WOW, love it!. A game with a very polished and interesting gameplay. Progressive difficulty, good music and a very correct visual style. Perfect Entry, good job

WOW, love it!. A game with a very polished and interesting gameplay. Progressive difficulty, good music and a very correct visual style. Perfect Entry, good job
You've done it again! Really clever and fun mechanics/puzzles. There is room for polish in the bg/environment art but everything else is top notch. Can see this expanded with even more mixtures.
Really like this, good fun and great idea for unstable theme and fun game. Got stumped on this level, but don't tell me, I'll try work it out next time I play it.
Hazmat Magic.jpg
Also like the chill music for it too. Nice work!
@javicoder Thank you such much for your quick feedback! I need that lol this was a tough jam. 🙂
This is a great game! The puzzles were just right on difficulty, not totally defeating but took a moment on some. Basic enough mechanics but flexible enough to stay interesting to the end. Well done!
funny little man, love him, also fun gam :^)
@silkworm-sweatshop Thank you! As always I wanted to do a little more with the visuals but didn't get the time
@soul-grinder Thank you! Sorry about that "puzzle", it's gonna **jam** up a lot of people, there's a very specific solution.
@adrenallen Thank you! Glad you like it. Mechanics *are* pretty simple. Same old stuff in a different configuration
@peepo173 Thank you! Glad you had fun!
I made it in 9 min with 16 deaths, well science ain't easy! Really enjoyed it, so amazed on how you introduced mechanics and made a little Portal of it's own. Amazing!
@binaryprinciple Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Wow! Really awesome game. Feels really really polished, both the art and gameplay. Love it!
This is an excellent game. Really love the gameplay, and the graphics/controls are very smooth and fitting. Great work!
@dodori Thanks! Glad you love it!!! @david-bohan Thank you for your feedback! Glad you like it!
Really awesome game. Very tight controls! chill music and easy to play. I am stuck at the same spot as mentioned before. Even though the art style is minimilistic I think it could look a little nicer. overall a fantastic creation. excellent job! (solved the puzzle, was just a matter of getting the angles right)
I love this game so much! The pixel animation and controls are well polished. The game mechanism is so compact that only the two types of liquid and a cup are used to make such variety of levels. Nice work!
Game looks kinda ugly so I wasn't expecting much but damn that was smooth as hell. There's so many little things like with the behaviour of the foot particles or the checkpoint rings that just feel polished to a degree I didn't know was possible.
Then on top of that mechanically it's elegant, having the projectiles act as fuel and then over-filling for the explosion, great job!
Only real criticism is it's still not a looker, I'm guessing the intention was just to see how "flow-y" you could get it feeling without focusing on fancy art though I still think it detracts slightly. Perhaps too easy also.
Wonderful little game, love the humor too! The execution is incredibly smooth, and the audio and music is superb for the style. Well done!
That was REALLY GOOD. The platforming was as smooth a butter, and mechanics were intuitive and easy to execute, and the pixel art and music was on point. Even the corporate messages were quirky and humorous. I have no criticisms to give, I only wished that this game was longer. My final time was 8:43, and I had 20 deaths.
Awesome! You made are really good game fo jam. Sounds, effects, mechanics. I love it

This was great! I really loved the character animation and the puzzles were the perfect level of difficulty for me. The level @soul-grinder got stuck on stumped me for a minute but I got it after wondering why some of the clues were there... The character control felt great and the level humor reminded me of Portal. I'd really like to see the game expanded on and I'm glad I played it. Thanks for sharing your game!
Really impressed by the tutorial / introduction of gameplay mechanics through the levels. Proper introduction of controls and game rules is a rarity in a game jam game, good work!
Neat mechanics ideas, with great level design! Well done
This is awesome! Really polished movement and cool puzzles. Gives me megaman vibes maybe just because of the art. Nice job!
I really enjoy that. a great idea good job.
Got till the end, that mega explosion from mixing green and blue was cool lol. The puzzles were cool and had a great usage of the mechanics on offer from the game. the second last puzzle seemed like it required too much of a precision shot for what you can do in the game. Still a cool puzzle though. The sound was nice and calming. The visuals seemed a little too plain tbh. Not too much was really striking from them. None the less, this is a solid entry. Great job
Excellent game! Wanted to play this till the end! Great ideas and fun puzzles. The minimalistic art looked nice and helped show what was important. Great entry! hazmat.PNG
Great game :D Felt very polished! I did get stuck for a while on the level with the stuck blue beaker. Also I was wondering if there were a level where both effects would be present... well.. I found it 💥
@crumson Thanks for your feedback! Sorry that puzzle is a tough one. Too precise a location without enough training up to that point.
@cirno Thank you for your feedback! Glad you love it :)
@brandon-js-lea Thanks for your feedback! I wanted to do another art pass and add some detail to the environment, maybe some post processing/palette shifting, but kept pushing it off in favor of mechanics and level design, and then I just ran out of time  Thanks though, you're right though  I kind of like the "don't judge a book by its cover" surprise lol
@lucasvb Thanks! Appreciate your feedback!
@diego-escalante Thanks for your feedback! Glad you had fun! sorry I couldn't make more levels for you
@uboretsky Thanks! Glad you liked it1
@reef Thanks for your detailed feedback! Glad you liked it! Sorry I couldn't make that 1 puzzle less sticky.
@zinnin Thanks! Level design and difficulty curve is important to me, I'm glad you liked it!
@mahjoub Thanks!
@peterfiftyfour Thanks! I can kinda see the Megaman thing now that you mention it lol
@badpiggy Thanks! I really liked being able to have the mechanics create that little story beat with the green and blue mix ending the universe lol You're right about the visuals and that puzzle, just chalk it up the usual jam problems though.
@louiejams Thanks for your feedback! Glad you had fun!
@parasite210 Thanks for your feedback! I decided to end without using green and blue, because if the two mixed into cyan then I'd have to figure out another mechanic and then use all the elements together. I did try to have a room with both the blue and green bubbles already active without beakers, but cut it out for time.
I really liked the game and would gladly play more! Fun and polished.
Of course there is room for some improvements without worrying about game jam time limitations like a bit more rich graphics, but overall really good job!
@hybridlizard Thanks! Def room for improvement, game jams are hard lol
@ismael-rodriguez Yeah, this was my first LD and I decided to use it to learn Godot, only knowing some basics and watching tutorials before with no game made. It was tough but valuable experience ;-)
Loved it, the game is so polish, the puzzle are great, graphics are cute and sound does a good job, could have been one of my favorite nes game :) Really nice work !
@namnam Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Actually super creative as a jam game. Reusing similar mechanics to do different things is so fun when done right and you did just that. Sure the art style has some improvement potential but even what you have right now is super consistent and very easy to understand. I really like this game overall!
@drsmey Thank you! Glad you like it. Always wish I could have done a little more
Great game. Super fun. love the simple but effective art style.
@fear-games Thanks! Glad you liked the minimalist art but I wish I could have done just a little more
Thank you for your game! I liked it very much, so fun and cool
@yerkwell THANK YOU! Glad you liked it :)
Hello old friend, it seems we meet again...and again you deliver something magical! What I loved the most about it's the multiple way you explore the main mech. Great entry Ismael!
@publicidadeba Thank you! It's so cool you found it magical! Thanks!
I really like how you introduce each new mechanic to the player, it feels like a journey overall. Your level design skills are top-notch, simple but effective graphics are highly complimentary to the general vibe of the game. Been a fan since last jam, you created your own style and it is a pleasure to experience your games. Kudos!
@haivron THANK YOU! I was worried this looked a little too much like my game Below The Ocean, but just accepted that it was also kind of cool too for them to share styles.
Very cool mechanics, it was a lot of fun. Goodjob.
@kenforest Thanks for your feedback! Glad you had fun!
This game feels so right, You are never bored for a minute the pace is perfect, Great mechanics and level design and I really like the fact you don't scale up low res pixel art and you fit the res around it instead. Makes the game feels more NESy I guess. Amazing.
@shmador Thanks! Glad it kept you entertained! I love low rez art, but I'm also not against "modern" pixel art with rotations or sub-pixels :) Depends on the game and what looks best :)
SUPER FUN!! I loved the colors, the level design and the feel it has. I was interested till the end. The music is stylish and it's obvious it was a game crafted with care. Only thing I have to say is that the controls felt a bit sluggish at the start, but maybe it's my browser that has a problem since I played teh webgl version. Congrats :)
@mmisspelling Thanks for your feedback! There is an bug I have to look at related to input at start up, once you make it out of the first room you should be okay. My logo is also blacked out lol X_X
An excellent game, a vivid example of how to make interesting platformers with gradually increasing difficulty)
@tory Thank you for your feedback and playing on Stream! It was fun to watch!!!
nice entry, i had fun, awsome level design!
Love your game! Only thing I want to suggest is more magical potions and more levels!
Loved loved loved this game! Only thing missing is a leaderboard so we can all speedrun :P
@charles-viau Thanks! I have to thank my wife for my level designs! Without her testing, no way it's this good
@nshbae Thank you! I'd love some more potions and levels too lol
@simpathey Thank you thank you thank you! Thanks for playing on stream, that was awesome! Leaderboards would be very cool, gotta figure out how that works though
Really interesting mechanics! Nice gameplay, and both visuals and audio! For a one-man-band, it is just unbelievable good for three days!
Great little game. Good use of introducing new mechanics as the game progresses. Like @simpathey said a leaderboard would be great.
@leokrechmer Thanks! Def hard to work alone sometimes, thanks!
@bangkerpow Thank you. I'll have to figure out a leaderboard system for yall
Loved your game :) (finished in 07:57 with 17 deaths) Small details, like the idle animation, were a nice touch...
Only thing I'd change is that the text sometimes changes too fast and we may not have enough time to read it.
I loved Below the Ocean last ludum dare, and I love this one as well :)
I love the idea of this game and the mechanics used. The only thing I struggled a bit with was to aim correctly when throwing, but everything else is super clear and smooth. The visual and audio feedbacks when clearing a level or doing stuff are just amazing. I have to study your style, it's really inspiring !
@wendel-scardua Thanks for your feedback. The text was added SUPER late, maybe 30-15 minute before submission lol So yeah I didn't really have time to polish it sorry. Basically the jump button doubles as a "okay" button, so you can skip the text, but it def needs some grace time for people to read :)
@yorsh Thanks! Glad you love my games ^_^ The throwing mechanics could def be better, I think it might be fun to have different types of throws too, like maybe holding the button down turns it into a straight show in any direction? That way we can be a little more accurate for certain puzzles.
@ismael-rodriguez
> like maybe holding the button down turns it into a straight show in any direction
That could be it yeah ! An horizontal throw would have helped a lot in the situations I struggled.
First and foremost a very satisfying experience! Snappy controls and thoughtful but relaxing puzzles, coupled with just the right amount of juice. Lovely put together. One distraction was that the bass kicks in the soundtrack were a lot louder and stronger than the rest of the music, so they felt really harsh on the ears when listening through headphones. Neat overall!
@outfrost Thank you for your feedback! You're right about the kicks, def need address that! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing on stream!
Very polished package. The music, the animations(!!), the gameplay mechanics are all very high quality. It has a good amount of content too. Nice job!
@kevlanche Thank you! Thanks for playing on stream :smile_cat:
Really cool mechanic and a creative use of it, I think this will be one of the top games. Graphics were nice too.
@fancyreckless THANKS! glad you liked it! We'll see how the ratings turn out. I'm happy with most of my entry regardless :)
wow such an amazing game the movement was very smooth and fun to play with and the music is incredible good job
@omarmobadr Thanks! Im happy to hear you had fun! Thank you for playing!
I found you through your webgl tips. I have to say what a fantastic lovely little game! It was excellent and overall amazing. The creativity in the puzzles using such few mechanics was very nice with lovely little graphics and was decently challenging and fun. Amazing job I would love to learn more about your process making this. I'm impressed with having a great 2d character controller. Honestly would love to see more of your insight, decision making process, and having you as some kind of teacher haha, I feel like there's a lot to learn from a small lovely game like this. I'd say this is a real winner!
My only criticism from this game is having the text on the bottom left last longer. I missed the "2 parts = stable" thing and I got stuck not knowing why the bottle was breaking. Other than that the invisible tutorials teaching about unstable bottles was very clever and adding in overlapping elements was very smart. There's a lot of talent here.
Congratulations, a really well-developed work, there's no doubt that you really know what you're trying to do, but unlike your wonderful game from the last ludum that everything was in perfect harmony, in this one I felt that the mechanics and polishing surpassed the visual aesthetic itself. of the game, not that it's bad, but it was swallowed up by the elements I mentioned, which ended up looking like a very well-made prototype of mechanics, rather than a game itself, I hope I helped a big hug.
@pious Thanks for your feedback! Sorry about the dialog issues, it was rushed. I also thought about putting a "workplace poster" in the bg showing "2 drops good 3 drops boom"
I have a neglected YouTube channel I should be using to share more of my methods, we'll see if I come up with something from this jam.
@etrealjunior Thanks for your feedback. Below The Ocean was a much more "complete" entry, development on it was also super smooth, where Hazmat Magic seemed to bring up all kinds of little problems I had to figure out. But I agree BTO was a bit more polished and novel. Thanks again!
@ismael-rodriguez Totally understandable! It wasn’t the biggest setback. And I discovered the channel! Definitely deserved a subscribe, enjoyed watching your previous devlogs and I absolutely enjoyed the little animation technique top. 5 minute tip videos on something that can be incredibly useful tend to be very memorable.
That was really fun to play, super smooth and i'm a sucker for properly pixelated effects. Music and sounds (footsteps!) were super pleasant, a great vibe. The progression was also cool, your experience with that clearly shows. It could have been a bit harder for me, but i think it's better to be on the easier side for a jam, so that more people can have fun with it. I'm a bit sad it isn't visually really finished, the grey is a bit depressing. I think it could have worked to just add a little color instead of the grey, maybe varying per screen. The only slightly frustrating bit for me was, that i was never sure where my glass would land. Like, i wanted the blue one to create an upward moving thing, but stood too close to the wall and it made it sideways, although i pressed the right buttons for upwards. Same with throwing, as the impact height is important for at least one puzzle. Maybe a small throwing arc would help with that, but i totally understand there was no time left for it. Anyway, great entry again, and now i'm wondering if we'll see another puzzle platformer for LD50 from you :D
@rongo-matane Thanks for your feedback! Glad you had fun. There's def opportunities to improve the throwing mechanics, I have some ideas there. Visually yeah, very undeveloped, grey bg was probably not a great choice. I stuck art on the back burner and hoped to touch it up later but just never got around to it, makes me sad too lol.
Regarding LD50.... I was telling my wife I don't want to make a platformer lol, but it kind of depends on the theme and just whatever idea comes from it. The first image i had in my mind's eye was the player dodging chemical drops then using them to fill a beaker, so that's what I ran with. We'll see though, I still want to try and FPS someday :)
Thanks again! :)
the tutorial is fantastic, looking forward to post jam levels
Really solid entry! Loved the simple yet effective graphics and the versality of the mechanics. No real complaints honestly, great work.
@rookrules Thanks! I have some post jam stuff in mind, we'll see :) Thanks for playing on stream!
@jon-topielski Thanks! I appreciate your feedback!

Once again a nice little game! Simple artstyle with low amount of colors gives a clear indication of what is usable as game objects. Fitting audio as well, it would be cool to see even more colors and/or ways to securely combine colors :)
@elysiagriffin Thank you so much for playing on stream! :)
@chartle Thanks! The programming is in there to mix colors, I just had to cut it short for the jam, so I stopped it at green and blue. But the idea is that in a future version green and blue equals cyan and them has some other ability to use.
Great game! Love the little puzzles. The dialogue disappears a bit too fast for me to read though. I see lots of room for expansion for this one!
@cdunham Thanks! Glad you love the puzzles! The dialog disappears because you pressed the jump button ;) I'll probably remove that post jam.
Really nice platformer. Super fun and polished. Great idea too!
@plutonium-powered Thanks! Glad you had fun!
Really enjoyed your game ! I'm always impressed by those game that are able to go beyond the basic mechanics and to propose some declinations with an inventive level design. Congrats :)
Excellent entry, everything from the clearly explained controls, to the feel to the exploration of the mechanic. One of my favourites in this Jam. Really clever level design , I have no idea how you done this in 72 hours..let alone how you done it solo! Really impressed, Great Job!
@gaming-night Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
@denzil-gomes Thanks! I've got a bit of experience from past jams, still 72 hrs can be hard to everything and most ideas get cut.
As last ludum dare... your game is one of my fav games again. I would say its a little bit shorter than the deeper and deeper game but fantastic too :)
@robbzenone Thanks for your feedback. Def a bit shorter. I can clear it in about 3:30. Glad you think it's still fantastic!
Amazing entry! I want more :D a little extra work on graphics, additional levels and you could sell it :)
@kongo Thank you! Very flattering! Although I think making a marketable version would be a little more than a little extra work 😅
hehe it's true, but still you should do it :D
Really enjoyed this, which isn't surprising as I always enjoy your games! The puzzle with the sideways lift had me stumped for a minute :D
I'll agree that the gray bg feels drab, but the colors you need to pay attention to really pop against it, so it's easy to focus on what's important.
Also the throwing mechanics weren't always clear. There were a few times I had to reset a stage because the beaker didn't end up where I expected it to. Not a big deal, and I'm sure it'd have been ironed out if you'd had more time.
Music and sound are on point too, really nice vibe. Excellent entry once again!
@cameron-paxton Thanks! I appreciate your detailed feedback and understanding jam problems lol 😊
Lovely stuff, despite the graphics being really simple they work in the games favour so it doesn't over complicate stuff. Excellent puzzles, really nice atmosphere, will be going back to finish this game when I have the time but with that I spent with it, it was really solid, felt great to play and was highly polished. Top stuff :)
@sinclairstrange Thanks for your feedback! ^_^
