The tune got really grating quickly and I just couldn't get the rhythm down. Maybe it's just me though?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD43 → sacrifAce must be made

The rhythm combat was fun and the way the game moved forward with the dialogue was something that's pretty uncommon in LD. The game does lack depth and content but it's a solid start.
Kind of.. strange? Gameplay is a little difficult, until you realize that you're supposed to press space on the last three notes. And if you hit early, it doesn't complain. Also it doesn't explain that hitting left is no and right is accept sacrifice (kind of hard to tell). Its an ok game.
i'm not sure if i completely get it.. :D nice work with first-time pixel art though!
Good presentation on the intro and the tutorial. I got End3 for 115 points. By the way, the rhythm of this game remind me something. When I was a child the vendor for sharpen the knife or scissor attract the crowd like this. Same rhythm and the melody.
That's a lot of story! Interesting way to carry the game.
An interesting concept for sure. Feedback: Choose a single input and stick with it. I had to click, hit space, and hit enter all in a single input game. It was confusing every time. It also took me a while to understand what was actually going on.
I like the idea of the game and the approach, the dialogue-based introduction was really good and I enjoyed it a lot, however the gameplay was a bit confusing and it took me a while to understand. Also after beating the first enemy the game froze, or at least I could not figure out how to continue from there.
Still, I really liked the mood of the game and with a bit more polish and time you definitely would have something good going!
Nice game! I liked the art, and the different paths though I didn't have to sacrifice at all during my first try. I did notice you must press the spacebar slightly after the light shows, rather than on the dot, which is quite frustrating xD Well done!
Very innovative, although a bit difficult.
