A swashbuckling good time! Might be too easy to win though.

Interesting concept, but I agree with Tadas, I seemed to be doing most things wrong and still won.
Good Job on submitting!
Fun game. Took a min to get the hang of how to use the dice properly. Would like to see a longer version with more events and a longer duration per session.
Nice concept. I won by just matching up my dice to the "regular" activities and then they never went away? It might be better to have those not stick around forever. Unless there was something I was missing. I will say it definitely drew me in and wanted me to play more, though.
Interesting idea, I kinda want to know where it would go. Sadly I don't see the theme really.
Once thing that definitely help understand what is happening is the shell with the logs, I wouldn't have thought to include it.
The art is a plus !
Well the best parts of this game were the storytelling--loved the events--and the fun, catchy music. The graphics were great, but the design of the game led my eyes to look at pop ups and text, so I didn't really spend time looking at the people. The dice slots reminded me of a basic rendition of a "chit-pull system" game mechanic, which is cool since I rarely ever see that in video games.
The idea looks really nice, but it seems that the player has barely anything to do here - the outcome is mostly determined by whether or not one has the required dice. In the first playthrough I was losing morale no matter what, in the second one I got lucky with the dice & won. It's really unclear what various ship actions do (why would I clean it, is it dirty and that lowers morale? or does cleaning lower morale? what does "search" mean? etc). I'd say it's a nice idea but it needs much more actions on the player side. There's probably a bug: after losing the first time, the next day's event appeared right on top the defeat message (see the first screenshot).

Fun concept, pleasing visuals and a fun game to play. It was a little confusing as to what actions affected morale, and I seemed to have more success using the dice exclusively on the random events. Managed to get my crew back safely so I'm happy :)
Great concept, would like to see a more fleshed out version of this, with a little more strategy involved.
I really liked the game, inovative!
@tadas-migauskas @tylerstraub Try again in the bugfix update :) With ship actions working, it's a bit harder now.
@aflatthrasher Yes, that is a bug that is fixed in the update if you interested in trying again.
@garazbolg2 We were trying to fit the theme always trying to postpone the moment the crew overtakes your place. And the delay would via actions you take, some straightforward, some maybe more underhanded.
@lisyarus The new update fixed some action allowing to regain morale by choice and giving more control over your dice. Marker other actions with "[Not implemented]" to avoid confusion. Also thank you for posting the bug, it's fixed now.
@mistagiggles Thank you for feedback. We are working on adding highlights and explanations.
@aflatthrasher @garazbolg2 @thekimeo @mrevilguy @lisyarus @boxedmeatrevolution We are also working on post-jam update, that brings in the planned functionality (more actions, events and variations, more resources to manage) we did manage to fit in ludum dare time frame.
@phillip-scott @hackergreg Thank you for trying our game!
I, like many others, caught mistakes that were made. Do I want to try to play the corrected version - no, because the whole point of jam games is to do it on time .. it's somehow not right for other developers.
The game is good, but fix the bugs after the jam))
@yusovv I totally agree with you. That's why there are both versions of the game: the initial upload and the bugfixed version with a clear changelist of what was changed in the update. Just as it is allowed and required by ludum dare rules.
You are free to play original submission OR the updated version OR both and see what actually changed and how.
Very Nice!
We thought about ship too. Congrats!
Really like the concept. Animation, graphics and audio are really good. Really nice game.
Hi! Love this type of games! The only thing is : can we fail loose ? I haven't well managed the ship the first times and even with that I didn't had mutineer. I would love to see a totaly finished game like this!
Nice game! I really liked the art and the variety of events.
Arr' matey! FTL Pirates on the open seas!? Love the strategic survival. Lots to expand on here for a jam - nice work! Icon design was really simple and straightforward. Little more attention in UI presentation, font, and font size might have "dressed" it up a bit but no complaints overall really solid entry
@psytron Yeah, we had the font ready at the last minutes, but after adding and seeing it in-game, we noticed it reduced readability and decided to keep the default, but readable one
Will try to developer a bit further when we get a chance. Will post the update at a later time, so keep an eye on us
I think I.. won? :D

A fun entry! Reminded me of FTL, which I love.
I liked the mechanic to roll dices, definitely has potential, is a bit confusing at first (but that is standard for any sort of remotely complex mechanic introduced in a gamejam game, really ^^)
I played the bugfix version btw :)
Music was fun and fit the topic!
I feel like the luck could be a bit better with rolling the dice, normaly I'm a lucky gal in Witcher for example ;P
A fun game! Would definitely like to see this polished for a postjam version :) Good job guys!
@angiemon Thanks for kind words. It's true, that currently it's not that hard to win.
Will try to make an update sometime soon with more balance change and will ping you then. Also thank you for pointing out which version you played.
This is an excellent idea! I am a fan of "dice placement" games like this.
It would have been nice if the systems were more complete. As it is, it feels like the player doesn't have a lot of decisions to make. And not knowing what the scenario's dice requirement will be, it feels like random luck. After a few turns I kind of went into auto-pilot, attempting every scenario and not really looking at my dice, and I managed to win.
But initially, it was very engaging. Lots of potential here!
