Simple but nice

haokai-xu-1999 2025-04-07 14:00

I want to try this, could you please upload a Mac or web version?

dnp 2025-04-07 14:50

I like the atmosphere and the physics are satisfying. I would have liked to finish the game but I got stuck on the first glider level. Using the power made me fall a bit slower but nowhere near enough to make the jump. I tried getting as much forward momentum as possible for the jump. Am I missing something?

caeonosphere 2025-04-08 11:06

@dnp Looks like I had a bug where the glide required a little too much precision. I just posted a version with a fix for this — let me know if you give it another try!

@haokai-xu-1999 The bugfix version also has an OSX build. :)

That was nice! Great work

Really nice atmosphere and the blob physics are very satisfying. I would recommend continuing to polish levels and make them a little less precise platforming and instead focus on puzzle aspects.

Nice game! I enjoyed it. Some comments:

* The mouse controls were super sensitive, also the ball was a bit too fast and slippery for me * It took me a while with the glider to realize there is a countdown before you even start using it. Maybe make this a bit more movious with sounds or put the counter in the middle of the screen. That level was really hard (and I skipped the first platform) * I didn't know what to do on the level with the lasers. What was that crystal? * Pretty cool that the ball could squeeze through things :)

@christian-zommerfelds

* Yeah, not proud of the keyboard and mouse controls. This was my first time using Unity's "Input System"... definitely a learning process. * The countdown for the glider in the upper left tells you how much time it has left, and there shouldn't be any time after picking it up before you can use it. Maybe there's a bug? * In the level with the lasers, you just have to get past them and then use the little lip to do a walljump-stomp (or just stand on it and jump off):

The crystal is one of the five secrets to find: probably the least secretive one. Thanks for playing! :D

I'm lucky i have a gamepad, game is better with it. Very solid, good controls.

Interesting movement mechanics and challenging levels. The graphics and music are pretty good too. Although, the camera movement made me a little 3D dizzy. Overall, it's a very good game.

helagos 2025-04-09 19:05

Very interesting concept and physic. I had a little wow effect when I was able to pass the drop through the rock pillars I liked the music as well ! Good job !

sleepyfikou 2025-04-09 22:34

Awesome 3D platformer! Sort of reminded me of Marble Blast with how you had to manage your momentum. The way the angle of your walljump was based on your movement direction was also very cool, and made some of the challenges tricky to figure out in a satisfying way. The second to last level was probably my favorite, very technical and precise. Excellent work!

bamboodesigner 2025-04-11 12:08

Physics fells good. It might be better if the vertical inertia eliminates when LMB is pressed, which provide more control to player.

lucasito 2025-04-12 10:13

No version for Linux ? ):

rubatotree 2025-04-12 13:18

I like the low poly 3D art and the atmosphere very much! And it's surprising to realize that the music is written in 7/8 beats. The modulations in the music are just beautiful. The gameplay is also enjoyable. Really good job.

By the way, if you love musics in unusual beats, try my game! I wrote a 5/4 music for it. :fish: :droplet:

henk 2025-04-12 14:21

I can't beat this. The camera is hypersensitive to mouse movement, frequently oscillates forwards and back to dodge obstacles, and for some reason can't be tilted upwards (effectively blinding me whenever I need to go up). Meanwhile, rather than giving me time to line up the camera so I can jump to a place I otherwise wouldn't be able to see, there's a thing shooting at me :(. I don't own a controller so maybe I would have been less frustrated had I used one.

Other than that, I liked the audio and visuals. The music especially strikes me as much more complex than what you find in most compo games.

@lucasito the windows version runs fine for me on Linux using Wine.

hijomo 2025-04-12 18:25

The music and atmosphere felt good.

torte478 2025-04-16 16:28

I really enjoyed this game: the music, graphics, and variety of mechanics. The physics are a bit unpredictable, and I never managed to beat the glider level (shame on me). But the concept is truly excellent. I think this could evolve into a great Metroidvania!

jonathan-vogt 2025-04-16 21:39

WOW what a game! Definitely one of the toughest games in Ludum Dare I've played, but also one of the most fun. The music is also beautiful; I'm tempted to ask if it's up one Youtube. As for critique, sometimes I found it difficult to navigate the darker portions of the game, and when platforming is such a pivotal component, not having those visuals made clear can make things particularly difficult. There was also one point where I accidentally clipped through the floor doing a ground pound. Overall, though, beautiful game. I love it. Great job!

bentglasstube 2025-04-21 03:20

The atmosphere of this game is really exquisite, nice work. I enjoyed the game up until the maze level, where the controls were just too sensitive and I got frustrated. Great work on the gameplay and atmosphere though, one of my favorites I've played.

sinclairstrange 2025-04-22 18:17

The atmosphere and mood of this game is beautiful, I love the vibes that this game is giving off. It's a rather difficult game, maybe due to the controls being sensitive was a little hard to navigate the camera at times, but other than that, it's oozing with atmosphere and personality that I adored. Well done!

paulsams 2025-04-22 20:05

In general, I didn't see any new mechanics or anything else, but anyway, well done for making such a platformer!
