Cool game, I like the upgrade system a lot. Actually my game has one that is quite similar, I thought that was funny.

Cool game, I like the upgrade system a lot. Actually my game has one that is quite similar, I thought that was funny.
Cool game, the graphics could have used some work though :P That aside the levels were all the same and were too repetitive but the bosses were really fun. Overall good job!
I absolutely love the graphics and the idea was really unique, if not very frustrating, but I suppose that was kind of the intent.
Nice! The graphics are amazing, gameplay is good, though a bit slow. I don't know if I was doing it wrong or not, but it just felt like there was a lot of waiting/looking for those shadows.
Amazing game :O Good graphics, fun core mechanics, audio was nice... The only thing I can think of that's missing is a way to control the speed, because sometimes I had to wait a while for the guy to walk. Still, great work!
Nice game, graphics were spot on!
Really nice! Good art, sound and gameplay. Other people have said movement could be clunky and I agree, but it usually wasn't too bad. The moving target was a neat touch instead of just clicking. I think my biggest critique would be the lack of variety, I think it would be a really awesome game if different enemies spawned, maybe ones with hats that are stronger or some faster ones with weird movement patterns. Maybe also if you could get more buildings and pets too. Regardless, nice game!
@triggthediscovery Thanks! I'm actually so glad people liked the game, I haven't really made puzzle before, so I spent some time during the compo watching videos about what makes a good puzzle. xD
@rjerez192 Thanks for the feedback! In terms of music, I wish it had some, but I am really awful at making it so I didn't bother. Another comment mentioned just getting some royalty free music online, sort of wish I did that but also I prefer making everything myself. Though what you said about the water contrast is a very good point, it's not something I thought about because as the dev I had no problems seeing it, but that is something I really should be more conscious about in future projects.
Cool game, short, simple and sweet. Not a major issue or anything, but I just wonder why you chose up arrow as the one button to control.
Not sure what possessed you to make this game but alright... xD Kidding of course, really great work, in terms of legitimate critiques, the choice of controls was a bit odd, what I mean is you play with just one hand and I found that weird. Furthermore, as advertised, there were gaps in the pixels... That was also strange... Regardless, nice game!
Nice work! At times the controls could feel a bit clunky and that glass shattering noise was a bit too painful to listen to, but overall really good game!
First thing I notice is the absolute earthquake caused by this bug landing. xD Aside from that, not sure if it was just me, but it took me a long while to realize that the goal was to collect the black stuff. But man, the graphics and sound were really good! And the gameplay wasn't too shabby... Nice work!
Amazing, this is one of my favourites!
I'm gonna be honest I clicked on this by accident, but I don't regret it! xD
Nice game! Though I myself found it really hard, maybe that's just cause I bought a gun and killed everyone I saw. Then I had to beg for food everyday until my family died of starvation... xD Though I never did find that colleague.
Anyway, I think some things could have been more clear, like what actions take time. Sometimes for me going inside then back out would make it night, but I'm not sure why, and that cost me my family. But great work on the story, graphics, sound and minigames, which btw were a great addition. Overall, nice work!
I'm not sure what that was. In terms of gameplay, it was a bit bland, it would be nice if you could you use an ability or something, or if there was some variety other than standing at the door punching the same guy walking through over and over. Graphics were good, sound was alright, though there was something off about it... Perhaps it was the man whispering "That's the sausage!" in my ear all the time? Either way this was a very surreal experience that just needed a bit more interaction gameplay wise.
This is hilarious, it was kinda sad when the creature died, but when I couldn't bring it back for another hour was even more depressing. Kinda wish there was a few different endings based on how long it was alive, cuz mine lasted for like 1000 seconds. xD
@senokos Well it's good to hear there actually are different messages, not sure if I want to bother clicking another ~1800 times though... bruh
@senokos Welp, I used macros to spam 50 clicks a second or so, creature died after a little bit and it said it died after -4000 seconds... Well played...
That was surprisingly good, I thought that was pretty fun! Sounds and graphics weren't bad either! Though I will say, I wish it had an ending, I reached 500 crowns to get the next upgrade, but it was just grayed out... Kinda sad IMO. Still, well done!
That was really funny, though, I don't know if I was playing it wrong or something, but I did next to nothing and won.
Nice game, really solid overall, with good gameplay, graphics and sound. Bit of a personal complaint, but I just wish it had an ending/a way to win. Again it's just something I have a problem with, but still, I fueled up my fire, then ran off into the nothingness until my fire burnt out. Unless of course there is a way to win and I am just stupid. xD
But yeah, good game!
Pretty awesome! Art was good, gameplay was alright, and the dialogue kept it interesting. The growing medusa was a really cool touch, probably the best part of the game in my opinion. Though I will say the sound could be a bit annoying, but it wasn't too bad all things considered.
Pretty funny game, though I wish the bug limit was higher, I just liked swatting tons at once. I think it would be hilarious if there could be like 200 bugs on screen at once, not that it's important at all, I just think it would be funny.
Cool game! I think my biggest problem was a bug sort of, if you hold down an arrow key, he will collect hundreds of inputs quickly, and zoom off, and if there's an enemy, they will get to act just as many times, but you will have run in a wall for most of that time. Also it lagged when I did that, like a lot. Nice work though!
Start game
First chicken spawns
game over
nice
(I did actually go again and actually play, but not much more to say other than funny chicken)
The variety in powerups was actually pretty nice. Good stuff
Though the game could have been a lot faster, like if everything just moved and shot faster, I think it would be better.
A relaxing crab life sim very cool. :)
Really though it was nice, I played till I got all the upgrades (health and energy seemed to be endless), just a bit sad the giant enemy crab never came back.
I rather enjoyed this one, sometimes the way to beat levels could be a bit finicky but overall it was really fun. One thing I will say though, jump/ghost button should have been SPACEBAR.
The typing spells is a neat concept, I only made it as far as STARS before I got lost and wandered back to the beginning. Idk if it's just me but the map might be a bit too maze-like.
Opening the game for the first time is quite the information overload lol.
But after I destroyed my thermal plants, my nation thrived! They only died out because I destroyed everything except my forges in the mountains. Reactors are fun xD
Great concept though, really fits the theme too.
Working oneself to death, classic
I think some variety could have helped, namely if the customers moved around, and maybe if there were random pickups. Still, good work!
@thomas-higgins Thanks! But yeah if I'm not mistaken the stutter was actually to do with the movement not actually the FPS necessarily (which would be why it kills), could be wrong though. And yeah lack of sound is my biggest regret, but I really had no time xD. Then I would want to add proper a upgrade/gun system and bosses.
"Why'd you hit me"
"Look a bird!"
Funny stuff, course it has no replay value but... xD
It's a simple and decent game, but for some reason what catches my attention is the description/title text. Something about opening to just, "it's over" really sets a nice tone.
Simple and fun, reminds me of home run contest in smash bros. And of course, great art ;)
Good stuff! XD
Though I did have an issue where if you click deliver before the receiving a request you get stuck as far as I could tell.
lol I had fun, but my favourite part might be how you can safely land the helicopter upside down. Good stuff!
Drunk mode? Say no more!
But really though I liked this game and the drunk mode was peak.
So like there was a bunch of lag for me, but it's okay because all the people I lost had it coming. Also I like the backstory that you made this to mourn your dead character.
I don't if it was intentional, but that game was really creepy, even the end screen. Something about the music and the look that pig was giving me... It was a bit unnerving.
Jokes aside it was a nice game though a bit tedious at times, often to do with how buggy the sucker could be with turning. xD
I largely agree with the first comment, but I will add that the motion blur was perhaps a bit too much for me.
Also I see that this was your first Ludum Dare, so let me just say welcome, I hope you enjoy your time making and playing games here!
I didn't read the description before I start playing, so when the super funky menu popped up I was quite excited to play the game. xD
Needless to say after my confusion wore off I read the description, and man, that's the funniest thing I've seen all day.
Keep up the great work!
Nice game, very sweet, could be a bit slow at times, could have used some sort of speed up function or whatever.
Either way, nice work!
P.S. I love the name of the game. XD
Nice work! Though definitely could have been faster paced. Also spamming hydras is so op lol xD
