Was a bit buggy - seemed to have a little bit of slowdown and it even crashed once when i held the S button - but I do quite like the idea

could have given more clear instructions and try to make single player games since most of the players are going to be the devs participated in jam itself.
This game's art style was very vibrant and colourful and I loved it!
However, there are some aspects of the game that I took issue with.
The lack of a tutorial or how to play menu stood out to me. I didn't know what I was meant to do, whether or not I was meant to complete the Tetris like a normal game, or what the conveyor belts did. Though this is a pitfall I also fell into in a previous game jam.
The music did get a bit repetitive, but hey, 72 hours isn't a whole lot of time to work with, so I totally get it.
Overall I liked the concept of recontextualizing Tetris as being part of an actual factory and the art was great, but I couldn't figure out what to do, which knocks this game down a few pegs for me. Solid effort though!
@jumbods64, darn, I'm sorry about that.
@random-ideation-studios, so it *can* be a two person game, but it is balanced around being a single player experience, where you control both the factory and the tetris board.
@rabbitaddix Thank you for the feedback. I could start the game with instructions up. Do you have any suggestions on how the instructions could be improved on the description page?
Very interesting take on the Tetris style! It was a bit confusing at first to control both the factory and the Tetris game but it is fun!
Took a little fiddling around to figure out how to play the game. Very interesting and chill take on Tetris. Pretty fun.
Cool idea for multitasking two things at once, but both tasks are pretty one-dimensional. It's easy to let the tetris blocks fall very slowly without worrying about them, and assembling tetrominoes you can basically make only lines if you want to. I think this game could use some sort of pressuring mechanic, like you have to meet quotas of certain types of blocks. I also felt like the notes broke the flow of the game. But cool idea and good job!
@adrieldf, @flanne, yeah, adding some graphics to show how the factory works should help.
@roguebrain, it's definitely meant to be chill, but if you play for a while the speed increases, and if you fail to deliver pieces, you'll lose.
A bit hard to understand at first, I thought I should fill the grid near the spawners lol, but I think it's a good tetris like idea, the art style is also pretty clear, I had fun playing for a while!
Love it! The way you integrated the classic tetris with the theme and the idea you came up with is truly clever :) good job!
quite an unusual idea, you did a good job!
@0x-void-x0, @mikyll, @polinachrr, thank you, you guys are so kind!
It's a bit complicated to start, but is a nice mixed concept
The version of Tetris I always wanted to play, where I can make the shapes I want! That feels really good, and I love that it can be one or two-player; that's quite an achievement to make the same gameplay work either way. I did find a bug where on restart, the first piece that came down I couldn't move or turn.
@nandelind, thank you! My brother's wife found that bug, too, haha. I'm glad you liked the gameplay.
I really like this "behind the scenes" idea. Lovely twist on tetris!
Very cool! I've never played a tetris game where i had to craft my own blocks before :D
I've just uploaded a version with some of the reported bugs fixed, along with a brief instruction at the very beginning.
Had a ton of fun with this! Took me a bit of time to figure out how to play but was having a blast when I figured it out
Hello, the game is beautifully done, the idea is great
Overtime at the Tetromino Factory is a nostalgic callback to earlier tetris games with a delivery style construction twist. I love classic arcade games and this one fits in with the rest. Starting a new game can feel kind of slow, but other than that it is a load of fun :) Have a great ludum dare !
It was difficult to keep up with doing both at the same time, I would often just focus on playing tetris after building up a lot of tetrominos in advance, but then forgot to put them on the belt so I still lost despite everything going fine haha. Fun concept though, having a second player could definitely make it entertaining
Wow, that taxed my brain for sure, having to do both at the time, but if I had a second player that would sure be an amazing experience. Loved the concept though, with a little more time it could be a great little timewaster, really good! Had fun and that's all I care about, great stuff! ^-^
Reminded me of some game :eyes:
But i liked hat you did with the environment and style! Well done, great entry :)
Very clever idea! It's a fun challenge to split my attention between the two games. The only thing that didn't really work for me is that the music didn't feel like it fit the frantic mood of the game.
Great entry, thanks for the game :)
Neat idea! The text boxes stay on the screen for quite a bit longer than necessary, though.
