Top audio. smooth and charming. I manged to set off the avalanche without actually starting it and was able to go down hill without any obstacles. I dont know how I did it, so the secret will live on.
More fun than I expected! I really enjoyed the fact that the game is multiplayer and the character customization, I could see myself playing this with my friends!
What can I say... This is really impressive. You've made a MMO in 2 days that feels smooth and is fun to play! I really liked skiing with others that came online. Also really like the sound effects :-)

The visual are cute and charming, love it. The controls were nice and responsive and I liked the different costumes you could wear. The fact that you made it online is doubly impressive! Great work!
Loved it, controls are fun, great to play against others, art is simple but funny, music is catchy but not super on theme if i'm honest. maybe some items on the map would be interesting, speed boost, shield, weapon etc. Great job adding multiplayer!
First I was like "Ok, traditional skiing game, nice, and good physics, good", then I played, one two, three games, and then I saw a guy playing with me, I look around and see "MMO downhill racing game". AMAZING!
It totally changed my view on this game, it was so much more fun seeing other people emoting and racing with the others. Just cool as hell! Special kudos for pulling up something as cool as online multiplayer on LD jam :)
Only one tip: It would be cool to have chat in the game :) I wished I could say "good job" to my opponents

I'm super impressed with multiplayer LD jam games. I played it with a Twitch group and it was crazy fun. Intuitive mechanics, fun art style, emotes... what else could you ask out of 48 hours of development? Awesome job!
Incredibly fun and fluid controls. The fact that you got multiplayer and a customization menu in the game is impressive. I liked both the music and the art.
this was a fun game to play, i would add maybe speed up when you press down, or slow down when you press back. other then that this was really fun to play. nice job!
Loved this, played it with some others while watching a stream, great game with a lot of people, tons of fun.

Super fun game here, really impressive to get a functioning multiplayer up during a jam! A couple hitboxes are tighter than I think is good, but that's a very minor complaint. Excellent game!
Amazing game!! The controls and netplay felt as crisp as winter air, and the sound design was pretty fantastic. Plus, the chill guitar jams added a lot! Some of the most fun I've ever had playing LudumDare. I imagine it would still be fun single player, but the multiplayer component is SO fun!

It's nifty to play a multiplayer SkiFree, but in practice it means you spend a lot of downtime waiting for the best player to die. It would be nice if the skill floor was a little lower

Insanely fun and addicting. Graphics are simple and goofy obviously, but they're consistent enough to create a nice visual style. Impressed that you got multiplayer working for a game jam.

Even solo the concept is enjoyable. I think the graphics hit that programmer art / MS Paint aesthetic well. The audio is nice for the timeframe. Customizable characters is a great touch.

Loved the game. Music is a little repatitive so I appreciate the ability to turn it down. Sound effects were great though! Art is cute and fun.

Wow, real time online multiplayer racing in 48 hours? Incredible! Really love the fact that it's not immediately obvious that you want to maintain top speed by not steering too much until the avalanche first catches up to you!
I played your game and here're the things I loved: - Breaking the neck hitting a tree - Rage screaming - Carving up in front of another player and making him fail - Picking up pink bikini for a ride
I also did not like: - Feeling lonely when other players are gone
Joined this game while a streamer was playing it, so there were quite a few people making it really fun! Love that you actually made an online competitive game, and in a custom engine at that! It was really fun.

Fantastic fun! Solid multiplayer SkiFree implementation, you got character customization in, it was clearly a lot of fun as a stream/play with chat game. It's got a nice tight loop so it's usually not too long a wait when you're out before the next round.
Good implementation of skiing basics. Couple of hitboxes were maybe not quite forgiving enough but overall felt good.
One player noted that ping time to the server caused an issue for them, so it would be good to look into that.
I would love an option to swap left/right, as my brain really wanted the classic controls relative to the skier's facing rather than relative to the camera.
That felt very, very extreme. Loved it. In an extreme way. Extremely.
The fact that you did a multiplayer game for a Ludum Dare is completely amazing! You should do this an online multiplayer game for people to play with friends with different places and effects and sell this on Steam, because it's really great!

The controls felt very appropriate for skiing, the perfect amount of 'slide'. I sat here for a while versing a few players on your stream. It's great fun, reminds me of SkiFree from years ago. I also feel like some of the hit-boxes are a little to large, which is slightly frustrating sometimes, but you learn to avoid obstacles with a wider birth.

Was surprised to find I wasn't alone when I played! Got to about 30.000 before crashing. Really great and relaxing game. The multiplayer aspect was a big surprise!

Lovely game! I personally loved the thematic. The graphics and audio make it very charming, and the gameplay feels right. I sadly couldn't try the online game, but will check again later, because playing alone was already very fun. Very nice compo entry overall, I enjoyed it!

Honestly best game I have played so far, It is a genuine joy to roll down a hill with other people just for all of us to run into the same rock and die. 10/10 would skate into rock again
Really awesome game! Everything controlled really well and the online multiplayer added a lot of replayability. Can't really ask for much more as a compo game, but perhaps post-LD it would been interesting to let the players interact in some way (e.g., throwing objects, shoving, etc.), but that might be tough to balance around insta-death without feeling a bit too random (and perhaps the more involved netcode). :P
I find it amazing when people manage to make actual online multiplayer games for LD, and yours is very n**ice**.

Classic kuviman fun. I often complained about hitboxes, but then I started dodging the shadows of the trees as well :D That helped!

pretty simple but crikey we had fun! I always enjoy that you try and make collaborative games, which in turn helps bring people together in the community. I think this one was good because it could be fun to play single player too, and had a short round-duration which made it great for keeping people engaged.
Multiplayer skifree, simple but effective. Played this on marcmagus' stream with people there and had lots of fun :]. The game has some quirks, but it plays into the silly style of the game, overall very fun.
This is so enjoyable! Had fun playing with you and I like the little customization. The graphics have a charm. It's definitely a challenge but it's enjoyable. I think the emotes really add a ton because it makes it feel like I'm interacting a lot more than just moving and competing. Fantastic submission.

Fun game. I'm thinking this is the game that works as a multiplayer and unfortunately, I played when it was just me. In spite of that, I really enjoyed it and how easy the controls were in order to play. Eventually I will get past my 20k score
Only add I would suggest is putting in a leaderboard

Really well done on this, it gives me a lot of nostalgia for some of those early 2000s multiplayer games. The online part feels really smooth and the game didn't feel unfair at any point either. Nice work!

Had a couple of people from our team and a random person (hi Kimo if you see this :D) playing and had a great time! The emote communication was just the right blend of restrictive and expressive, reminded me of Journey in a way. Only wish you could emote while fallen from the sidelines to react when spectating (either to other fallen or to surviving ones as well). Great entry!

Such a good mini game! I love gamplay and rivalistatioon with other players. The game is well balance. You have ability to slow down but to much makes that the lavina will cover you. I had one more turn syndrome :P Good job!

This was pretty fun! Impressive to have a character editor, multiplayer & emotes, I like it! The gameplay is a pretty simple runner but the added multiplayer thing makes it funnier!

Cool to see multiplayer in a jam game. I did some solo skiing and watched one of the above videos to see how the multiplayer compares. I quite liked how the movement handles, where you slow down and kick up snow as you dig in for a turn. I felt like I had the ability to do both slight adjustments and sharp turns.
39181 was my highest score, though it felt a bit like getting a high score is dependent on how long before the avalanche shows up, which felt somewhat random. Outrunning the avalanche did feel fairly inevitable, though on straight sections you can last a little while.
Music was good but it felt a little bit repetitive, maybe it could be a longer loop. The sound of snow as you turn was pretty good.

Damn this is goooooood, the multiplayer with the emotes is so fun i really enjoyed it! There is nothing much to say it's amazing! Thanks to my master yo that has some skis skills, he teached me everything i need to know!
Only "downside" is i had to reload the game if i wanted to change my name, as i didn't find at first glance where i should have put it, i was stuck with unamed. But that's a really tiny inconvenience.

Love the online multiplayer! There seems to be a bug where people can stand/get stuck on the start line and always count as winning with 0. I'm not good at the game, but it's neat regardless!

The game (and the music) is very fun and uplifting. I found it easiest to ignore the course and just dodge the trees. please add an option to invert the controls - my old brain expects 'tank-controls', where left is the player's left and not left on the keyboard.
