The aesthetics of this game are excellent. It knows exactly what it wants to be and does it really well. The 80s-esque music and feel work great together. The game is challenging, but fair. Overall, a solid experience.

I wish I had my VR glasses on to play this game on it, but unfortunately I forgot it in the store.
I felt like I was playing F-zero, but without other cars and curves, the music matches the gameplay a lot, which despite being difficult at first, later I can get the hang of it.
I didn't understand why I couldn't register, my score, I had a perfect 5 minute match, but ok.

Was able to make it to high noon lol. Nice game, though it does have some issues. My main issue was honestly not being sure where exactly I'd end up after a jump. Also, there was a physics bug where I ended up getting shot upwards after hitting one of the platforms which was sort of tilted to the one I was on. The general aesthetic and music are great as well. Nice entry
I love these types of games and yours is really challenging, took me some time to get the hang of it and then its an enjoyable, but still challenging ride. The music is really nice. Good job.
Good stuff Pomo, very difficult game, very satisfying to bounce around
Wipeout was my first try hard game as a kid, so this game pushes all my right buttons. The controls felt too floaty at first but after several tries I got the hang of it. It's always hard to know if the controls need work or if it's normal getting used to it. In the end I think the controls are fine. The graphics fit perfect, the music is a bop, the theme of chasing the sun is great. Obviously a lower bar to get in the leaderboard would be preferred, but you know that. The ledges that shoot you up in the air is the thing that bothered me the most. It would be nice to see the edges of the platforms since a few times I felt I cleared them on a jump but didn't.

Managed to get to the end with shortcuts and tried forever to get on the leaderboard. I give up for now, but mark my words: I will do it at some point. But its a really great game with an awesome soundtrack!
God this game is hard... Been trying for a while and I couldn't get past the blue stage... I wish the controls were just a little crisper. Other than that the style and the music are really awesome. Well done, maybe I will beat it some day...

Great game, very challenging but in a good way! A bit hard to navigate when the camera spins around if you manage to bounce above the center of the "tube", but apart from that, really rewarding to push yourself further and furter. Great aesthetics as well.

Addicting game, great look, really hard but i wanted to keep trying because it was so fun!
Really fun, couldn't help but keep playing and listening to the banger in the background. The intersecting platforms being able to knock you to the opposite side is pretty brutal, and sometimes I felt like I could slip past an obstacle, but then I couldn't. Ah well, probably played this game longer than any other entry so far!
I'm not great at it, but I sure had fun! I wish the controls were a little more sensitive, but I got the hang odf it eventually! Great job!

I definitely played this more than anything so far, mostly just frustration-fueled drive to make it to the sun. I dug the aesthetics and the guitar track was chill.
My main challenges were * No "player" model, so it was sometimes hard to tell where I was touching the ground * The controls felt a little too "slippery" for a precision jumping game. I had to apply a lot of reverse-pressure to counteract the spin * Sometimes the collisions felt a little unfair (for example, you clip the edge of a platform and ricochet into the center of the tube)
Otherwise, I spent a good 40 minutes at it. That should speak for itself :)

The feel of this game is so relaxing, but stressful at the same time haha It's a good combo. The gameplay is smooth, and the level progression feels rewarding

Great music, great gameplay, great madge on stream 10/10 when can I go on the leaderboard y dis game hard. Jokes aside, make the moon chase you faster because it's not very apparent that it chasing you ending the game is delaying the inevitable. Although technically the level theme and design reflects that of the next day is always inevitable going from the morning to dusk and to daybreak (hint, new stage name instead of sunrise that sounded boring lmao).
Solid, beautiful and immersive game! Pretty stressful though. I couldn't make it to the end as I wanted to take a break but maybe I'll give another go sometime later

This is really cool! It's totally nailing a certain psychadelic vibe. It kinda reminds me of the surfing stages from Rayman 3 lol. I don't think I got very far because I'm terrible when controls have friction, but I reached the part with the electric guitars.

Loved the neon aesthetics! Unfortunately I'm bad at it so I've yet to finish - even using shortcuts. I'll have to go back to it after playing more entries...
One thing I'd suggest is that the tubes could have some (neon?) borders as their outside can blend with their inside.
I was so so bad at this game, but it really made me laugh and was super fun! I definitely fell off immediately, but that's how I found how its nice and quick to restart at least! Overall it gives me Sonic vibes because its so fast and spiny, its hard to get the hang of, but once I understood what the balls were for, things were fine haha.
The vibes were nice and im glad there was a shortcuts once you got far enough!
Overall, nicely done! And the leaderboard is a great touch, not that I'LL ever get to touch it haha. I also liked the music :)
Game was very fun. Played through it with shortcuts, and I'll be working on finishing it without soon. Simple gameplay, but it still doesn't get stale after repeat attempts. Will certainly revisit after playing more games.
Well, the game has quite an addictive gameplay. The movement is challenging, however, I didn't have many problems with it. On the other hand, it's not that obvious that I have to keep a certain movement speed.

The Game is fun, yet challenging.
The visuals really fit the arcade feeling of the game. Unfortunately, the controls felt waaay too sluggish for me, as if I was controlling a boat in space :( I think I would wave enjoyed a more nervous gameplay.
Any way, it's still a nice submission, gratz !
The aesthetic is very cool and the game plays well! I wish there was some audio feedback for when jump/land, and maybe a bit higher initial acceleration as it feels a bit sluggish in the beginning (feels better later). Great job in general though!

Good stuff once I realized my controller was out of deadzone and switched to using it. Fun challenge, interesting perspective, floaty felt good but hard. Found it a bit challenging to judge where I would be landing, and sometimes I felt like my double-jump vanished. I'm sure that's all user error.

Game looked amazing and the music was awesome. The art style fit the narrative perfectly and I love the feeling of going super fast.
But unfortunately there are some big issues with the physics. It looks like you used a built-in physics system which doesn't work best in this application. Moving left/right is momentum based which can make the character hard to move quickly, and centrifugal force means that the player will fall much faster while moving left/right. I think it would've been better to keep track of the player's velocity then move the player forward based on that every frame, then store the player's left/right location with a 360deg. angle. Then use raycasts to tell if the player is grounded or runs into something. To move left/right just change the angle by an amount inversely proportional to the distance from the center.
But don't get me wrong, this is still an excellent submission and I enjoyed it very much :smile: .

A good game, pomo! I enjoyed it! Definitely one that you have to keep playing to get used to the controls and predicting your movement. Really nice mood set by the audio and trippy visuals at times. Nice that you added checkpoints too, for accessibility!

The overlapping tiles sometimes throw you up into the air which can be frustrating, and the responsiveness of the rotation could use a little nudge upwards I think, but otherwise great.
Really great looks. Awesome atmosphere and nice execution of the theme. But the controls were a choice, I believe. I think they could be intentionally this floaty. I feel it fits the challenge. But in case you want your controls to be more snappy, make sure to use the constant force component in unity to increase gravity, for example. That's the smartest way to do non-floaty controls in 3D, at least as far as I know.
Synthwave aesthetics are the way to my heart. This game just hits all the right spots. The art. The music. The gameplay. Theres nothing not to love. Except the floatiness of the character. That takes some time to get used to.
Other than that, perfect.
It's the *vibe* that makes this game really shine. And when you get in the zone, it feels pretty good. I love the rush, and for me it scratches the same itch as quake defrag's high-speed traversal.
However, the physics-based movement makes it difficult to feel in control. I suppose the floatiness might be intended and it creates a unique experience on its own - but I'd very much like to try out the exact same game with more precise controls.
It might be a personal preference. The *vibe* definitely got to me though.
Btw good choice on including the tunnel sections - they work very well as the breather between high-stakes platforming.

carpediem_UW.png Doesn't seem to completely agree with UW screens. Pretty fun to play, but hitting those small ledges that yeet you upwards are brutal. Very unlikely to be able to correct for them, unless you get lucky with platform placement. Feels a bit too slide-y at low speeds, high speeds it evens out and it seems easier to control.

I feel like I was very bad at this game but I can imagine a more skilled player enjoying the challenge of staying on. I did make it to a new platform eventually, it seemed that if I rolled a level where I didn't have to jump soon I would get further. I feel like jumping is much harder than just running which is odd that the two mechanics don't seem to be ramping/set at an even skill level. Like, if I just have to run I am having a good time and feel like I have a chance, as soon as I need to jump I just feel like I am destined to lose. Again, might just be a bad player here haha. Man this is soooo hard I suppose with the vibe of the game when you're in the zone it's really cool but for me the controls & collisions were frustrating ^^; Still have a nice vibe, nice graphics, interesting runner to say the least, and wish a leaderboard so kudos! Solid entry

Really cool entry! The music was really amazing and really added to the atmosphere a lot, very well made, although it would've been nice to have more levels with different music and something separate for the main menu so it's less repetitive. The graphics were simple but fit it really well, and the post processing helped add onto the mood properly too. The gameplay was overall really nice and kept me replaying it for a long time trying to get further, but I also had some issues with it. The tiles can overlap which send you flying into the air and often make you lose, which feels really unfair. The randomization each time you restart made it less repetitive but it sometimes also led to some situations where it was a lot harder to make it. The mouse to look option was mostly making it more confusing, and it wouldn't reset the camera position unless you restarted the game. I had some problems with the UI as well, the main menu was a bit confusing and in-game the jump bars sometimes didn't really seem to work correctly. The movement was sometimes a bit slow, which did make it feel a lot smoother but sometimes it did make it harder to correct for issues or to land a jump. The theme and story sometimes felt a bit tacked on or like it didn't really fit it. It would've also been nice to have some more levels with a slower difficulty curve so you can get the hang of the controls slowly.
Still, for such a short time frame this is a really good game, with some slight more refinement I could see myself playing this a lot haha, great job, really cool idea and was fun to play :D

very cool mechanics very intuitive and nothing limiting the player which is one of the best thing i love about your game design! lets the player exercise their own strategies! loved the music also. one thing thou i believe it would improve the experience to let edge catching renew jumps!

Unfortunately I missed the tournament since I was on Vacation.
It took me a long time this LD but I finally made it to the Top of your leaderboard.
One speedrunning trick for anyone wanting to beat this score: Sideways acceleration is faster than forward. So use your mouse to turn yourself sideways and accelerate with a or d as often as you can! It is tricky but, once mastered, it makes especially the start much faster

Mayhaps could use slightly different inertia for going forward/backward and side to side, so that rotating doesn't feel so unpredictably slidey, especially at lower speeds. Also I would like a slightly better chance to save a fall into the void if I have enough jetpack to stop the dive and go back up on a platform.
