The graphics are amazing, but the gameplay feels weird. I had a hard time figuring out the hook mecanic and I ended up falling through a wall...
After a few tries I became more fluent, so overall it's ok.
It's nice you made your game playable on Linux !
It was really fun to play, the hook mechanic is really interesting and fairly explored by level design. My only complaint is that the game broke when I accidentally got myself into a wall, but it's a game jam so that kind of stuff is expected. Great job!
I think it's a good sign that's even with the wall bug I've restart the game two times to finish it. At first the feeling of the hook is weird. At second, still weird, but kinda like it.

I beat it! :D
I liked the clear and simple graphic style and the concept was interesting, too.
Gameplay-wise it felt mostly enjoyable except for a couple of issues: walking movement was a bit slow and there were some bugs due to the collision system (I got stuck inside the walls quite a few times, and once I think I actually fell through the floor while falling at a high speed).
Level design made good use of your available mechanics, specially the hook. The mechanic itself was quite fun to use, although a bit glitchy (I played it on a controller, btw).
Keep working on it, with a bit more polish it can easily become a solid game. Great job! :D
Nice job! I agree about the controls, it was difficult to handle. There does seem to be some issues with falling out of the wall.
Character controller is incredibly slow. The hook-fling mechanic is not intuitive with the controls of holding a direction + the hook button + move delay. The level design wasn't made with the hook system in mind. Since it is supposed to be your primary mode of movement, the ceiling and walls need to be within hook reach more often than not.
The aesthetic of the game is uniform and looks good.
Level collides need work, fell through the level at the first drop. Couldn't get past that part and can't tell if the game is in the "one room" theme.

The mechanic was very interesting! I liked how it allowed me to play the level pretty much how I wanted; versatile powerups like that are always welcome. Unfortunately the collision detection seemed not to work at times, and I had to restart the game once after falling through the floor. Ended up beating it, though!

The game is beautiful and the gameplay is fun, but damn, i don't know if it's me but the controls are really hard, but good job anyway !

Lots of clipping into walls. Interesting mechanics though!
Amazing game as always!

First, *clap clap* for coding it in C.
Then, nice job. The graphics are coherent, simple and effective.
I preferred to play with my gamepad over my keyboard (I tried both), it felt more... "intuitive" but it's a personal thing.^^ I found the timing a bit hard to get if you want to spider-man the levels.
It reminded me the ninja rope of Worms (Armageddon), a game mechanic I loved and spent hours & hours on just doing maps based on it.
There is a little problem of clipping with some walls, like passing through the ground and having to restart the game or clipping through walls. But overall the physic part is good.

Good mechanics, took a bit time to get used to it tho.
Funny concept, a bit hard to master though. But the realization is pretty good !
It would have been good to keep the inertia when we release the hook button. And moves are a bit slow in general, indeed.
Having a lot of trouble figuring out the hooking mechanics... usually the C and K keys don't do anything... sometimes they throw out the hook.
Nice hook mechanics. The graphics remind me of the game Love.
It took a little while to get used to the hook mechanics but once I got that down I was swining around like a pro. (Well maybe not that good.) Sadly at first though I kept swinging through walls and out of bounds. Overall it was solid, fun and the graphic while simple were really well done. Great stuff!
(And thank you for your comments on my game, I thought there was no harm sticking it up on Greenlight, might as well get my use out of that thing ^^)

haha "occasional clipping"? anyway, very solid entry. you obviously took a lot of time to work on the control system and it shows. the artwork was great as well. solid entry.
Very interesting game, though sometimes the grappling thing didnt work for me? I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/-Y1GOAhzfQA
