the controls are kinda wonky. feels weird to not move in the direction im pointing.
Very cool aesthetic, and the controls felt like there was a lot of potential. Took quite a while to learn and get used to though. Also I wasn't really sure if my shots were doing anything to the enemy towers until they blew up.
Cool game, I liked the dark mysterious atmosphere of an alien world.
Shooting is always fun, especially when combined with flying. I only wished there were more moving targets and fewer stationary ones. Felt unfair shooting at dummies who can't fight back. 😁
Great job!
@woona: I actually added flying enemies in the last hour before submission, wasn't sure I'll be able to hack something quick enough :D
I like the slyle of the game, something like Descent but in neon stylistics and open world. You wrote about raw enemies but looks like they works fine. the only thing I wanted to modify and improve was controls. You could lock Z-axis rotation via the mouse.
Nice job. Atmosphere is nice. I did have a little trouble controlling as well.
I like style of the game and sounds effect. Also good game feature, but controls are strange.
I was hooked by the gameplay loop, neat art direction and music. Controls are clean. I was just not confortable with the mouse vertical axis (I would have loved to be able to invert it ^^).
Also there is a broken strategy which consist of staying far from towers and destroying them one by one without fear of being target.
As it's quite challenging to aim precisely, I always stopped to aim and shoot. Maybe it could make the game more dynamic to instead having an ability like the missiles in Zone of The Enders 2: if a potential target is near the center of your visor while you hold "fire" button, it's added to the list of targets being locked. And when you release, projectiles are sent on all of the targets. I've seen there were a lock ability with T in the game but I couldn't use it to auto-aim my opponents (my lasers still went in my visor's direction).
There could be a great game experience with some polish.
That said it was a still a cool experience!
@lukuluk: as usual, I took LD as an opportunity/excuse to try a little prototype for a game I'd like to make one day when I'll have enough time to work on it. BTW vertical axis should be available in escape menu, at least in the standalone exe.
cool game, keep up the good work
Nice game. Love this mood)
Very impressive game, especially for the time you could give to it ! Art was nice too :)
I love the aesthetic and ambient music. The game is very forgiving towards people like me who aren't very familiar with 6DOF shooters (perhaps a bit _too_ forgiving). You mentioned in a comment that there's an "invert-y" option on the pause menu, but I couldn't find it, even though I was running the exe version.
@henk when you press escape, there's "invert mouse Y" toggle
@shigor Hmm... here's what I see when I press escape:

Maybe there's something weird with the build I'm using? It could also be my setup. Running games under Wine often does funky things...
@henk my bad - version uploaded directly to LD site doesn't have this setting, it's only on itch, forgot to update LD site, it was addition at the last moment.
Neat. I would have prefered lower health for both me and enemies, but neat game nontheless. Bases can be cheesed by sniping the enemies from far away, bullet decay could solve that.
