Cute! Music turned out well, too! I had some issues with the hit detection on the grasses and flowers when searching, but was able to figure out where to stand eventually.

The writing is really nice in this one, I enjoyed getting a glimpse into the guards personalities and hints at their lives outside of their posts, without it being too wordy. It was a good balance!

Will we be able to revisit swan forest in the future and explore it more? I hope so!

Really enjoyed the music, and even the way silence was used! The little insights into the lives of the guards were nice, but it was the meeting with the king that brought it together for me. I just wish I could search the grass while standing closer to it, took me a little while to figure that one out.

The music is very good but is very tine, could be bigger. The graphics are very good =)

It played like a little children's story book tale, I loved it! <3

Cute story and art style. I found the music a little repetitive and the gameplay was too simple.

The story had heart and was well written. I didn't enjoy having to stand at the exact right position to interact with the grass you could walk through. Other than that I had no issues. I reaaally liked the "you found" sound. It was really enjoyable. Cool game!

I love the gameboyish graphics. Well done.

I liked that all your characters had different speaking tones, so they were easy to tell apart ^_^ the music was good while not being distracting, and the found notification sound fit into it really smoothly.

The story, art style and music, really nice!!!The king theme gives you a sensation of a tense moment, worked well. I played two times to get the 2 possible endings, both have a deep message for the player, I will not say what it is because spoilers hahahaha. Loved the game. Great job!!

Nicely done. Loved the palette you chose for this, the audio and the writing. I love how sweet your games are. Got both endings =]

Very nice polished experience! The graphics and music were really cute and perfectly captured that NES / Gameboy aesthetic that I enjoy a lot. I also like how committed you were to it. For example, the game will never play two sounds at the same time, which I think is a lovely touch, as a lot of old hardware was unable to play multiple sound samples at the same time as well. The sound and music itself, although limited, was catchy and really authentic to 8-bit compositions as well. Even the controls felt genuine, because of their slight (I assume intentional) clunky-ness. Overall, fantastic job on setting a good mood and aesthetic!

Gameplay wise, I also had a good chunk of fun with it for what it was. The actual interactions were really limited (basically walk up to the right thing and press Z), but the good writing and solid narrative kept me hooked. What's more, I think you had just the right length for the limited mechanics, because just as I was about to get bored, you wrapped things up nicely with the ending sequence (I got the good ending and saved Swan Forest btw).

Really, the only issue I had was that the collision detection on the grass was quite awkward. I eventually had to look here in the comments on how to do it. Also, another track for the endings wouldn't go amiss either.

Overall, great job on a very charming entry!

This game looks great, and feels very complete. The game-loop of walking up to things and searching them was simple, and I think the game could have benefited from more variety in its puzzles. However, I enjoyed the story and talking with the king at the end.

I absolutely loved the color palette of this game, everything was so pretty! I had some issues interacting with objects and the loop of finding items for the guards wasn't super engaging for me, but I really appreciated the games aesthetic
