Ohh wow, if this is cubicle life I don't want it! So many interruptions!

grentacular 2017-12-07 12:21

Not sure if this is just on my end, but the game seems to be freezing for me periodically. I'll get through two or three conversations, the person I'm talking to will leave, and then no one else will show up. Am I missing something?

playball 2017-12-07 12:24

Hello, @grentacular, inbetween bosses visiting you should hear the noise of typing and should see the work bar go up. This indicates how well you've done basically, the less the bar increases the less work you had to do. The new boss will only show up when your 'work' is done, which takes a few seconds at most.

If you're having any freezes outside of this i'm not sure what it could be

edit: itch.io is also having issues right now it seems, maybe that could be related?

grentacular 2017-12-07 12:52

@playball Yeah, the typing happens in between bosses normally, but when the game "freezes" I don't hear anything. If itch.io is having issues I might just try again later. Shame, I liked the conversations I was able to have! Hope it gets resolved!

not my usual type of game, i was more focused on ending conversations asap :P I really liked the character designs though with their cool pixel art and goofy animations. The overall simplistic design worked well and if i was less socially anxious i would have probably played through a few more times

I really liked the mumbling sounds when talking with people and the animations they have when they arrive at your cubicle. Could have used an elevator music style background tune :).

The intro text needs padding, at present it's very hard to read because it's so wide.

I had some trouble understanding how I was supposed to "win" in the game. Was I supposed to insult the people to end the conversations quickly? Well I tried it both ways and I don't think I had a big difference to my ending score.

The game has an interesting take on the theme, and I really liked the mood. It sometimes hit too close to home :P. Well done!
