hah funy game :) great job
This game is soo cool. It only makes me sad that my computer cannot handle it.
Loved the chaos and good AI drivers. It might be worth it to turn down the amount of other cars just for the sake of performance.
Nice game. Unfortunately a few too many polys for my machine. I really like the feel. I think you nailed the sliding physics.
The download version ran great, but the web gl version drops a ton of frames due to the amount of cars on screen. That being said, this game was a ton of fun and worth actually downloading. The particle effects, the physics, and the lighting were all excellent. Acceleration was tough to get a grip on, but it was eventually controllable. It was fun enough to try to learn how the acceleration work, and I really enjoyed smashing other cars. Thanks for the submission!
Very fun game. Kind of wish you had a windows build as I think my browser was struggling. Absolutely loved the graphics! Regardless, awesome game!
I would alert that the game in webgl has pretty bad framerate, but the downloaded version works fine! Good game!
I was playing on Microsoft Edge and the game was lagging really bad. What's the biggest cause of that in this game? Doesn't look like there's a lot going on that could kill the CPU aside from the fact that other cars are probably AI or some sort.
Otherwise this game seems pretty neat. Finished a couple of races but get to experience killing someone unfortunately. Really cool idea to place statistics inside the billboards though it took a while to realize they were there.
I love the concept of absolute motorsport carnage! Reminds me of the old arcade racing games. Keep up the good work!
Windows Build Available Via Itch @mike-baldwin Thanks!
Light bakes went a little crazy for the WebGL version already have a patch ready to go for the browser version with massive performance gains @vilmantas
Light bakes went a little crazy for the WebGL version already have a patch ready to go for the browser version with massive performance gains @roughskin
The second track is really challenging. great work!
@golin Thanks!
this is so polished! very fun and very impressive game, well done!
has the feeling of a classic racing game like cruising USA or something, its fun and quirky and fun to play for a bit
Lots of fun! The graphics are super polished and the driving is really easy to get used to. Loved drifting around. My only complaint is that I'm not sure how this relates to the theme.
Great work!
@cad its not explained but if you are in the last position each lap you will die - so the race will always end you
Tried the web version of the game, it didn't work well, it was laggy on my machine, but the Windows version worked fine.
- The game graphics were very good - The physics of the game could be improved, every time I drive on a ramp, the car flips over - Controls could be better, I struggled a lot every time I wanted to turn, if you give the player more control the fun of the game will definitely improve - It was cool to see the other cars on fire, - More information about car condition would be greatly appreciated, everytime I was wondering if my car would explode or not - Aside from that, really cool game
Really cool joke about the name of the game btw.
@golin Thank you!
@edwingamedev the ramp issue is from holding 'W' in the air - which adds pitch for air time controls. yea we wanted to add body damage, but didn't have the time :)
We also struggled with the controls
Nicely done! I had slight performance issues in the browser, but it was fun anyways. I like the style. What I was missing most was some health bar. I realized pretty late that my car keeps loosing parts.
@nikl yea, trying to no have HUDs in most of the games I make - more as a limitation and to allow less clutter, so the car loosing parts is your health bar so to speak :)
Yea browser performance with this amount of Physics is probably never going to be great - the non web version is much better, but still work could be done I think.
Thanks for Playing :)
Not a bad entry. I get motion sick so this didn't work well for me but I didn't count off for that in my voting. Nice entry.
Really fun game. Controls are a bit off for me but they add to the chaos which I liked. Great work.
Yeah destruction derby game like I played a lot on Playstation 1
@simplepotential ah sorry about that! Thanks for Playing
I really had a lot of fun with this one. Great concept and great execution. Got spun around a couple times and had a hard time getting back on track, but this was really awesome.
unbelievable work! but literally. is this really a jam game? the theme doesn't seem to fit, and you didn't opt-out of graphics voting but there's too much content to make in a weekend.
really impressive jam entry
Like others have said, this game is really cool! I like the graphics and smashing into the other cars was quite fun. I did find the car was a bit too hard to control (although maybe that was the idea). Great job for making this in only 72hrs!
@farzher all assets were made by myself this weekend (got about 15 hours of sleep :)) the theme is a little bit of a stretch as you die if you do not win the race.
Thanks for the compliment on our content and thanks For playing
@james-7777 yea the controls are a little hard to get used to, should have spent more time on them and cut something - but not sure what we would have cut
@farzher Yeah we kinda just wanted to make a racing game and try to make it fit the theme. If only Teleportation came up!
Pretty impressive amount of 3d assets in this game. I think the number of particle effects (and transparency) negatively impacts the framerate on the WebGL build fyi.
Cool game, found out I am not a good driver :D Ended up driving against traffic more times than I would like to admit :D I like how the cars fall apart piece by piece :D
@larsdu the main culprit is the wheel colliders and our dynamic suspension code. but it was our first time messing with it so super happy.
The main particle effect that causes any perf hit its the fire effect with lights - but it was cool :D
Really liked this game. It's a fun game. I like how the cars get visibly more damaged. The controls work well. The graphics are good, but when going under the tunnel, sometimes the game has trouble figuring out what to cull. The framerate on the WebGL version isn't that good. Nice game!
I had a little trouble getting started at first but I had a lot of fun playing it, the environments are great. Nice work !
@lako yea Webgl doesn't like our wheel colliders :D the tunnel issue I completely forget to fix (camera clips into the mesh and culls everything!)
Great game ! Love the particle systems, they give so much oompf to the gameplay. Satisfaction when you see another car explode ! Well done :)
@javasaurus Glad you liked it, thanks for playing. =)
Jeez this was fun! This game is exactly in my wheelhouse -- racing and destruction. This is currently my favorite game of the jam. Destruction derby meets crazy racing
The car physics were great I think. I could turn my car well and it was easy to backup if I hit a fence or the side of the road. I've made car games in the past and I know the fine tuning on car movement can be tough. Great work.
The number of AI cars was awesome! I loved going up against so many cars.
Let's talk about the particles, lighting and graphics. All of those were superb and when I saw a car explode I said "Damn!" to myself out loud haha.
My two small critiques were the camera was a little tight on the car and its movement felt kinda sharp. I also didn't realize what lap I was on until lap 4 when I saw the counter. I guess that's more like real life so no problem.
Loved this game. Keep up the good work!
@russ-moonbase thank you for such kind words!
Best result

At first I had troubles with controlling the car. Tiny cute racing game with quite interesting mechanics. Good entry!
Great fun game, Love the art and the can physics are great.
Looking really nice, and plays well. I liked the death race. Really impressive amount of content and work for a game jam this short. Good job!
I like it. Reminds me of old arcade racing games)
@diccuric-sigeon Them's rookie numbers.
Pretty cool game, well done! I quite like the controls, but because of the lack of UI I wasn't sure what I was trying to do at first until I saw the billboard in the game.
I dont know how you managed to pull it off, but awesome entry.
@xparker Caffeine fueled panic and not a whole lot of sleep. Glad you liked it!
@craig-aspell :coffee: Good choice :thumbsup:
Fun game! The driving mechanics function well and it was satisfying to get ahead of other racers. The beginning was initially chaotic as I was less driving and more getting pushed around, but as vehicles distanced a little bit was when it really shined. One of my favorite bits of this jam will likely always be the moment I watched a car take a ramp and blow up on the other side, take the ramp myself and start going into a nosedive, only to bounce off the top of the car and flip all the way around to land back on my wheels. God, I wish I was recording so I could put a GIF. The graphics are really appealing, and the 3D particle effects add a lot to the exploding of cars. The music was a little repetitive, but it did fit the mood, and the rest of the audio was great.
Overall, great job!
@proxy-games sounds like that was a good race! glad you enjoyed
Impressive game, especially with the AI drivers. I liked that you got different starting positions and the camera transitions. I did miss having a HUD for laps and damage taken but I guess it was mostly a design choice.
@gettingrekt yea most of the time we like to remove as much HUD as possible and only add something on top of the game if it is really needed - so in this case your health is the level of damage your car has taken and times, positions and laps are shown on screens around the track
Thanks for your feed back and thank you for playing!
You nailed the low poly aesthetics. Having done a driving game myself before I know it's not easy to making the driving feel right, but you did a good job. Racing with a lot of cars was definitely a good choice. A lot of action and mayhem. Great job!
@bauke-regnerus AH thanks! I have only been 3D modelling since the start of the year so I appreciate that loads!
Thanks of playing and your kind feedback
Dang, Either I'm lucky, or there's simply a lot of high quality submissions this time. - This definitely made my top 3, so far. I'm impressed how much you got done- Even when I entered the menu, and saw there were two game modes I was impressed. The gameplay did not dissapoint. Controls felt great, sound effects were quite good, and I was just soo surprised how many details you managed to get in. Lights being smashed, smoke, skitmarks, destroyed cars - Really awesome. The only thing I was missing, was some kind of indicator of how screwed I was (Meaning how damage is my car)- Whether that should be UI, visuals, or a sound effect, I don't really care, but anything would be great- But this is a minor detail, compared to all the stuff you already got in. All in all I loved the look and feel of the game - So very well done!
Thanks a lot for sharing your game, I throughly enjoyed it (And grabbed a download for later use :-) )
The low poly style feels good. Fun to crash other cars and jump in the air. The movement of the car feels a little bit itchy tough and hard to control.
@mekuri your health is the damaged state of your car (your roof falling off is a bad sign :)) thanks for playing!
@asukanami yea the movement could be improved! it was our first go at car physics, turns out its hard to get the right feel :)
Thanks for playing and your feedback!
The graphics in this game is outstanding! I can't understand how you managed to get so many good looking assets so quickly! The game itself was fun as well and overall it was a great experience!
@korfi Thank you so much for the kind words! I only started 3D modelling at the start of the year so that means a lot!
Glad you enjoyed your self and Thank you for playing!
@phillip-scott Oh I totally missed that. I'm fairly sure I didn't lose my roof, until I died though ('Died' four times so far), but I'll experience it soon enough I guess :-)
I hate making driving games, everything is so much harder to do that it looks like, so good job completing it during a jam. Length of the game/difficulty are well balanced and the art style fits the game. Congrats !
That's a really fun game and in addition to what all the others have already said, I have to commend you on the menu. That looks really clean and polished for a jam game! Well done!
@yorsh yea I was completely surprised on driving mechanics and feel being so difficult - Thanks for feed back and for playing!
@stefan-laimer Thank you, The UI is always something that I like to figure out so I am glad you liked it - Thanks for playing!
I must say I am impressed! Controls are good, physics are good (and I guess it can be a pain in the a** for this kind of games to make), the AI was really good (will you make a post about how you did it ? I would love to see that!) and there were some very nice details to discover, such as th dynamic destruction of the car! Well done!
@jojopalambas A post about our AI drivers was not something I had considered, but I will talk to the team about it as I think it is a good idea! It was mainly @autogibbon that developed it (I only helped out with design and a little code)
Thanks for the feedback and for playing our game!
@jojopalambas the AI is dumb as rocks. Once you see how it works the illusion is shattered forever 😂
Very good game. Well done but contorls are kinda hard
For sure @stin, controls is one the things we're gonna refine in our postjam version.
Hi! It's awesome to see a lot of racing games on that LD!
At first, I tried the web version of the game. It loaded, but I couldn't control the car. The browser is Chrome 99. So, I tried the Windows version, and it worked well!
To be honest, the physics of the game should be improved. Now, it's hard to control the car :red_car: Plus, AI is a bit stupid. Yes, it is fun to play, but at the same time, the gameplay becomes boring quickly because of the AI.
Overall, you made a great game!
Cool game, I like the driving and the gameplay is fun!
@thegamerasd thanks for playing!
@glitchman I agree with your points we are going to improve things in a post jam version - was our first go at car physics and driving AI and we learned a bunch (mainly of what not to do :D)
Nice game! Well done!
@tulio Thanks for playing!
Damn! So stylish. Love the sounds/music and graphic design. The controls were a bit floaty at times, but racing easily feels that way. This was a lot fun!
@raphiell Thanks! glad you enjoyed it!
Wow... this killed performance on my laptop... Impressed with the features you accomplished... Only issue I had was (aside from performance) the controls ... They seemed inconsistent ... but might be because of lag.
Good job anyways
@purpledartfrog yea the physics is a bit of a hog, it worked on our machines but couldn't really test it on anything else.
If you have the time there is a windows build that does not have the same browser issues that you could try.
Thanks for playing!
Lagged a bit on the webgl version but the download one was flawless, good job, much fun! :)
@squaxcom Thanks for playing - yea the wheel and suspension physics need some work on the webgl version
This is pretty great, AI and driving experience is well done. Reminded me a bit of the Flatout games. Some lagspikes in webGL but overall played fine.
@merdeboi Thanks for playing! yea think we were pushing what webgl could do a little too far :D
This was cool! Like Daytona, but more violent. I liked how many cars were on the track, really felt chaotic and fun.
I exploded a car!
Fun game, I found the controls didn't mesh with what I expected and was often spinning or drifting when I wanted a small turn and not going anywhere when I wanted to turn quickly.
Really well done on the environment and the AI. I like the smoke from the tires and the rubber on the road. Good effects.
@eldogg thanks for playing! glad you enjoyed it :)
@xeke-death Thanks for playing! yea the controls and handling are on our improvement list for post jam!
Excellent racing game! I had a lot of fun.
The art is great (love when the cars explodes), the audio is good but could be a lot better.
Thing to improve / add: A life bar to know how agressive can one be, a music more intense like Destruction Derby https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_LbbMNMzqU, and sounds of crashing / exploding definitely will give a lot of juce.
Contratulations, it´s a great entry. Looking foward to this game.
@the-fazzo Thanks for playing! your life bar is how damaged your car is - but we will make that more apparent in a future update
I'm usually terrible with racing games but I enjoyed this one, with all the mayhem and violence and everything. All the physics seems great!
@hungryroy Thanks for playing!
Took me quite some time to get familiar with the controls, but then I've had quite some fun! I think there's still room for improvement controls-wise though. Otherwise, fun game, congratulations!
@mortus Stay tuned for the postjam version. We've got so many ideas thanks to everyone's feedback, and seeing people play it on twitch.
I suck at driving games. So I tried to be clever. It said to smash into cars to heal yourself, so... I went in the other direction. My car is on fire. And I'm flipped over a divide. I feel lied to.
In all seriousness, though, it was fun. The physics were really good, if finicky, but I can't imagine trying to make something as precise as a driving game in a game jam. Well done. :D
@otterfaelure hah that sounds amazing! You need to kill other cars to get health. So I blame marketing @autogibbon.
Thanks for playing, glad you had fun!
Really loved the game! I love the fact that you included AI for other players. I got stuck out of the map and couldn't come back...
Overall, I really love the concept. Great entry!
Great entry, only problem is drift mechanics, they don't have to be realistic but they didn't feel consistent, or easy to control. Other than that, this game is finished. I suggest publishing.
In Soviet Ludum Dare Entry, Race End U.
Great job guys! 🤘
@mathglo aw sorry you got stuck. Put so much effort into getting cars to flip or get out of being stuck on geometry, we didn't get to detecting being out of the playable area. Glad you liked it anyway.
@mathglo yea there are a bunch of problems with the maps that we have found since the jam! :D All going to be fixed and new tracks added.
@cslupius yes the controls and car handling is one of the first things we are going to iterate on/fix/polish, ran out of time :)
@coggoid Thanks! If you win you might get a different message ;)
Thank you all for playing and your great feedback
Yes @cslupius driving controls/physics it turns out was really difficult to approach to feeling right. I think we got something passable within the jam time, but I'm keen to revisit this and get closer to the arcadey style we originally imagined. Appreciate the feedback!
I mean, only if you're bad @coggoid ;)
The gameplay in this game is so chaotic - I love it :D. Beside that, the graphic design is very nice and the driving mechanic is enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to the further development of this game. Well done ;)
@seniorwombat Thank you for you amazing Feedback! We are really looking forward to continuing development on this too!
Thanks for playing :)
Really great game! Lots of fun! I'm pretty bad at it though lol.
@starr-fighter05 Thanks for Playing! the controls take a little while to get used to - glad you had fun though!
Fun game love a good racing game with bumper-cars action! The webGL version ran great, didn't drop any frames. Controls aren't far off from being where they need to be. Just some slight adjustments to the car movement and camera movement will go really far for this. Hope you continue with it!
@busy-games Thanks! yea the car and camera movement is the first thing we are going to update. we are definitely going to continue with it :)
Thanks for your great feedback and for playing!
Speechless and Speechless and Speechless :no_mouth: Good One
This is veryyyyyyy good, awesome job guys!
@alight @conroy thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed 😉 thank you for the kind words!
Seeing the cars crashing and stacking onto each other during a race is a sight to behold lol. Love the explosion effects as well. Love the sound effects as well, the cars crashing into each other sounded like plastic toy cars lol. The handling is fine though I don't really like that the car can also rotate vertically in the air. I get that it's physics based, though this seems very unnecessary. I also didn't really like that there isn't too much of an indicator for whether cars took damage or not. I ended up dying once right after jumping off a ramp. The only reason I knew that I died because of it was because another car had blown up a little before it by jumping off a ramp. Still, the game looks good and is fun during the lap race.
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!
If you’d like to rewatch the playthrough, you can find it here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1450143040?t=3h18m02s
Good luck on your ratings, see you next LD! :D

Good idea, but the car is too tail happy to enjoy it.
One of the best racing games so far.
@badpiggy yes the feedback needs turned up a whole bunch especially when taking damage.
Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you for playing!
@sentmoraap yea the fame is meant to be arcadey and drifting should be easy and fun.
But we are aware that there is a chasm to cross to get the game feeling how we want it too. We were just unaware of how much tweaking would be required!
Thanks for your feedback and thank you for playing!
@aniki-ta Thank you for playing and your kind words, means alot to us :)
Wow this is an amazing amount of work and polish for something made in 72 hours! This was genuinely fun and almost felt like a complete game. Watching cars ram into each other and explode was awesome (especially when it happened in the air)
The only issue I have with the game is the car physics. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's like the car oversteers way too easily and the tires have too much grip, but also not enough grip? It's easy to oversteer when trying to make a turn even without getting hit, and when you do the car comes to stop too quickly which makes it unsatisfying to drive if you're trying to actually win the race. I got away from the smoldering carcasses of the other racers and was just driving down the track alone and I would constantly spin out and slide into walls just trying to drive normally. So if you continue to work on the game, try to get some outside play testers to give some feedback on the driving.
Had lots of fun playing this. Had a bit of an issue with the controls, but that could have been an issue with how I was playing it. The only thing I'd recommend adding that I didn't see in there is some rubber banding on the death race mode AI. Smashing into stuff is the fun part of that mode and hunting down the other cars is kind of boring. Best part of my play though was getting my car to balance on it's front after a jump.
@skleembof thank you for your detailed feedback, yes those issues that you have highlighted are on our list already and are something that we are going to be working hard on over the next few weeks to get correct.
We are also aware that once you get away from the craziness that the game can become boring. Which is a result of a bunch of things that we are working to fix currently.
Thank you for playing and and glad you enjoyed our game
@unpronounceable Thanks for your feedback, as yiu have probably read we are working on the controls and steering in general.
The rubberbanding is is our list already, it is caused by the max speed check and the cars alternating between acceleration and none.
We have tweaked death race game mode in or latest update, but the track needs to be redesigned as its probably too big for the game.
Glad you had fun and thanks for playing!
i really enjoyed seeing all the burnt out cars on the track, even just the illuminated smoke particles off in the distance really added to this racing game. i think you should try and optimize the particles and stuff so the race track gets completely covered over the course of a race. it creates this dynamic feel to each lap, where usually in racing games you're just doing the same thing each lap
@radmccool thanks for the suggestion! I will add it to the list as thats a great idea and potential USP.
Glad you had some fun!
Thanks for playing :)
Really fun game! I loved the chaos, and the idea of fighting each other as you're drifting around in the arena is really fun and really cool. Graphics were also really nice, love the low poly artstyle! It was suuuper cool so see your car fall apart, which I didn't realise was happening until the glass began to break! Really cool!
As for some criticism (if you want to, can also skip this), I think the controls could be improved! If course creating controls for a racing game, especially such a cool racing game with mechanics like these, is really hard. I could definitely see myself spending money on buying this type of game for split-screen with my friends!
If you have the opportunity, please do develop this into a fully-fledged game because it has REAL potential! :D
@maxkyckling oh wow such great feedback! Really kind! Splitscreen was something I was tossing around in my head for a future update. Want to get the rest of it feeling good with better controls and more tracks and cars etc.
Thanks again for your amazing feedback and thanks for playing!
@maxkyckling splitscreen is such a good idea. I've been in my little cave all weekend attacking two core features, driving and AI, to make them just better. Look out for updates 😉
Enjoyed this a lot! Very nice core driving feel. I do think it feels hard to damage anyone without hurting yourself just as much, I went on the hunt for others and kept blowing up, but that could just be me.
@fromage thanks for the feedback, currently the faster car takes no damage.
Thanks for playing
nice entry! i like the car movement, feels good, good low poly art, maybe needs more fly in the ramps, nice work!
@dreamerflow Thanks for your feedback! More air would be pretty cool!
Thanks for playing
@fromage I like seeing different people's opinion on the driving feel. Some like it, some really don't. I still feel it's not exactly what we want for this project, but it was what we managed to produce within the jam time constraints. Anyway thanks for playing and rating <3
Destruction Derby with drift? shut up and take my money!!
Well done for a jam game! Actual drifting mechanic, two maps, and it's a derby game with destruction. It's a complete game, just in a smaller package. I had to turn off sound effects to hear the music, because I saw a setting there but couldn't actually hear any music among the effects but there was a soundtrack! It wasn't the most fitting in my opinion but something is better than nothing. The sound effects really made the audio category work.
I wouldn't say it was innovative in any major way compared to other derby racing games but it was feature-complete without any noticeable bugs and done in under 72 hours, which is an impressive feat in and of itself.
@wolfpredator I can put a donate button on the itch page if you want
( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
@amastryukov You are too kind. Totally gonna push everything further into arcade territory and make it funny fun not serious fun.
Great game. Had some fun in both tracks. While I understand a choice have minimal to no HUD, adding some UI to show your place in the race (with total of cars remaining) would really help to keep the intense feeling of destructive racing. I noticed there there text saying my place in the race in info boards, but never manager to actually read it, as I was focusing on driving and smashing other cars. Maybe instead of two numbers in fixed place have a line of scrolling "news" text e.g.: `"Purple rager" has hit "Green wacky"; "Green wacky" is forced to retire from the race` or `"Red rusher" has hit the track at a bad angle. We can see the driver rushing away from the exploding car`.
Another nice (not critical) UI addition would be a top-down minimal view of the race track and all the racers in it. That way it would be easy to see how much ahead / behind are you.
Other than that really nice game. Actually I am interested how did you set up your AI? Are there some pre-recorded paths randomly assigned to each car? Did you do some training? Is the car crashing design decision, because you didn't want to do flock avoidance logic :) ?
@bloodycoin a news tickers is a great idea and one that would fit with the minimal UI. Something I had not even considered!
Topdown race view might be shown via more screens that give better updates etc
AI use a way point system that's is then "fuzzed" with some random numbers, AI racers are also given a random steering and speed values. All of these things help sell each racers personality
We will be developing this further with better AI in the coming months. But for the jam I think the ffevt is quite convincing.
@bloodycoin dude I love the text driven commentator idea!
The AI is driven by way points and drive their cars with the same inputs as the player (accel, steering, braking). They just do it in a very simple way, the effect of which you can see at the start of every race where they all slam into the middle of the road because that's where their next way point is. We're going to iterate on that simple design and make it more believable, and hopefully make them into competent racers in the process.
Thanks for the feedback and the cool ideas!
Great job with the game, love the feel of driving and definitely the main draw of the game. Love the incorporation of the theme and the destruction left in the wake as you stay alive definitely adds to what the game is meant for.
I don't know why but the game was very laggy. I removed the full screen and it was a little better. After a few laps I could notice that there was the progressive destruction of the vehicle, that impressed me. Special mention for the sound design which is very well done. Excellent entry!
It was hard but fun!
When I was in second place I caught a error in html5 version :(
photo_2022-04-15_20-53-13.jpg
Good physics and playable race, loved the style. Yet it's quite hard to know when your car's going to melt. Overall enjoyed this retro driving!
@blooalain @rbn @ben-yazi @ardorugus Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the crash no idea what that might be :(
Great entry! I always love a good racing game! The driving felt nice and the AI was pretty good (if not a little slow. Once you get out of the pack it becomes quite easy.) I think it would benefit a lot to have a damage indicator and maybe a speed indicator to know how fast you're going and how much damage it'll do. Too much info for the player can be overwhelming but not enough can be confusing. Overall I had a good time with it!
@rhoka Thanks for your feedback :) we are in the midst of adding adding more UI to the game.
Thanks for playing
Fun game!
Wow a full 3D game I do love that! A small bug I found is the cars and track disappearing if you are in a tunnel, I guess this is a bug with the back-face or occlusion culling, maybe the camera needs to go lower inside tunnels.
As for game design, it was quite fun, although it isn't quite clear when you are hurting someone vs being hurt. Also the Death Race can be cheated by just staying off-road the whole game and swooping in for the final kill at the end, it makes more sense if this was a proper pit as in a demolition derby.
I also thought the "U END RACE" and "RACE END U" wordplays were amusing.
This was fun! I'm twofold on the steering, on the one hand it felt a bit off, but on the other it felt really nice when you entered a smooth drift around a corner... Maybe the rotation point of the car was somewhere behind the 'center' of it? Or it maybe there are just be rigidbody-forces playing ;) I tried to take a shortcut by just turning right and skip the big just on the lap-map, but it didn't count the lap so I guess you have some checkpoints? The drift-sound also definitely added to the experience!
@logflames yea we are working on the steering currently, there are rigidbodies playing around with things yeh!. and yea there are checkpoints (big gates that you drive through, but we will be making these much betting in the coming updates!
@xjcl Yea that's occlusion culling, we have lowered the camera already for the next version and are changing the tunnels. Yeah the damage is being worked on to better show that (and look better). The death race is also being changed into a new mode. There is a temporary change in our version 1.1 that fixes the wait till the end "cheating" :)
Thanks for playing :)
