Pretty hectic, it looks nice, and it's all pretty smooth.
My only criticism would be that prompts should show up only when they can be fulfilled, or a little popup to say what you're doing wrong when you try to douse a fire with no bucket and no water would be great.
But this was a good submission and what was there was done well!

Hugh seems to be an unvolountary sacrifice xD (Not sure if the build is bugged or it's just me but E doesn't do anything).
Cute game, good concept ! Is it normal for the tree to come back and block the river?

This game is very intense!
Controls were unresponsive for me. But great graphics and cool concept!

Visually the game looks nice, I like the lighting and the low poly art look.
I struggled to find out how to put out fires, turns out I missed the bucket but then was unsure how to get water. its then I noticed a puddle and you can also go right to another area. Maybe the player onboarding can be improved with a tutorial or something?
Once I figured out how to play I quite enjoyed running about trying to stop the fires.
Good work!
It was very difficult to understand what to do with chain. And lighting is too dark, I guess :(
Would be cool if there was an option to adjust brightness
took me quite a while to understand what was going on. it felt somewhat counter-intuitive to display the tooltips for actions you couldn't do (needing to fill the bucket before dousing a fire, for example, or figuring out that the connect-chain command required you to grab a chain from the quad (which also took me a while to spot)).
but overall, you can feel a lot of effort went into it, but by the time i managed to feel like i knew what i had to do, and refilled the quad's fuel, everything was burning. :D
nice!

@njs Thanks for trying. I've had problems in the past, but I made sure the game runs. The background music is a little large, so it may be that the game just took long to load. Will have a look into it again. Based on the comments after yours, it looks like it is working.
@falkka and @LeoLFerraz E only works if there is something to do with it. If you are near the bucket, you can press E to pick it up. If you have the bucket and you are near the water, you can press E to fill the bucket with water. You need the bucket to get water (and you need the fuel can to get the fuel). There are messages on screen when you are in range of 'something to do'
@Ghatazorg Yes. The trees 'fall over' and block the river. They come back all the time.
Thank you all for playing
I really like the concept. The game looks great, the music and sfx are on point. The pun with naming the character Hugh was great.
That being said, it has some issues: The quad is hard to see because it's the same color as the trees and a rather indistinct round shape. I got stuck a couple of times moving from screen to screen. I also had some problems with the E button, after a while I just couldn't pick up the gas can anymore.

Great game,funny and good looking, and a few nice interactions fits the theme well! I enjoyed playing it, well done ! :v: After a while Hugh decided it was over and he decided to pour the gasoline in the fire :fire:

@tieran, @yogurtthehorse, @subvertissement and @flying-dog-fish Thank you for playing!
We had plans to have clearer indicators of what to do at all times, but in the end the deadline was looming and we resorting to the less-than-optimal popup messages.

@bixarrio Yup, it was my end, not yours, given it a play now and edited my response. Thanks for the submission, and apologies for the confusion!

@redfog Thank you for playing! I was wondering if someone would attempt to douse the fire with gasoline!

@njs No problem at all. Thank you for coming back and giving it another try

You had me at the title! I liked the concept, and the chain of things that need doing to put out the fire is a cool idea. I had a few issues with interactions, particularly the couple of times when I accidentally left things between screens so maybe a little overlap between camera positions could help? I also had a hard time spotting the interactables, mostly the green quad blended in to the green environment but the bucket and gas can I also found hard to see in dark spots. Not sure if that's just my screen or the web build, but possibly some kind of outline or highlight around those could help in any conditions? I do think the art all looks great despite this, just not super readable.

I liked the atmosphere of the game a lot. It was a bit confusing that button prompts appeared when I couldn't perform that action at the moment. Otherwise, nice work!

@jzucc12 Thanks for playing. We added the prompts to everything to give you an idea of where interactable stuff is but in hindsight we now realize that may have been a mistake
I really like how intense the music sounds for how little we are achieving. But it was neat and the animations were smooth.
As other have said, promps got me a bit confused in the beggining, it you want them to be visible even when not possible to interact with (as a tip), you should consider maybe a dimmer color for those instances, so people know it possible, but not right now.

@chusmimax Thank you for playing and the feedback. We have taken all the feedback and made some changes. A patched version will be available soon

The mechanics of the game were a little hard to grasp at first, but I like how they complement each other. The atmosphere is top-notch, really made me feel like I'm an epic hero trying to save the forest!

@Jozef Thank you for playing!
Really great entry, glad you came to an idea you liked! I loved the towing mechanic, and the concept of a spreading fire and the futile attempts to push it back. Over time it became a slight negative though, as you felt the task was pointless as gameplay wasn't evolving yet you kept losing more and more!

Thanks for playing, @honest-dan. We wanted to increase the intensity but it was something we put on the 'if we have time' pile. And there it stayed.
I really liked the atmosphere, it's a pleasure to run there. But "E" is really sometimes buggy :0

Nice game
Great game! I had some trouble being accurate with the bucket but I had a blast driving the ATV around

Nice game, I really like the idea and the atmosphere! Also the character design is so cute and it looks really nice. The music is epic, it fits the game very well. The sounds are also good, but I felt like some are a bit too loud. Another thing that I think could be improved is adding more visual cues for the player to know what to do. In the beginning, I was just searching for something but I didn't find anything. Only after watching the video two times, I understood that I had to move to the back end of the quad to pull the chain. One other minor thing, the interaction with the objects is sometimes a bit difficult: I had a problem when I tried to get some fuel, the bucket was standing next to it so I always grabbed the bucket instead of filling the fuel can. It would be nice to be able to put objects down and out of your way (hope I didn't miss anything that allows you to do that). Other than that, really a great game!

@lecloow7 Thank you for playing.
@austin-harry Thank you for playing. Glad you enjoyed the ATV. It was one of my big concerns initially because vehicle mechanics aren't always straight forward, but we decided we're not making a racing game and didn't need too much realism, etc.
@janniz Thank you for playing and feedback. The music is epic, indeed, but sadly it is not our own. Maybe in the future we will start making our own music. Some of the sounds came late in development and even though I turned their volume down in-game they are still a little loud. We were planning much better visual cues but time caught up to us and we had to settle for the info message and a 'How to Play' video.
Although it did take me way too long to figure out how to use the bucket, my favourite part of this is the mood it has

It's a very good idea that fits the them really well. I love the graphics, even though they make the game a bit difficult to read at times (I dropped my bucket to grab the fuel canister, and couldn't find it again.) Good job!

@stenblood Thank you for playing
@Gatlink Thank you for playing. The bucket/fuel can swap is indeed flawed. In the early stages you picked up the bucket or fuel can by simply walking over it. We yeeted the item you currently have a little forward to prevent the game from going into an endless cycle of swapping buckets and fuel cans while you are in the detection zone. This stayed after we changed to 'E' to pick it up. We have subsequently changed this to simply swap the item in the post-jam patch, so it's a little easier now.
