This is a very fun platformer. I found the movement very satisfying and the premise very funny. Good work.

That was a lot of fun! Great ideas and execution
I had a great time with this. The art and platforming were both very well executed. I felt the hitbox on the grappling hook could be a little wonky sometimes. Great job!
Very funny with nice graphics and music ! Great work
Amazing game. I enjoy any game with a grapple hook. Also, a really unique take on harvesting! I had a bit of trouble with framerate in the web build, but even with that, I still had a great time with it.
The artwork and the music are amazing in this game! Great work. Overall, it was fun to play. I would suggest adding e.g. the spacebar to trigger the hook as well, such that people on a laptop can play it more easily.
Really nice game. I'm way too used to jumping with space so it took a while to get the movement.
It's working on itch.io but it's not working on ldjam.com. We stopped using ldjam.com for our own HTML5 games and just use itch.io because it's more reliable.
I got it working and it's just hilarious! I love how the troll is wearing leather spiked cuffs, so funny! I wish the jumping was a little more consistent, it's kinda unpredictable when the ground's at an angle. Pulling out the teeth with the grappling hook is funny, I've never seen a mechanic like that in a game before. Awesome!
This one made me laugh, really great gross-out moments, lovely art style, fun to play too! Great controls.
@sullycollins, @fiat-ventus, @globul, @tomaspraestholm - Thanks for playing, glad you liked it :) @cactusdan - yeah I think the flies are especially hard. Was there anywhere else you found it being a bit wonky? @orhu Thanks for the heads up - wondered if you could let us know the browser/machine you are on? Need to get a bit of experience optimising for Webgl! @crygos @pe7e - Thanks for the suggestions. We'll have to battle it out for space for either hookshot or jump! @sean-esopenko Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the heads up! did it not load on ldjam or just poor performance? Any idea what the issue is on hosting here?
@simono I played in chrome. I had like 20 tabs open when I did, so I'd imagine that'd impact performance a bit.
Just in case, here are my specs: OS: Windows 10, CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, 16GB RAM
@orhu Thanks for sharing that, yeah that should play fine! Performance seems weirdly variable on WebGL play.
@simono From what I remember it was just the flies that had weird hitboxes. Everything else worked great
Really nice! More Halloweeny rather than harvest. Art is beautiful! And it was fun pulling out the tooth, hah.
I really liked it, I didn't expect to see troll-themed games and you really went full on with this! Congratulations :japanese_ogre:
Gameplay is fun, art is really funny and overall I really did enjoy the game. Meeting the head of the troll was an hilarious moment for me ^^
Great stuff, really lovely world to be in. Now, I was planning to say that it's cool how the game is not demanding on the player, and it doesn't make you go through BS over some wrong-step-and-you-die BS, but the 2nd level reduced that feeling due to spikes + challenges that come up with dragging the big tooth. Making a player start the level from scratch is a risky move for LD, I guess most peeps won't mind but I'm not a big fan of platformers. The restart just felt kind of out of place for me, as I was enjoying the atmosphere and storyline progression more than the challenges.
But with that said really great job, the platforming feels smooth and not clunky, the grappling hook is fun, of course the graphics (even including the itch page) and the whole mood is just great.
This game was really great, and fun. I like the hook mechanic and thought it was interesting to pull certain items you needed such as the tooth and the eyeball. It also had a good ending haha.
Nice entry the hook was really fun and the art was hilarious well done image_2023-01-11_204253104.png
Graphics are really great , i love the goblin walk animation !
Very Funny game in lot a of aspect ( gameplay, dialogue, music, visual )
Really cool game i liked the idea, and i liked the art, i would recommend adding a option to also jump using the spacebar, and also i feel like the walkable elements blended too much into the background, other than that it's a really good entry and keep it up!
Such a fun and unique platformer! The sound effects and music were spot-on, and the art/animation are excellent. I really enjoyed being able to traverse the levels in several different ways, and even using more tricky grappling/swinging techniques to climb faster as you become familiar with the level. The limited inventory also really meshes well with the different climbing paths, encouraging you to try different methods each time. You managed to capture some of the fun of SotC, while also expanding on some ideas and giving your game its own identity. Great job, you guys!
This game is hilarious! (in a good way) Graphics are awesome and the gameplay was so fun. Just grappling everywhere and swinging to the sky it's super fun!
and the sound effects... are disgusting (again in a good way)
overall good job!
Fun art! I like the face on the cauldron :) On one of the levels I had a little trouble trying to collect the pus while bouncing and avoiding the spikes so I lost a lot of health there. I also agree with @noeloskar about increasing the contrast between foreground and background.
Nice game! The hook mechanic and art style were very good!
Really cool looking game with great physics. The art looks fantastic and the character design is really funny, as is the whole premise. Some bits made me feel sick in a good way!
