Good game ! I realised your proposition on the theme when I started to spam click and failed a lot of my bullet (really clever by the way)
Like the style you choose. The character select is cool and the void is a good mechanic ( great minds think alike ).
Nice game. I liked the intro and the concept as well. The music during the level was a bit too much for me but I liked the intro music and the style of it. I will play that again!
This is a great example of a simple game being executed to perfection. Everything is super tight and juicy. Feels amazing to play.

This is a great idea for a game and great interpretation of the them! I love the graphics style and the gameplay gets hectic very quickly. Sounds and music are great too. Very good game overall, well done!

Great concept, requires careful bullet management. Well done! Variable enemy health could add depth, and maybe make the play space scaling a bit less punishing.
Really cool! I loved the blackness of the voyd closing in, it was a very striking visual. The ramp up in difficulty was fun, it got very hectic after a while :laughing: I really liked the music and sound design, the Voydlings sounded very unique and cool.

Very fun, and cool mechanic of punishing poor aim. Gets real hectic later on and makes you want to blast wildly... (this quickly led to my death). The visual effects are impressive - simple art that works well, very consistent, and the sound effects are pretty cool. Also pretty neat that there's 2 different characters to choose from. Solid game.
Wow that is a steep difficult curve. I suggest the starting wave to come in much slower to get accustomed to the shooting. I like the shrinking of space and the effects. well done.

The idea is reaally good and fit perfect with the theme !! Only things I can tell is that control was for QWERTY keyboard sinche Im azerty it trouble me at first but nothing bad ! Also maybe ennemy should be a bitter larger at the beginning but I said that only for feedbacking stuff lol

Nice use of the theme, I loved the creepy music and sound effects!
One of my fav uses of the theme, I liked the art, and the music was decent. I actually didn't mind the difficulty curve, and found myself waiting for the enemies to do something. Better enemy variation could've made it a little more interesting, but I understand that's difficult with time restrictions.

Great game, the difficulty really increases quickly, possible too quickly, but that doesn't hurt the fun :)
I definitely need more practice to get better at this, but overall pretty fun. Making the walls close in on you when you shoot at it is a fantastic way to make every shot count.

Brilliant idea that works perfectly for a compo game. Really great execution too!
Though it seemed to me that hitboxes did not quite fit the small enemy sprites? And I swear one of my shots went directly through one of the enemies (discrete collision detection, perhaps?).
Really like the music and the graphics, the green witch is super cute and ofc I chose her, it's so cool how you even made two characters to chose from! Honestly so impressive for 48 hours. The atmosphere of the game overall is dynamic, I like how it all feels... in movement. Like even the title screen. And the field shrinking was an interesting take on the theme; it made every time I miss more crucial, because it seemed to me like the field shrinks with every shot fired, so I had to try and hit the enemies more carefully w/o wasting any spell balls. My score wasn't really high, but I enjoyed the game ^^
This is serious fun!! It's fairly simple, but pretty satisfying. And I liked how you tied the area size to penalties for getting hit or missing. That really puts a lot of agency in the player's hands. And you made it challenging enough that standing still to maximize your accuracy wasn't really an option.

Overall, really well done! One thing you could add next is a way to push the void back some, as a reward!
And for a _compo_ game, this feels really well polished!
Very simple yet satisfying concept. I really enjoyed the bullethell ! It's amazingly clever to make the playfield shrink when you miss the enemy. All came together nicely, very crisp and clean. Well done ! Thank you for submitting this game to the stream :D

Great stuff! I think this is the best execution of the tiny/shrinking-area shooter that I've seen. Gamefeel is good, difficulty scales nicely, audio is pretty great for a compo game. Very slick entry all around, well done!!
Simple but effective! Every missed shot felt worse than letting a creature touch you! I thought the defensive aura would allow you to push walls outwards, but nope... I lasted 63 seconds. Nice game!
I love a lot of things about this game!
The wall shrinking mechanic is very well tied to the core shooting gameplay, the execution is impressive for a compo game with a lot of details that enhance game feel here and there.

i think the difficulty curve could use some tweaking, but i could also just be bad at the game idk

AMAZING entry! Solid game. Smooth mechanics and controls. I was hooked and didn't want to stop playing. Hitting 10k, and felt pretty good about it. Theeeen saw the highscore of 50k. How in the world? Well done, Loved it!

@nestral you're right, i could have been more permissive with bullets and enemies hitboxes. I have tweaked them a bit during jam, but not enough apparently. I got one or two missing hits too, but fortunately, it doesn't appear to be often…
@olddog have you tried reloading the page? it usually fixes this. If it doesn't work, try downloading the executable version and it should be ok!
I liked a lot of things about this game. The closing in of the edges is a great mechanic, thought I swear I saw the wall close in twice when I only hit it once a couple of times. The shooting enemy was a great addition, stopped me just sitting in the middle of the arena the whole time. I liked the little story and choice of characters. The constantly shifting graphics and screen shake together felt like a bit much, good thing you have an option to turn off the screen shake.

Wow this is really good!! It's a clever take on the theme and the graphics are really cute. I like the music a lot as well.
The screen shake did feel like a bit much but I appreciate the option to turn it off.
