Really awesome! The art and animation was really cool, and I thought the theming/story was really fun! I was a little confused by what happened when the bears disappeared, but other than that it's really solid!

Such a funny story! Really hard game though, I was struggling a bit
I had a bug where when the screen got red then it didn't stop being red even if I went up for more air. I loved the graphics especially when he is swimming. The intro cutscene was funny!
The story is something I didn't expect at all, and I didn't expect a herding game, I thought it would be a fishing game. I think it's a weird mix of different ideas, but it works well and fits the theme nicely.
I liked the bright colors and animations. Everything is animated so the game feels dynamic. Movement works well, too.
Great job! Good luck with your future projects!
It's very funny, but fu.. I never got to catch a fish
Haha, that made me laugh
I wasn't really to into the gameplay, but that intro was great.
Yehp that was pretty good, never thought I'd be playing a game about turning bears into salmon and feeding them to their relatives... 10/10
That story is brilliant! The game was pretty hard. Nice art and sound.
OMG, this game has way more devils and evils than a devil theme summoning game.. And all you do is just feed hungry bears little salmons!
the idea of salmons and bears is so catching (would be nice if the control is mouse direction based.. it's a bit stuck (the water effect is amazing!
Thanks for joining the stream and participating! Wonderful deep blue water with a marvelous underwater world. The next screensaver!
I scared all the salmon offscreen, luckily they were quickly replaced by the villagers! :D Super fun, super unexpected!!! S.I.P. (swim in peace), Kevin!
10/10 would buy on steam salmon sale
It's a fate worse than death to become the food you were trying to find... I think this game is pretty creepy under the cute graphics and animations... Today I learned that the "l" in "salmon" is silent :D I had fun but I don't think the villagers that ended up as salmons felt the same :p
okay, I didn't see Salmon coming. Graphics are pretty, and it has Salmon jumping. Good game.
I really liked this game! You guys are great!
this game is silly, I love it
The Good: - funny concept - liked what sound effect there were. - nice pixel art
The Not So Good: - herding mechanics were a little frustrating - I felt the intro cutscene took too long, personally.
Design Thoughts: - I died to running out of oxygen, and I feel like as a player I didn't really have enough info to parse that. My one suggestion there would be to increase the size of the oxygen meter and make it more obvious.
TL;DR Fun sounds, good art, gameplay wasn't for me.
Well, I only suffered one loss and 19 saves in my best run! A fun entry, pretty tricky and interesting to try mastering. The voice sounds were funny too. Cheers!
As a fellow "salmoning" pun title game, I had to play your game.
That was sad and funny at the same time and I'm glad Bernhard was struggling to feed everyone. That said, I wish that the hitbox for the bears were just a bit bigger as many a time the salmon would jump just over their heads and that didn't count >:
Anyway, nicely done!
The scream audio was a great addition, the salmon were very slippery to direct but I guess that it true to their nature! Good work!
The gOadt 🐐 does it again! This is the first non-puzzler you've put out since I started following your jam games -- and I loved it :). Thought the whole premise of the game was funny, and the gameplay was a bit redundant but still fun. Great work, Oadt!
Also my score was 170 points!
Haha, that story idea is ridiculous, I love it! :D
What works really well here is turning a failure into more help for the player. If you're not doing good enough and fail to feed the bears, they turn into salmon, giving you more opportunity to feed the rest. Brilliant!
The graphics look great, I love the artstyle! There's clearly a lot of effort put into it - everything is animated, you've even added a distortion effect for things underwater. One thing I was especially grateful for is the off-screen bear indicators, they're really helpful! I also loved how clearly you can see the state of each bear, through the ritual having visible progression.
One issue I had was with the bears catching hitboxes, as sometimes it was pretty difficult to figure out it the fish will get caught or not. It seems like the hitbox goes quite high up, so the bears easily catch fish flying over their heads, but I'd guess it could be extended a bit more to the left, as this appears to be the side I'm misjudging most often.
The sound effects are good, fitting for the game. All it needs is some light music in the background to reinforce the mood of the game.
Well done for letting the player skip the dialogue at the start faster, it makes it much easier if you're starting the game again. Though since you can't skip the animations, it might be good to add an overall "skip intro" button to move immediately to the "press space to start" screen.
Overall it's a really cool game, very impressive work for such a short compo time. Nicely done!

@unitedfailures Thank you so much for your kind words! Yeah, the theme didn't really inspire me for some strange game mechanic, so I went with a bit of a different strategy this time around. Glad you liked it anyway! And no worries, your game was on my TODO List since I got the notification when you posted it
@lcstark Oh wow, thanks you very much for sharing your thoughts! I am typically more a technical person, but because of the theme I wanted to try out going more into a graphics focused direction and indeed took a lot of time in the animations (and ultra realistic bubbles simulations) So I'm very glad that this gets noticed  And yeah, hitboxes are often a weak point. I intentionally left them a bit small because sometimes it looked funny when the bears just barely didn't catch it, but I get that this is probably a bit frustrating for the player. Thanks again!
