Ok,so...
The game is amazing, i loved the music, the graphics and the difficulty.
The only downside is that i was lost at the controls most of the time where i wanted to quickly jump while shooting a lot of bullets so i could continuously clean the buildings and shoot the airplanes. But because i was constantly pressing the fire button i almost all the time accidentally pressed jump again and did the ground pound missing the airplanes and taking a hit. Unfortunately, because of the theme you can't do this, but maybe another button for the ground pound would improve the controls that are already very responsive and natural.
Or even less charge time on the super ball would resolve, i think.
An amazing work nevertheless!

I actually liked the controls, they are very responsive though a little bit too fast.
I was offset in the position of the tree, i could not go to the leftmost side of it but could go to the rightmost side.
The sound and music are very cool but could use a little bit of compression.
Good game overall!

The collision is a bit off and the theme was not well explored. But you did created an ambiance and a mood, for that good job.

Turning into a orb is fun indeed hehe. The tutorials were a bit late since i already had to do what they were teaching before they showed up.

I do enjoy SMB a lot and i see how you wanted to implement the same level design into it, the only problem is that the controls were not "natural", because of the new mechanic which is a totally different (unlike jumping, running and wall jumps which feel like an natural extension of our reflex). The new mechanic has a cool touch but it is a little bit difficult to control, maybe zooming out would greatly increase the control since i could then see where i would land. Also a meter to know when i would run out of "orb magic" to prepare myself, i never knew when it was going to be over and ended up panicking and dying when it did. The sound queue is nice, but not everyone can associate.

Difficulty is what gives an extra challenge to the game making us wanting to play it more, but because of the controls and camera the difficulty became frustration, and that's a really bad thing to happen.

Overall, i would love to see you implement more this game after the jam and see where it goes. Well done!

At first i was like "whoa, this is cool", ten seconds later i was like"err.. what am i doing here?".

So to explain that, i really liked the idea of the DS it was really cool, the problem is that i had to scroll the page to be able to see the top part, which takes off my focus on the game. Even though you explained the objective of the game, it was still confusing but it may have been my misundertanding of the rules. The only reason i did not played more was because of dying in the butterfly stage and having to continue from the start. That is really frustrating.

So the innovation is fantastic, you just need to work the game design a little more.

Awesome game!

I laughed really hard at the end. The level progression is fantastic, you showed the mechanics one at a time and then put them all together at the end making it really challenging.
I got a little bit confused at the stairs, maybe a the key to go through the stairs could be drawn into the wall or something. So i panicked a little bit both times i had to go through it.
Feeling that you could have juiced even more with just those three mechanics i think you should keep working on it and expand to make a bigger game. Maybe for mobile? I would totally play it.

This game is awesome.

I see a really good potential for a full mobile game. If you guys make i will totally play it.
I cannot say enough, the music is good, the sounds are good, the controls are responsive and the hitbox react perfectly. And really good that you can select the difficulty, i wish i had put that on my game now hehe.
