaller? Just some thoughts :smiley_cat:
Cheers!
Big size me! ahahhah. Great funny game!!! Congrats
