Wow, I was not expecting this. The way you guys blent the 2d with 3d is super cool. Like, seeing the dices rotates on the shop screen is very nice, because for some reason dices have this weird satisfying feeling on me lol, so I liked it! Btw, it was a very strong ghost, definitely not a cat under some sort of sheet or something, right? xD

I also liked the way we see the sides of the dice on the shop as well, its nice to see that rather than just plain text. Good explaniation as well. Over all, very good job!! I wool-dn't say this is baaaad or something, everything works in a harmony! I wish we also did some proper tutorial in our game, most of the people did not notice they have to press the space bar to summon xD

This is absolutely my jam, and I will be playing this for the rest of the night (or until I have beaten it) - The creature art is great, and I love the chill vibes. I can see exactly what y'all were going for here, and I think the world has room for another dice-based roguelike. I was pleasantly surprised how differently this plays from Dicey Dungeons, based on the name - It's really its own thing!

In terms of constructive feedback, I'm not sure that the mixed media between hand drawn and 3D graphics quite works - I love the hand drawn graphics, but the 3D models don't feel like they fit alongside them. I get that it was probably an efficiency thing for the jam though! :)

Overall, great job - I'm going to go back to saving for another Hugh Bun-Gus

Edit: The more that I play, the one piece of gameplay-related piece of feedback that I have is that it doesn't currently feel like your lineup's order matters right now. Because your back line only attacks after the front line dies, adding something like a sheep to the front of your line doesn't actually tank for your weaker monsters - They still only get one attack in before they're killed.

geekarious-tony 2024-04-16 02:54

Yes! Such a wonderful game! Great job!

dmitry-mozgin 2024-04-16 02:57

Very polished game. Maybe the balance is strange and it is not always clear what to do to win as it is pure luck. The gameplay is casual which I enjoyed. Great entry!

vortexb 2024-04-16 02:59

Wow very cool! Amazing idea and with more balanced enemies and fleshed out mechanics this could be amazing. The art style and themeing is spot on. Reminded me a bunch of Super Auto Pets and Astrea. Great job to your team!

mactinite 2024-04-16 03:02

This is great! Love this take on the auto battler!

ooboob 2024-04-16 03:02

Great game. I like the idea here a lot.

The graphics look good, though, the mixing of 2d and 3d feel a bit out of place. It could definitely have worked, but currently the difference is very obvious, and takes me a bit out of the game.

I thought there were a few unnecessary step when rolling die. Why do I have to click to "grab die"? I feel my hand could just as easily have appeared right after the opponent rolled.

I often couldn't get anything good to buy in the shop with my 30+ bones. I wish I could get a reroll, or maybe spend some bones on upgrades, after I've removed my stuff.

mongoose-59 2024-04-16 03:13

i couldt get it to load T-T

drainkid 2024-04-16 03:41

This is the best game of the jam for me so far!!! I love the art, the music, the atmosphere - and the gameplay is really neat, I like deckbuilding around the dice. I managed to get to the final boss, but just didn't get the rolls I needed. I had a ton of fun nonetheless though, fantastic work!!

lyamgtt 2024-04-16 11:07

The art and graphics are amazing! Love the mechanics as well :) Well done!

momotiktik 2024-04-16 12:20

I genuinely enjoyed your game: loved the cute graphics, gameplay was pretty addictive (though I wasn't able to beat the final (final) round hahah, also liked the music quite a lot! Amazing job, well done!!

atomicptr 2024-04-16 17:03

I clicked on this only for the cute demon but played this a bit longer than i planned to! Good job :)

prepe 2024-04-16 19:34

@atomicptr same here saw the cute pic and stayed/played for the great game. Just a wish from myself make this one a real indie game and sell it, I will defenitly buy.

macbarette 2024-04-16 19:40

It was really fun to play, love that catchy piano music and the art cool too, gg :)

tuna545 2024-04-16 19:41

Very fun and addicting! I really like the mechanics. The graphics look great!

breaddysticks 2024-04-16 19:42

I really love this concept, the randomness adds to the strategy of which dice you need to use and which monster you need to pick. I also like that after every round, the shop is randomized. The demon really stood out for me and was the reason why I wanted to play the game in the first place.

fusionnist 2024-04-17 04:26

Some nice ideas on display here! Great, cute art! Lovely music! The game itself feels good and displays some nice mechanics. I personally found the game too easy to enjoy some of what it had to offer, as I won on the first try after accidentally selling off a bunch of dice... how terrible my woes! :P Great work, congrats!

squidly 2024-04-17 05:12

Very addicting! It's not often you see a dice builder (?) here so I love to see something so polished!

meepster 2024-04-17 09:07

Wow this is a really awesome submission!

This is definitely one of the most fun entries I've played so far. There is a lot of different strategies and choices the player can make.

This means that even though there is randomness in the dice it still felt fair to me and was enjoyable because I got to choose which risks I took.

There is so many different directions you could take your dice builds, do you go for bones or focus on dice rerolls to get lots of dice on the field or try to play strong dice....I could go on and on!

Reminded me super auto pets mixed with a bit of Inscrytpion.

Absolutely loved the 2D/3D art style mix for the game and the sound design was also very charming!

Great work!

rob6566 2024-04-17 12:58

Loved this - really scratched my itch for a dicey deckbuilder!

Some feedback: - Clicking a dice in the shop prompts you to sell a copy, which I think is a bug. - It would be good if the camera was tilted a little higher in battle, so you could see more of the active dice face. - Some enemies don't seem to scale well (eg: I always seem to fight one 2/2 in round 9) - Once, I clicked the enemies dice and they went away. I won, fighting against no dice (I couldn't replicate this) - I liked the ability to sequence your dice and to sell dice. The boss was also a good difficulty.

Nice work making a fun game in such a short time!

pelmanable 2024-04-17 16:23

Good game. As already mentioned - clicking on a dice in the shop shows a prompt to sell, what feels awkward.

Also - I failed at final battle and after restart - sprite of the final boss covered whole screen.

Love art and funny gameplay.

rincs 2024-04-17 16:27

Love the game, and the graphics are so cute! I already spoke my piece as to what to improve so all I'll say is: well done everyone! :D Screenshot 2024-04-18 012644.png

I loved it, one of the most fun games I played so far! The music was wonderful, the dices are all so cool. Great game! Well done!

memnarch 2024-04-18 07:23

This is really good. I liked the art style together with the dice set building mechanic. well done!

sariiger 2024-04-18 07:23

Very cute and fun game! The Axolotl is so precious! Also I'm a sucker for dice games in general.

senso 2024-04-18 09:48

Absolutely enamored with the gameplay experience! It's incredibly soothing and impeccably polished. The way the dice effects are executed adds a delightful touch of finesse to the entire experience.

jvolonte 2024-04-18 11:43

Beautiful spectres designs, I love dice games! Great mood too :)

sodoj 2024-04-18 15:23

Super cool presentation, it's one of the more enjoyable card games/auto battlers I've played this jam. I also loved how even though you lose, you don't go through "game over" moping and doping, but instead you are thrown right back into the shop like nothing happened, I really appreciated that. Since it's a dice rolling game, RNG plays a part in it, which can result into some unfortunate losses, but I feel player has enough control to stack the deck in their favor. Overall, well done!

namnam 2024-04-18 18:46

I finish the game. This is a great game jam game, i can tell that the balance is a a bit off and it lack more choice from the player that really impact the battle (like choosing to relaunch some of the dice or dice that are powerfull but can hurt you) but i feel potential :) Graphics are really cute and music and sound does a beautiful job ! I hope you'll continu this game !

ruslana 2024-04-18 19:38

It's a nice concept. I enjoyed audio and visuals.

The only thing I think would make it better for me effectively is making buttons Buy and To Battle bigger.

Well done!

nsadie 2024-04-18 20:40

I really liked this! Fun gameplay loop and great graphics! The buttons does not really fit with the style of the rest of the game, but otherwise very cool!

smidgens 2024-04-19 09:02

*Spawns a strong chungus*. This was fun. I love this mix between 2D and 3D. Might be interesting if you were penalized in some way for having too many dice in your inventory, or too many of a certain type. As a proof of concept though this is awesome!

andidebob 2024-04-19 18:55

Wow! This was awesome! The only thing I would want to improve is the visibility of which die face you rolled, without having to hover over it. But the mix of Slice and Dice and Super Auto Pets really had me hooked for a while. If you posilish this up and also add an element of adjusting the dice I am sold! Really cool entry! Well done!

amberfall92 2024-04-20 16:40

I really like the character designs, especially the final boss. Holding out the dice and throwing them looks so good and clean, and there was a good amount of polish. The music is also fun and energetic. Really good work all around. My one complaint is that it felt like it didn't matter that much what order I summoned my dice. I think it's so close to being a super fun game, but I mostly experienced the gambling at the start when you pick your dice, but then I wished there was more strategy to the order and choice of summons against your opponent. Still, really well made! Nice work!

ayperosia 2024-04-20 20:18

Really enjoyed this, the visuals are fantastic, the music was really energetic and the gameplay is fairly casual and fun!

fupi 2024-04-21 03:01

Perfect entry. I didn't understand at first what strategy could be made around just throwing dice, but as the game progressed and I unlocked different kinds of summons, it clicked! Even though the battle mechanic is based on luck, the way you build your bag does influence the outcome of your battles significantly. Once I got that, I was immediately hooked.

Beautiful graphics, catchy music, simple controls, this team seriously manages to surprise me every time!

Only thing I could complain about is that... after getting through 10 rounds, losing to the final boss due to, literally, the roll of a die, doesn't feel very nice  Though that only motivated me to try again another time, maybe I should take better advantage of the extra roll dice.

zungryware 2024-04-22 05:49

Very polished entry with some fun ideas. The dice throwing and battling all had great animations and visual design.

I wish the deckbuilding aspect had been expanded upon more since I never felt as though my dice ever synergized with each other. I also didn't bother picking a specific order for my creatures since it never seemed to matter. I mostly just stacked axolotls and deleted my early game dice.

custodi 2024-04-22 16:45

So colorful and pretty graphics, awesome replayability with different dice, thanks for the submission!

kanity 2024-04-22 18:27

Main menu art is ***adorable***! I really love the visual style in game as well. Combination of purple and yellow is so pretty.

The gameplay was chill and relaxing, I kinda got into a groove. Sound of dice was satisfying, too. Though the game felt more like it's luck based?

Totally fair matchup:

And then after these ez matches I get the boss and he destroyed my entire army x)

hilary-fischer 2024-04-23 00:36

Really enjoyed the gameplay & the creatures are so cute! Had a little bit of trouble getting the screen configured to my computer, but it was still really fun!

neontropics 2024-04-24 20:39

The dice and gameplay have a very nice tactile feel to them - the 3d graphics and Inscryption-style feel really help make it more fun.

The gameplay is good but I didn't really figure out when I played a good or bad strategy - I mostly just bought whatever I could afford pretty randomly and then selected everything for battle.

thyoi 2024-04-28 11:36

DiceyDemons.png

This game is impressive. I collected three salamander dice in one game It's a very powerful and very cute demon

peachy 2024-04-29 02:08

@thyoi this is adorable!! Thanks for playing and making this art

peachy 2024-04-29 02:09

@fupi thank you for your kind words! Your doodle brings me much joy :3

rosypenguin 2024-05-02 17:31

Loved it! I had a lot of fun selecting the dice and manipulating the "roll two more dice" to basically guarantee two chunguses for the final battle muahaha
