The game is so beautifull but missing instructions. I got awsd but no other key seems to interact with anything. That is too bad because I really like the concept, the art style, the mood. Which I at least scored, but if anyone can tell me what the action key is? And if I'm supposed to push something, the eye character has reverse moveability that I'm not accustomed to.

@mdotedot Hey, I’m sorry to hear that I haven’t made everything clear enough. Try to explore the rooms that are available at first. Other controls are for controlling other spirits that will be summoned later on.

mdotedot 2024-04-15 11:22

@cymusi tanks for responding. If the goal is to make some potions (green purple which are indicated on the left hand side) then the controls WAS are way too difficult for me as a 59 old grandpa .. I would have opted for regular up/down/left/right for that important mechanic. But hey .. it is your game! I hope others will have a better knowledge of the movement that is counter intuitive. (I have seen some other games like boat/submarine do this as well and I hate them as well :D )

Very nice game ! I hade some trouble understanding the keys at first, but when I understood it was easier ! A bit difficult but really cool !

sarah-vasilides 2024-04-15 12:02

Overall the game looks nice. The controls were a bit tricky to get a hang of but after a few minutes I got it. I didn't really understand what the objective, so that could've been explained clearer. A nice experience, I like it :)

The art is nice ! Loved the dark and light concept as well, well done!

tomi-vahamaki 2024-04-15 20:35

It took me a while to find where I was supposed to go and figure things out but it was a cool game once I got the hang of it. The art was really nice and I liked the puzzle design and the way the different spirits played together. It might benefit from a different control scheme and the physics objects were annoying at times. A crate got stuck blocking my way at one point near the end of the game.

owtuvammo 2024-04-15 22:42

It has some nice bits to it, especially the art, but it took me a while to figure out what my goal was and even then, it was a bit tedious to get things done.

Interesting game! Controls felt very sluggish (which is probably fitting, but less enjoyable imo) and handling the physics was a bit of a pain, especially if you can't get behind something to get it away from a wall. Concept was very nice, though! I like the vision system and the visual style of the game is also quite nice. Good job!

The art is fantastic and the searchlight mechanic is very cool!

human-writes-code 2024-04-16 08:40

This is a great looking game and an interesting concept. I tend to agree with some of the other comments regarding the WAS controls but I can also see your intent in making the controls just a little cumbersome - after all, you are just a floating eye trying to push stuff around. Floating eyes are probably not the most nimble things.

The sound was great but I wish there had been a little bit of music to accompany me as I floated about breaking vials.

Overall, good work!

@human-writes-code Thanks for playing <3 I’m also sad that I didn’t get to make some music, I imagined it would play a big role in the game. This jam was really chaotic for me

human-writes-code 2024-04-16 08:59

@cymusi I totally understand. It was a super chaotic jam for me, too. Much more stressful than usual.

mark-swinimer 2024-04-16 15:48

Very solid idea here. I love the simplicity of the main menu and the game itself. I was able to figure out that I should push things around and to drop potions into the pot but unfortunately was stuck. I'm guessing I have to put potions into the pot in order based on that poster? It would have been a perfect aha moment if all you had to do was drop one potion in.

cymusi 2024-04-16 17:22

@mark-swinimer Thanks for checking it out, for the potions, you have to just put the three from the poster, may be you accidentally dropped in another potion?

I completed the game completely! Maybe. I turned on the light and then the game didn’t give any clues. I assumed this was the end.

The game really captivated me, but during the game my brain was breaking down a lot, haha. I understood the intricacies of control after looking at the comments.

The idea is great. It is better not to show all three control sets at the beginning of the game. Showing each of them with the appearance of a new creature will make it clearer. It seems so to me. And we need to somehow mark the ending.

Thank you! I'm very glad I saw this game! The graphics are very nice. Thanks for playing!

I really liked the art and the idea of distinct summons! I sadly got stuck a few too many times. First because I pushed the ladder in such a way that I could no longer go through the door and then again 3 times cause I pushed the required vials too far into a corner. Maybe the controls of the first summon could have been a little more forgiving and the vision a little bigger to ease the players into the experience? Super interesting approach to how to control the different summons.

lenny-rudeberg 2024-04-18 08:08

This puzzle game almost broke my brain, it's like patting your head, rubbing your belly and tapping your feet all at the same time XD. I believe I completed it, all the lights turned on but I could still freely move.

All in all it's a wonderful puzzle game, especially for a solo effort. Great job!

bradur 2024-04-18 09:09

I managed to summon the hand but then didn't get any further. I could not figure out what to do even though I flew around the rooms for 5 minutes. A very frustrating experience. It's an interesting idea but the game should have more hints, maybe an optional guide?

This game was quite a journey to play. I felt like I was colourblind for the first time in my life because summoning the hand requiring different shades of blue/purple +making it confusing when you didn't really know what the feedback for right/wrong would be. And when finally actually getting the correct potions, being soft locked behind the ladder. Atleast this time I knew which shade of blue that was the correct one and kept my eyes open for more softlocks (felt like there was one available with the boxes as well).

However, the game's great atmosphere kept me playing. After the light turned on, I guess I won? Was Isaac deaf as well or did I miss to get a record to play as well? Overall, a great game regardless of the soft locks and my issues with the colours and it surely fits the theme. Good job!

That was a really tough game but had some really clever designs in it. At first I was pretty confused what to do. I thought the idea of hiding the recipes was really cool in theory, but I could see it being really frustrating if you didn't know to look for that. Maybe a scripted event of like a lightbulb coming on to illuminate the area could help point players in the right direction?

Once I got to all 3 things to play as my brain was struggling to move everything at the same time (in a fun way imo). Having each thing contribute a different skill to the puzzle solving was really cool! Really quality puzzle game created in a short time!

digitaliliad 2024-04-20 17:15

Really hard to figure out what's going on, but I summoned the hand and got the door open at least. I really do like the art of this. Isaac's design is especially cute. I'm sure you wanted the player to figure things out on their own, but a little more hand-holding may have been warranted. Still, it's a real accomplishment to put all of this together in just 48-hours!

paul-maaswinkel 2024-04-20 19:36

Great concept and puzzle! Loved the unlocking one by one. Good atmosphere
