I love exploring combinations like this! I'd have loved to see some kind of payoff for discovering certain combinations. Nice graphics!

daandruff 2024-04-15 10:02

A fun little toy to play around with. It would be really fun if the game generated names for the creations based on what parts you've chosen.

josang1567 2024-04-15 10:10

@daandruff I thought it would be better if you could name your creations because in some media, when you summon something you have to name it yourself, plus if you try it on desktop it will create a screenshot of your creation with that name.

sozey 2024-04-15 10:19

That's a really fun generator! I liked giving a name to my creation, here is my favourite so far, Werewolfio!

Werewolf.png

Good job, and awesome pixel art.

widerhold 2024-04-15 10:23

Loved checking out different combinations! The UI is a bit hard to read, but it's a fun entry nonetheless.

josang1567 2024-04-15 10:26

@sozey glad you like it

josang1567 2024-04-15 10:27

@widerhold I'm glad you like it, maybe I should try a lighter red or another font for the text? When I tried the game I didn't see any problems

freamdev 2024-04-15 11:34

I would install this on my phone in a heartbeat to mess around creating creatures while travelling. Great pixel arts and very intresting system with merging them together!

Also: this thing is cursed, kill it with fire!

josang1567 2024-04-15 12:44

@freamdev glad you like it i was gonna make a android build but i run out of time to find how the screenshoot system would work there

jcmonkey 2024-04-15 13:17

interesting game. i bet it was hard making all those drawings for the combinations.

sirjupitron 2024-04-15 14:09

Hi! I wonder how many drawings you did or its built with some form of modular magic. Thanks

josang1567 2024-04-15 15:50

@jcmonkey @sirjupitron I am glad that you both like my sprites, what I have done is use a base template body and make the rest of the bodies based on it, for the combinations what I have done is simply divide the parts into head, eyes, arms, body and legs and have the prefab change them according to the chosen options

manabreak 2024-04-15 16:14

Fun little, err, toy..? Wouldn't call it a game per se, but played around with it a bit. Love the graphics. :)

rakowu 2024-04-15 16:20

Fun but i wish use the created player :D

feynallein 2024-04-15 16:26

The pixel art is great!

josang1567 2024-04-15 16:29

@rakowu That was one of the concepts I was going to do at first, but I didn't have enough time to do it, so I added more ingredients to offer more variety.

josang1567 2024-04-15 16:29

@feynallein glad you like it

ellaris 2024-04-15 16:38

- pretty cool, I liked the monsters - It was a bit short and it would be cool to be able to use the summoned demon in some way, or at least save (I didn't feel like the save button did anything) them and then paste demons from your collection side by side. - It seemed the available ingredients were random, but like there was no purpose to it, only to be annoying, if one wanted to test out a specific combination but was denied by the RNG gods.

josang1567 2024-04-15 16:41

@ellaris the save button only work in the pc version of the game, if you try it, it will save an screenshoot of your creation in your desktop, and yes the ingredients were random since i didn´t had time to add some plaftorm or rpg combat to the game, also they were random so people won´t get bored with the same ingredients all time

ellaris 2024-04-15 16:58

I agree that randomness can encourage variability and encourage the player to try different things, if the parts had associated abilities/stats then people would find the strongest/favorite one and go with that most of the time, so in that case randomness would encourage them to experiment.

In this case the only thing you get is a different visual, and replaying the game one would want to aim for a different visual than than what they already seen before, since a new cool looking monster is the only reward for their choice. But in this case randomness prohibits variety as it could happen that you keep getting the same ingredients often (at least for a specific body part). Having them all listed would also help remembering what we have already seen/chosen before. It also makes it harder to see specific combinations of body parts which one has not seen yet, but wants to.

harmadillo 2024-04-15 17:19

There was a nice variety to the combination. Like the music

iluvatar 2024-04-15 17:20

This is really fun little generator haha. I love the fact that you can name your things. The graphics is really charming and the music is kind of comedic, which IMHO fits the gameplay. Pretty game, one of my favorites so far :) Simple but fun.

josang1567 2024-04-15 17:43

@iluvatar thanks, glad you like it.

myse 2024-04-15 19:01

Very cute, awesome art! It would be nice to see my collection as it grows

commanderstitch 2024-04-16 02:04

Nice sounds, graphics, and it felt like a perfectly normal dungeon summon your creature or character to be or fight with. Nice!

camd67 2024-04-16 03:57

That was a cool creature generator! It would've been nice to do something with them after like watch them roam around a world together doing things.

The song was really fun to listen to!

imbajoe 2024-04-16 03:59

Art is awesome, was fun to compare creations with friends in discord. A little something at the end for gameplay, maybe a code to share with others and then have them battle with random stats would be 5/5

drgcandle 2024-04-16 04:09

Your game's style is truly unique; it's hard to believe this astonishing creation was made in just 48 hours. Seriously, buddy, do you have only one brain? I mean, aren't you one of those geniuses with a bunch of brains or maybe cyborg-enhanced? It's really incredible.

And I absolutely love your puzzle design—the difficulty is spot-on, challenging without being trapping. Your skills are the epitome of mastery, and it's genuinely enviable. Pal, you deserve high praise; I thoroughly enjoy your game and am eager to learn some valuable lessons from you.

olddog 2024-04-16 08:29

love this game idea so much, spent a lot of time to test how much formula this game have

dinoraz 2024-04-17 11:13

Pretty cool! I have made the most horrifying creature of them all: A SKELETON Screenshot 2024-04-17 211246.png

josang1567 2024-04-17 11:28

@dinoraz jajaja that should be an award, its quite hard get the same parts for a full pure creature

dywanix 2024-04-17 12:42

Very cool idea! Exploring all possibilities was really fun

synthol 2024-04-17 19:40

The art looks very nice, nice submission!

designernap 2024-04-17 19:54

This was LOVELY! You had me with the opening music, but the experimentation with each of the characters was cracking fun. Lovely work.

cogcomp 2024-04-17 20:01

The character generation was really well done but some kind of combat or adversary or feedback on the creature created would make it a lot better.

vivid-hallucination 2024-04-18 02:09

Thank you for this opportunity to create horrendous creatures.

🖤

xeltide 2024-04-18 05:42

This is really cute! The quality bar is really good all around. Congrats!

bravelytyped 2024-04-18 05:52

nice pixel art and cute little bgm track! reminds me of one of those old flash character designer games but with a retro feel

k-toll 2024-04-18 09:21

Ahah! Finally a game where I can let my dark inner self express itself... I'm Dr Frankenstein! :)

fatal-exit 2024-04-18 21:32

Nice cool creature designer!

piero-pbes-studio 2024-04-18 21:57

skeleton are the best

patrick-pang 2024-04-19 08:33

I really like this earworm and mesmerizing BGM hahahahaha!

jean-francois 2024-04-19 20:16

Simple, cool game well done :)

chusmimax 2024-04-24 23:25

Cute little game. It does what it promises. I would have loved some easter eggs or special combinations, but it is good enough as it stands.

milq 2024-04-29 21:46

The concept is fantastic! Combining different elements to create your own creature adds a really special touch! Honestly, the possibilities seem endless! Have you calculated them? Because there truly are a lot! The music is cool, and I would have loved to see some combat or interaction involving this creature. Great game!

alezjl 2024-04-30 11:21

Great game, mate!

josang1567 2024-04-30 13:17

@milq If my calculations are correct, you can get 59,049 different combinations with just the 9 types of available ingredients.

negator2vc 2024-05-02 13:03

Interesting jam entry. You can make some really awesome creatures. An autobattler would have been even more awesome using your creations. Unless I missed something it doesn't look like you can use your creations, you can only create them. Still great job.

frozenfire92 2024-05-02 13:39

I really liked this, would have been nice to see them all in the gallery, but only so much time  Keep on making games!

josang1567 2024-05-02 15:07

@frozenfire92 if you play it on desktop you can save them

frozenfire92 2024-05-02 15:12

@josang1567 Ah cool! Unfortunately due to security reasons I only play and rate web games

tod-semple 2024-05-02 15:33

Nice pixel art! That was a fun little creature creation toy. Great job.

zekysky 2024-05-02 15:38

Nice game m8!!. I liked how you can do your combinations. Keep working on this!!

baluj 2024-05-02 15:45

I liked seeing the possible combinations but I feel like something more could have been done with your creation. Anyway, it's a nice game. Good job!

thesmellofoxygen 2024-05-02 21:21

Enjoyable combination exploration. I wish there had been a goal though.

weirdo-studios 2024-05-02 23:45

Cute little game, the combination stuff is really cute. This would be an amazing little mobile game or something similar. It was fun.

animawish 2024-05-03 02:33

Cute and funny! The soundtrack is a banger as well. Nice job!
