WOW! Super cool perspective and I love the treasure collecting. Overall really fun
Great polished experience with superb artstyle and cool music!
Cool music and sounds but the perspective was supper difficult to follow for a platformer for this. I liked the transparent effects for objects close to camera and the graphics were pretty nice. I suppose the odd perspective wasn't too bad because the game wasn't too hard.
Very nice level of polish!
Even though the surprising flatness of the character was funny, I'm not sure the added axis is improving the game overall.
Love the paper mario style character, really pretty game overall + fantastic soundtrack
Nice game but the camera is kinda sloppy
great look and sound and I like the flat character in a 3D world. Jumping felt good. Nice!
Nice game, the perspective was interesting and the graphics and music set the right mood! When I arrived at the chest area, it took me a bit to realize that the treasure is already around, and that you couldn't open the chest (despite trying). I also realized only at the end that you can jump (I skimmed through instructions, and even though I saw you could, I forgot). The game is pretty interesting to beat with only dash and move :).
Well done overall!
The perspective effect is very good, it remember me paper mario, i think you need to make the shadow of the character more darker because its maybe difficult to see if i'm in face on the platform in jumping phase. That's very interesting interpretation of the theme and the ancient egypt mood is perfect ! Good work !
webgl build didnt work for me and crashed when i hit start :<
The concept was interesting, but I had a lot of trouble to have a sense of perspective and depth (the irony, with that theme ^^). I missed a lot of platforms due to that ^^'. Maybe a not perfectly 90° camera would help ?
Otherwise, that was a nice little game ! That 2D sprite in a 3D environment was really funny =) !
The perspective was a bit odd and made some jumps quite hard to judge, but I liked it. The graphics and audio were great. The 2D sprite in 3D was odd but cool. Overall great game!
Nice game with great mood and audio. However, in my opinion camera perspective should be different. It can be hard to see where the player really is. Overall it is really nice. :D
at first i thought it was a bit strange the way the game looked but it grew on me. it ended up having a good flow and i really liked picking up the treasure and having it drop into my storage. thanks for making this game.
Really good atmosphere and audio. The use of 2d/3d character art was pretty interesting. I did find the perspective hard to tell where the player was. Perhaps moving the light source to either be offset from the player in the Z plane or using stationary torches for lighting instead would give a more obvious shadow and help orient the depth correctly. Very cool effort though with lots of atmosphere and style!
The audio and artwork match well together. The 2d character in a 3d world is interesting, but I felt a little lost on the game map.
Nice music! Pillar foreground transparency was a nice touch. The kinetic UI was very "Kingdom", which I love, especially the last one 😆. The 2.5D character is really nice.
Platforming with a character that is visually floating was tricky, but achievable.
Nice work 👍.
The music and art are well designed! I really liked the sound effect for when you collected something! The 2.5D looking character caught me off guard but it was grew on me. Anubis is very cute! While the camera could be a little higher of an angle (so I could see where I was going), I got used to it! Reminded me a lot like Paper Mario! If you ever come back to this concept, I think using the camera angle you have to put corridors that lead offscreen and to the camera would be a good idea!
Good job!
Thank you everyone for the kind words and feedback. We have addressed many of the issues raised here (particularly with regards to the camera angle, camera follow, and player movement/shadow), so we will be posting an updated version in the near future.
The biggest issue I've noticed is that pressing up / down moves the player left or right sometimes. It makes it a bit frustrating. Depth perception is a bit rough too.
I really like the artwork though- the depiction of Anubis as a chibi anime-lookin' character is pretty great. Nice work!
@100th-coin Thanks for the feedback! The side-to-side slide when moving vertically is definitely annoying. It has been fixed, but we're still making some other improvements before posting an update. For the depth perception we've raised the camera height, locked the camera on the z-plane (so it only follows side-to-side/up and down), and added a circular shadow directly beneath the player to indicate their position in space.
