Cool TD. I loved the graphics, but had trouble understanding how to play - a lot of my clicks were unresponsive and I wasn't sure what all the numbers meant. More of a tutorial or help text would be great!

Nice game, only feedback I have is that when one menu of the towers is opened that the others that were open close, to avoid the screen cluttering up. Well done!

Thanks guys, We wanted to add a tutorial but ran out of time. We wrote a short description of the tutorial, but we plan to add a proper one in a new update soon.

cool art style! there didn't seem to be any audio on the web version. the last few waves were incredibly long, and nothing happened when the final wave ended. overall a good entry, could just use some finishing touches.

Fun in the standard TD way, but I rather effortlessly become overpowered by unthinkingly buying things at the start and then it pretty much ran itself.

Thank you for the feedback, guys. Unfortunately, there is no audio and I also agree that some balancing should be done so you don't get overpowered too quickly.

Decent tower defence game, a little easy once you get into it and the was are a very LONG! Art was nice enough, UI could have used a little more polish but all round decent entry!

Game was a little overwhelming at first - the restart bugged the game and needed to refresh the browser also if you do not click start at first you start with lots of plants to harvest :smile:

I am annoyed that my 300k veggies was not in the screen shot

Hi! Saw your post on the main feed.

**If you added the tutorial and bugfixes after the Jam deadline, you should add a separate, clearly-labeled download on your Itch page** so that reviewers can play the original jam version if they want to. You should probably have the browser build be the jam version as well to be safe.

If it's not clear to reviewers that they're playing a post-jam build, it might give your game an unfair advantage over games that went completely hands-off after 72 hours.

Another option, if you want to continue to add updates and changes over the rating period, is to change to the (unranked) Extra category! In that category there are no restrictions on how much you can update your game after the jam deadline.

small but nice successful game. Music is missing is a pity but you have to make sacrifices in the short time. We also have no music :D After I had defeated wave 10 nothing more happened. No Victory screen or so. Too bad for me. During the game I tried to unlock the three missing towers, but obviously they are not implemented or I just didn't figure it out :D nice game and good work.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Anonymous, I agree with you that new features should be in a new build, but a few bug fixes and a tutorial (so people know how to play the game) I think is fine to add, since they're not new features, but they help the player have a better experience.

@keip, @naomiajacobs We wanted to add more tower types, but we realized that we'll run out of time. So, I thought it would be better to leave it like this and make people wonder what those are, until a future build. :smile:

Also the victory screen was a last minute addition so it could have been improved, but in order to get it you have to wait about 10 seconds after the last wave stops.

Very nice and clean tower defense game. Here are my pros and cons! PROS: - I like the simple art style, it avoided visual noise very well. - I like the gameplay mechanic of how killing enemies and growing your farm are directly intertwined, and it kept me on my toes. - I like the animations on the turrets - I thought the UI was nice and simple to follow (however could have been customised more to look visually pleasing)

CONS: - I felt like the game got easy once I had all the turrets in place - After I bought 3 turrets, I couldnt buy the other types which I was confused by.

Overall a great game and I'd love to see it expanded upon, and would also be great with some sound and music :)

Nice game. The 3d assets are great and it is fun to play. Music would've been nice, even if you dont create it, it add so much to a game that you just end up shooting yourself in the foot if you dont add it. Found some problems here and there: camera control on y axis feels inverted, UI dont block raycast to select turrets, you can place multiple turrets on the same spot, you run out of things to do pretty fast.

Great job overall

@pepnou I completely agree about the music, unfortunately we focused more on other aspects. And thanks for finding some bugs.

Nice art style and a fun little tower def game! I like have the two currencies so you can upgrade/build turrets with one while increasing your farm production stats with the other. If you add more features later, you definitely need a pumpkin cannon :)

@chompdev Thanks for the feedback. Originally we wanted to have vegetable-based turrets and yes a pumpkin cannon or catapult was intended. Unfortunately, we had to go simpler in order to finish in time, but I would like to add them in a future update :smile:

Really great art and slick, responsive gameplay. I got pretty OP quite early with maxed out chainguns and then just sort of sat back - I'm not sure if I did something wrong but the last 3 weapons never enabled for me, they just had "???" next to the coin sign and nothing happened when I clicked on them despite having about 6k coins. Anyway, a few balancing tweaks aside, I thought this was a fun, accomplished entry!

It's been a while since I played a tower defense and I really enjoyed playing yours, it is really cool and very complete, saddly it was a bit laggy on web when there was lot of enemy (and don't have a windows right here) but doesn't stop me to reach the end ;)

in the end, it turned out to be a bit too unbalanced/easy, but it was a cool approach to farming as well as extending the idea of tower defense :wink:

Tower Defense games are tricky to do for a game jam because the meat of the game comes from a delicate balance of mechanics, which takes time to get right. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to TD so I just placed the first kind of turret and upgraded them fully - never lost a life, which is great for me, but perhaps leaves something to be desired for fans of the genre. Ideally, the different types of turrets should synergize with eachother. Sounds can become noisy in a TD so it's a fair thing to skip, but some music (even if not hand-made) would've really lifted this game up in my opinion. I liked the aesthetic!

Great art and fun game! Were there supposed to be unlocks after the first 3? Also, I think the UI could be simplified. You could just show the stats when you hover over each weapon and then have upgrade and sell buttons only visible in the corners while hovered. Lots of fun and I liked how the harvest theme was integrated.
