Maybe the most inspired and complete compo game I've played so far tonight. Great job! Infinity/infinity difficulty though, haha!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD55 → Tiny Terror: Cradle of Souls

Maybe the most inspired and complete compo game I've played so far tonight. Great job! Infinity/infinity difficulty though, haha!
Cool gameplay, cool graphics, quite addictive - it's a pleasure to play! Collecting several souls at once is a lot of fun
Rob, HOW?
Nice work! Original take on the mechanics, I must say. Something like this could be a fun mobile game!
Really fun game that made you want to run again and again :D One thing I would've wanted was maybe a heads up on where the next spawns would go so that I could strategize a bit more on how to place myself. Thanks for the entry!
Very fun, very tricky little game! Getting the bounce took me really off guard the first time, but the second run when I got one, it was immediately super useful and game changing. There seems to be a lot here, and it's very tough :D Rob is clearly an Elder God, or something.
Love this game! Quick, fun and polished. @mhanicos - There's some gods that increase the number of souls but not the number you need to acquire, making things a lot easier. I did test in beta (byazzle and I worked on our games in the same room), and I think there was a bug with new souls spawning after completing the quota but before a bounce, but I just managed to get another 100+ score.
Loved: - The pantheon of Gods - The feeling of firing my slug - The music! - Gambling on Keeper of the Celestial Labyrinths
At first, I really sucked at this game. Played until I edged onto the leaderboard.
My only note: Add some sort of UI to display bounce count, astral etc, what you have active.
A really really great entry!
Cool game ! Mechanics is simple but interesting ! You even add a leaderboard, impressive !
This one is so funny and addicting to play xD All my life i was dreaming to roleplay as a simple god worm
Hi! incredible game, simple yet engaging, will play a lot more. Nice art and cool mechanics.
Way more fun than I expected! Love the graphics too, especially the summon cards. I keep going one more round and had to make myself stop lol It was so engaging!
I really love that! It wasn't easy, but so addictive
Nice gameplay! Couldn't like any of the gods though  Leaderboard is nice touch, kept me playing for a while!
Great gameplay and visuals but tough! The readability of the some of the informations could be improved and maybe the hitboxes slightly bigger but maybe i just suck ;)
Very fun idea. I definitely felt like my success largely boiled down to the luck of getting a bunch of souls in one line, but I'm not sure there's any way around that.
This was awesome! Level two was pretty difficult for me for some reason but it was a fun learning curve! Audio, graphics, and feel were pretty on point! Well done
Quite cute
very fun and very well done.
love this game, feelings are so good, but I feel so random at game play
Took me a second to understand but really simple and fun. Great job.
Great submission! The leader board does wonders for play time. I wanted to beat that god damn Rob xD But I beat developer and I was contempt.
The game itself is very good, gods are funny. Balance is definitely all over the place - some gods are really good and some are just negative. It does make this game very addictive because you're just hoping for those good gods to appear, works really well for a game jam, but it does reduce the depth of gameplay a bit.
I would say that some descriptions of abilities would be helpful. It took me some time to understand what is Astral Projection - I thought that this purple ball is just visual because it never helps you
There is a bug which I couldn't figure how to reproduce, but I think it has to do with gods which change your soul requirements. When the bug happens you get double the souls spawned without requirements growing - so you have, for example, 8 souls while only 4 are required. So once you pick up those 4 next ones appear so you again have more than you need. I think that's how Rob was able to make this high score, I couldn't use it for a good game myself.
If you want to do some more with this game I think you should definitely explore the possibility of having more souls on the board than requirements, it was definitely more forgiving and included more strategy into how to collect the amount you needed.
After a so many in depth gameplay games in a row, this feels like a breath of fresh air.
Great job. It's addictive.
@vidim888 - Yeah, I did see that bug when I got the high score. Just got 70~, and saw it again. I think it might be caused by specific gods that modify the number of required souls. UPDATE - just happened on the +1 astral projection, -1 bounce god, so I think it might not be related to god.
The bug resets after taking the next god, but in the meantime it's very easy as souls remain between rounds.
From my latest game:
After taking Just Fred (+1 energy, +3 required souls): bug1.png
After taking the one that adds a barrier and reduces required souls by 6: bug2.png
What an interesting game, I also really like this art style!!!
Wow! Simple premise but it pulls you in and grabs you tight. Super fun gameplay loop with incredible art, sound, and humor to support. I'm super impressed - wish there was a system to reward you for completing a harvest with extra energy, though, I guess a lot of that is up to chance so might not be balanced. Great work!
Alright get this bad boy on mobile and you've got yourself a succesfull game haha, well done!
It was a lot of fun, the leaderboard is a great touch to get people like me addicted. As others have said, it's a very very tough game, Obviously there is a lot of skill involved, but it does also feel like your "run" is largely RNG based.
Overall though amazing work. Loved the art, the game design, the controls, everything felt great.
I love deck builders! Happy to see a concept I haven't seen before!
I would like to see more power in the elder gods, maybe I don't fully understand the strategy but it seems most of them are negatives.
I would also like to see less random ball placement. It would be cool if the balls were placed in such a way that I could with good bounces score a bunch of them!
This is the game I've played the most so far in the game jam, well done!
Really cool game here, love the character artwork and descriptions. I wish there was some kind of aiming guide line as I had trouble with my accuracy, I still had a lot of fun though.
I really love that! It wasn’t easy, but so addictive and nice gameplay! good job :)
I really enjoyed the mechanics of it! It was interesting to calculate reflection angles and other things to gather more energy. I would suggest making it so that the player can see the trajectory of a future jump. This mechanic would have added more fanfare. Also, it wasn't entirely clear to me why I was losing. I wish it was clearer in the game itself. It was interesting! :)
Is this a billiards roguelike deckbuilder? Holy wow you have my heart. Gorgeous game and a really cool and pretty balanced upgrade system. I couldn't figure out the astral projection system. I also will not ever pass up Kromberg , or Fred. I think this game will do well :)
I really like the elder gods designs, and now I know hell has at least 18 dimensions
Surprisingly fun. I kept saying I was done playing and I think I played about 10 more games.
The game loop is very addictive. Well done!
Hi! u've made great feeling game. Jump response is juicy. Looks like it could be better with pixel perfect camera
Great game overall! Good screen shake makes the jumps feel really satisfying. It needs a bit of rebalancing in my opinion. Some perks make you way too susceptible to mistakes. Instead of -energy I'd rather go for more functional perks like the wall and bounce. Such perks create more interesting situations in the game.
Despite being a quite simple in core I do like the game cycle. The only problem I've encountered is quite low predictability due to random generation. As a result the puzzling mechanic tho forces you to think every time you jump not working well, because not all levels has a solution at all and you desired to fail.
I'd like to unwrap the game to the fullscreen, because I think those sprites deserves more pixels. And I really wanted elders to be more kinda a thing in the game - they are rather cool.
For a compo entry this one is really good one
The feel of this game is amazing. Very nice job.
