You really help the player along the way of the journey. There was a knock knock at the beginning but further there was no sound. / audio. I see that you opted out of the sound which would really set a mood going on. Otherwise, Well done. A bit too much text for m.e. personally

ooboob 2024-04-15 09:55

Pretty cool, but the text would have to be skipping, if you a making it go so slowly, and making me lose pretty much arbitrarily Looks good!

The strength on my right hand fingers' has increased by 3!! (from hitting keys to skip text on the retries)

Loved the graphics (they are LOVELY), humor, and the innovative take on the theme. The main thing the game is lacking is fun (personally), which is understandable given the constraints of this tool (whose name I don't recall). The ways you came up of using this tool are impressive. You've used it in surprising ways with the inventory and the "world map". Kudos. Loved the small detail inside the house with the self-comment about having to clean it up someday.

Thank you for making it and sharing. <3

@ooboob @dasilvacontin I heard you guys, I've added a post-compo version, in which you can try different combinations faster (skip intro and other useless sentences). I'll keep it in mind for future developments. Thanks!

I love a game that tells me I took too long so now the world is over, hah! I thought this was quite funny, thanks!

I really loved the art style you went for! The humor was really great and even though the mechanic was on the simpler side it was executed very well! What others have said of a way of speeding it up would have been nice from the get go but overall it was very enjoyable!

Really liked art style. I can feel a lot of work and love here. Have not managed to beat this game several times. 2 times have been thrown into the beggining of the game

But overall really liked it! Have a good Jam!

I'm guessing the garlic served as a fuel filter! I only killed the nervous man three times. It would have been two, but I didn't like him very much for some reason so I played again after winning to off 'im intentionally, world be damned.

Cool style for a short simple game. Enjoyed the dialogue, although I understood none of it. Fun little game

nardandas 2024-04-18 06:37

The art was really cute! I feel like with the length of the dialogue, more straightforward answers would have been nice. It *was* really funny though. Good job overall!

I really enjoyed the minimalistic color palette and pixel art. As other comments have said as well, some audio would have been great. Overall, great work on this entry!

I like how minimalistic game styled and it's nice game especially for a compo.

i love the minimalistic graphics, the tile-based art is charming and well-executed. the premise is cute too, it reminds me a bit of the old "GROW" games. nice work :)

rubymc222 2024-04-19 09:28

I liked the backstory but wished there was a few more inventory options so it's not as easy to work out. Fun game though!

yxure 2024-04-20 11:56

I loved the artistic style and the absurd humour xD. Good job!

konstantinreed 2024-04-20 12:14

Can't say I took away any moral from the story or understood why the items in the game do what they do. But I completed the game till the end and saved the world) Liked the pixel graphics. Good job.

Liked the minimalistic style! My only complaint would be that the intro gets cumbersome when the game is designed to be played multiple times, but I saw that it is already fixed in the post-compo version. Good entry!

frozenfire92 2024-04-29 00:40

This was a cool entry. I liked the old school art style. The items to fix/cure were not what I was expecting :joy: Keep on making games!

I really like the graphics and especially how the perspective and scale switches between screens! The story is basic but pulls you in enough.

Some music and sound effects would go a very long way in further selling the mood I think!
