@kodingnights seems like it's a CTF+Chrome problem, try Firefox, or copying/pasting the link! Sorry for the inconvenience =(
@colisan Indeed it was, I got it to work. Cool game! I would love to be able to abort harvesting the turnips though. Next time use MuGen for the music.
Really good game, i love graph and gameplay. Sometimes the collider are maybe too small or something else because i'm on the rock and i can't take it. Special mention to the animations, they are so cool! I love it!
The pixel art looks AMAZING! Really love this head on application of the theme, and of course a cute little veggie as the hero. Wish I could play this one, but I'm on mac :( But I offer a partial score, good sir. Great work.
Cute concept! I like the idea of adding time pressure to farming, having to judge what I do and don't have time to harvest. There's also a good number of different mechanics here to vary up the gameplay a bit. Although, I do feel that the game rewards overly cautious play; you pretty much never die unless you pull a large turnip. Feels like it needs to escalate more quickly to push the player to take more risks. That aside, I do really love the visuals! the spritework clearly had a lot of effort put into the shading, and the animation helps make the main character even more charming. I also appreciate the addition of online leaderboards Overall, a neat concept with some great art. Nice work!
Thanks for playing y'all, and thanks for your feedbacks <3
> kodingnights : I would love to be able to abort harvesting the turnips though
You'd love indeed, but wouldn't it defeat the whole dying-of-combine-harvester-if-you're-greedy thing? =D
> 0xWAVY : Wish I could play this one, but I’m on mac
Sorry, the html exporter is a pain to get working with Clickteam Fusion... I'll take a look at porting it in the coming days, and ping you if I manage to get something working =(
> superpokeunicorn : I do feel that the game rewards overly cautious play
Indeed... until the acceleration point where your only choices left are "take big risks to earn point" vs. "watch your score get slowly eaten away" (at least, that's my purposely-designed intent)
> superpokeunicorn : Feels like it needs to escalate more quickly to push the player to take more risks
I already cut down a whole bunch of get-back-in-action time compared to my previous games, but maybe I should do it even more. It's a hard thing to balance with newcomer needing time to learn at first (doing an unranked tutorial level first would a be good alternative, but I never have enough time to work on it ^^)
@kodingnights Coincidentally, I also saw your reddit post on MuGen ^^ I may try having a go at it in a future jam for sure =D
Oh my super fun game. It got that "just one more time" feel to it. I wanted soo much to make it past 300 points, but something always got me.
What I like about the game are all the little details that you have to learn - how long does each mushroom take? Are the apples worth it? The risk-reward is strong in this one.
And online leaderboard! Wow! Fantastic.
All that is missing is some music :notes:
Thanks for the game!
Oh no, I double posted because of lag :scream_cat:
I watched in on stream but i am so impressed- your game looks awesome!
Very cute game, loved the pixel art, and gameplay is simple but very effective!
Good job Colisan! Short and sweet. Especially love your pixelart!
A very fun little game. The graphics are great, the sounds fit well, and the mechanics are simple and easy to get the hang of.
This was really fun, but I really had bad aim and couldn't toss rocks. I did pretty well tho! I love the graphics and that farmer! So cute!! Should be more careful and turn the engine off and put the handbreaks on when he gets out tho.
Great graphics. Great sound effects. Engaging gameplay. Addictive game. High-score mode.
Three hours later.
Probably my favourite game this jam, so far!
@Kepsert nice words aside, your top1 score alone bring honor to my game. Thanks a lot! I'll be sure to play yours too, maybe on stream if I find some time! *(nooo, I'm not salty AT ALL to see my own score shredded.)*
Although... I don't want to spread havoc in your team tho... but this @MooNiZZ here... they're coming for you
@colisan Yea he knows the consequences; he takes top1, no spot on our LD53 team. It's up to him now :D
top 6 Lets gooo! \o/

Really fun game, great graphics. Great experience in general!
I managed to get stuck once where I was on-top of a turnip trying to harvest it, but it played the first frame of harvesting animation (no sound) and then just stuck there until I got run-over by the machine :(
The only thing I can think of that I didn't like was when apples flew half a screen to the left. :P
Very nice game!
> I managed to get stuck once where I was on-top of a turnip trying to harvest it, but it played the first frame of harvesting animation (no sound) and then just stuck there until I got run-over by the machine :(
Sorry it happened. It's actually a visual-only bug, you're still harvesting the turnip and will get unstuck after the correct amount of time. It's a tryharder-only bug as it happen when you press jump frame-perfectly right before landing on a turnip :sunglasses: Sadly, I saw it a bit too late and wasn't able to fix it before the deadline =( Still happy you enjoyed the game, very very nice score!
great overall, particularly good animations! Love the constant danger. One of the best I've played in this LD
Amazing game! I love the in-game mechanics and the whole idea behind the game. The art style is lovely too. Great job!
Really nice game! The art style and mechanics are great. I like how you were able to achieve such a high skill ceiling with only a few basic mechanics (some of the scores on the leaderboard are insane).
Thanks all for the nice feedback!
@pianoman373 What a funny coincidence that you happen to reach and die precisely at 373 :eyes: :eyes:
Amazing graphics. Fun game play loop, and i got a laugh out of some of the text in the How to Play.
sometimes, i forget the mushrooms are evil and try to bounce on it for a big bounce : (
> sometimes, i forget the mushrooms are evil and try to bounce on it for a big bounce : (
Happened to me all the time while developping ^^' Retrospectively, I should have added non-toxic brown mushroom that just yeet you forward, for fun, for speed, and for the risk of falling into a toxic one =D I'll keep that in mind for the DLC :smirk: Still a very nice score @shreemp! Glad you liked it =)
Thanks for submitting your game on the stream!
Here’s the start of your game if you wanted to re-watch initial thoughts youtu.be/_eTFfxJO2YM?t=3678
Charming animations and graphics, sfx fit the style well, good ramping of difficulty! Great entry!
OH MY! This game is sooo fun to play! Even i don't have some feedback about this game! so enjoyable!
If you have some extra update bout this game like mod or contents when this competition is finished, I recommend add some 2P mod in this game! Like tractor guy and turnip farmer! Thanks for made this game! Cheers ;)
Really fun game, like the mixture of mechanics. Great graphics love the mushroom death
Very addictive - well done!
What can I say, this is a really awesome game. I'll be sure to touch on it again. Thanks for getting me hooked! :cat:
Turn up for what! This game is super addictive. I could play it all day if I wanted to. Great job!
Finally got around to playing it, lol. Exhausting! I tried using only the arrow keys first but it hurt my hands :( so then I tried only WASD, which was awkward bc I used my non-dominant hand lol. But then I instinctively started using spacebar to jump and suddenly being my non-dominant hand wasn't a problem anymore lol. Still exhausting though, don't have the stamina for climbing the leaderboards as much as I'd like.
Collisions seem to be smaller than I expect, which is nice for the evil mushrooms but sucks when I land on the corner of a turnip but [ACTION] doesn't work and then I lose a lot of time repositioning.
Very fun though, if it didn't strain my hands so much to play what is essentially a timed precision platformer, I'd play a lot longer :smile_cat:
The links are http and not https, hence my browser won't download. Changing the link to https works.
@icylava can't believe it was that easy! Thanks a lot!
Hey, I played this on Ludum Dare Score Chasers and I believe I got a WR score
You can see the run at 9:21

@icylava really awesome score, very impressive!! Too bad the run ended on a visual glitch, it's a bit anticlimactic ^^ (but it's visual only, the harvesting timer still ticks down)
Really mindblowing to see someone do that well, I'm honored by your dedication
Congratulations to @meep too for the second place, seeing you toe-to-toe using the apple strat made me feel like I managed to balance the various gameplays well enough so that one can choose its preference and still be on an equal footing
Thanks a lot to @Frozendoze, @Aurel300, @Ategon and @kuviman too, loved watching y'all fight on the leaderboard :two_hearts:
And kudos to @pomo for the commentator-ing, made my palms sweaty with the tension and suspense, I was thrilled during the whole event!
