Fun idea! I love "human benchmarks" like this and having the sound queue fade out sooner and sooner was a great way to increase the difficulty. Best I could do was 9 hits :P

Its an interesting idea executed well. Not much to say aside from that. It does exactly what it claims/intends to do. I had fun.
For such a simple game, this was reaally well done! It felt like one of those audio-visual experiences, even though all it had was text (XD)! Strangely satisfying listen to the countdown, and it gets even better as it starts to fade out... Real interesting, real simplistic, wonderfully done.
Brilliantly executed. The UI is really clean, and the way that the numbers pop out towards the player is a really effective way to reinforce the counting.
Telling the player how far they were on their previous guess *and* how close they need to get to keep playing was a great decision, and it works really well. Great job!
Very fun. Reminds me of the postman minigame from majora's mask.
Extremely well done! The UI and sound design really pull this simple concept together.
Really really impressive. Great execution, profoundly minimal in look/feel, sound, and mechanics, but still super engaging.
Great game! Simple and really fun.
Fun, simple, short and sweet. This was a very cool application of the theme, and might honestly help to improve my ability to count accurately. Going to come back to this later. Well done.
Much more enjoyable than I expected. I know there's a bit of a similar game in one of the Mario Party's, and I was expecting something like that. But since this is just PVE, you had to make up for that hole somehow. The combination of disappearing signals + the smaller threshold for accuracy led to some surprisingly intense moments!
I like that in the starting rounds, you can see how far off you are at first. I generally was -100ms or so, which made me second guess a lot of my later clicks. There's a surprisingly psychological effect from the previous runs on the later ones.
Best I could do was 9 though, all my rhythm game experience is in shambles.
Simple polished game and surprisingly fun, it really shows how you don't need crazy gameplay to make a great game.
The sound effects give the game most of its feel, and it feels brilliant. Very well executed!
This is such a simple but amazing game! The sound design is perfect and it just has such a vibing feeling to it. Amazing what you accomplished with so little
Suuuch a cool game and concept. I love the puzzle aspect of it and audio and sfx add so much :D It fits the theme so amazingly well and it allows players to be creative or brute force it. Awesome game!!!
Very simple, but very good game nonetheless. Really enjoyed it. Great presentation and audio. I got 11 hits.
It's really cool how you made the theme into an entire game. Also polished visuals and sound.
I love it, it is simple but fun
A nice, simple game. The difficulty increase each round is really well done!
11 HITS!
Top notch innovative theme usage. You really did a great job making this feel intense with so little to work with. It gave me Tetris Effect vibes.
this properly tickled my musician bones. simultaneously Zen and tense as heck! how did u pull that off?
So easy so smart ! Got 8 hits first try :) . Like how its get harder that is wat i call great game design.

oh, this so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I can't stop
This was surprisingly really fun! It was extremely simple, but very polished. Not a whole ton to the graphics but the audio and mood all were really nice. Really good sound effects.
A trick I learned from drumming is counting the middle beats (out loud!) to help with timing. E.g.
10 2 3 4 9 2 3 4 8 2 3 4 7 2 3 4 ...
With all that said I still sucked at this game (got to 9). But that was fun :)
@poboy that's exactly right! A great strategy is to subdivide the beats. Now the trick is to subdivide accurately...
Nice minigame! It reminds me of this board game: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/244992/mind
Why am I counting outloud! everyone is staring :) Really polished and thought out entry
12 hits, error margin - 100ms. This was fun. I liked sound design
Simple idea but overall fun. It's like a minimalist rhythm heaven.
11 hits. Great interpretation, nice experiece, very polished and surprisingly relaxing.
Loved it! It also proved that I am terrible at keeping time!
Really original and fun game! congrats!
The game is exactly as what I expected :P Nice and clean UI, good job!
Simple idea, great execution. The sound design makes it very calming. 13 was my max
I found the music to fit very well, giving a kind of hypnotic vibe, while I was intensly staring at the time counter and counting out loud. Good job!
Much more fun than expected! Couldn't get past 9 :P This game shows that a game doesn't need fancy assets and effects to be fun and polished. Good job :)
Really great game, love to benchmark myself. Got up to 13.
really simple but great idea nonetheless! i like games with realy simple and clear ways to increase difficulty and and pushing the player to get better.
Years of drumming finally coming in handy!
Didn't expect to spend that much time benchmarking my sense of rhythm when I sat down to play LD51 games.
Simple, but effective! Felt very satisfying to play, only got to 9 hits tho. I'm a rythm gamer, but not having any context really shows how hard it is to keep the rythm, haha.
Great job!
Got 8 hits. Really like the vibe of this game. It's like a meditation.
Your game is so charming and feels sooo polished!
Really cool! The sound effects and music are simple but perfect for a game like this. Great work!
Well. It was straightforward. I liked it
Very well crafted game! Fits perfectly with the theme. I like how the game can be understood with just one line of text.
Great work!
Oh I like this game ,It is so simple ,,,but plays feeling good .but it is get harder and harder ,graphic is comfortable
Simple idea, but very nice delivery. Kept me occupied probably more than it should.
Great in its simplicity. Really great take on the theme. As a drummer, I did pretty well, but it still challenges me to keep the rhythm. Congrats on the awesome submission!
Very simple. Very addicting. Well done!
Very well polished and great execution of the idea! Great work
Never enjoyed counting down from 10 this much :D Really addicting, got to 10 clicks! Very nice also a unique clever fit for the theme! Nice! :D
Honestly really fun simple but in a good way nice job kept me playing
Hey this was the idea we started with too! We ended up pivoting from the internal counting, but I really like how this turned out! Simple, and polished :)
Very simple idea, great use of the theme and well polished. I initially played without sound on and wow what a difference the audio made to my performance.
Simple satisfying on theme
I'm suddenly very concerned about my perception of time... This a really cool, meditative experience!
Awesome submission. I expected some sort of jumpscare :D
nice! my best is 9, short and well executed!
Very unique take on the theme. The audio fading away was great and it gradually becoming harder as more and more seconds dissapear. I learned I'm not as good at telling time as I thought 😂. Very simple but well implemented game.
Nice! Got to 12 on my second try, a mode that starts difficult would be nice so I don't have to do the easier levels to test my skills. Had a good time with this.
interesting idea ... it feels almost like a rhythm game ... I thought I had to hit right click on every seconds the most accurately I could. Waiting 10 seconds to do some action feels a bit frustrating.
Got to 11, I was never very good at the postman game but hey, at least I won. Pretty basic, but entertaining. Trying to beat scores and challenges is always fun, and this is pretty much pure challenge. I don't think I'd try again, but some people might want to see just how far and how accurate they can get, so I see the potential replayability of the game, even though it's a simple concept.
I scored 12! Really interesting concept. Does exactly what it sets out to do. I found that tapping out the beats with my hand really helped.
Simple idea but the game is well polished. Easy to learn but hard to survive :D. I like it!
the game on the itch.io link did not work; loading the game never completed for me. I downloaded the ZIP tho and I thought the gameplay was really fun yet simple!
Simple. Not sure what feedback you need. Well executed and entertaining. Nice work.
Simple yet effective. There is really a desire to try again and again until the 10 is reached ahah
I tried it on my phone and it was perfect. I could definitly see it released as is on app stores, maybe with a few more "human benchmark" added
It turns out pretty good! Very cool immersive experience! GJ!
i like that it gets more challenging
Amazing how much fun it can be to count and looking at a black Screen! Nice idea and Execution!
Elegant concept. Great implementation. I got no notes.
I am incredibly tired, but still made it to 300ms somehow... then my brain started counting *upwards* for some reason. I panicked and missed by about three seconds. I'll get back to this after I had some sleep.
Simplest idea i have seen this time but a great implementation of the theme. Made it to 10!
Very well done, simple but efficient! I think I could have spent a lot of time on it if I didn't force myself to stop.
Overall very good idea well executed
I only made it to 9! but oh my goodness was this fun. the difficulty getting harder as you go was a suprise at first but then I caught on quick
Got to 11 after being surprised it went past 10 haha, I thought I'd won! Really simple concept made fantastic by polished audio design and CLEAN interface design. Great job on this little experience!
This is so simple but effective! I really like this entry, it's beautifully minimalist and there's nothing unnecessary about it.
Very cool minimalistic game!
I thought it was too simple and then I played it more and more and the detail developed and it became addicting. Very nice
Hey! Thanks for stopping by the stream to show us Headcount! Here's a video I cut together of it along with some of the other games: https://youtu.be/cbu3KZnDqik
So addictive. I WANT MORE!

Simple but yet one of the best games played so far. Really good job on the overall concept and game graphics.
Really like the simple idea! :)
Such a clever idea! Really love it as a drummer! Keeping time :) Love the whole mood of it! Really addicting! Great work!!
Super good game, I had a margin of error of 80ms and made 14 hits. I really liked this game, the idea is so simple but it's well executed and does much more than other more complex games with extra stuff.
this is the proof that often, less is more! sometimes you don't need to invent 149623 crazy ideas, only a good one like this is enough. if this game doesn't have 5/5 on theme, who will? also the sound soothed me haha
10 hits! I managed one within 8ms, somehow! Simple and efficient, solid. The SFX and music are quite soothing, and the slow fading to increase difficulty is just perfect. Nice job!
Simple. To the point. Addictive. Nice. 13 hits. 13hits.jpg
Oh my god dude, I swear this is the best entry in the whole competition. It's so simple and yet so intense and engaging! I think this is the perfect example of how to achieve great results with the limited time/resources of a jam. Excellent scope management and creativity! Great work.
Pretty chill game, but i think game needs some type of calibration menu
simple yet perfect for a jam entry and the theme !!
Fun idea, i made to 8 ^^
Really interesting idea! I love the simplicity of it and how you really get into it as it progresses. Nice little title!
