Fantastic game! Really enjoyed playing it and the challenge felt like it increased at a fast but fair rate. I really enjoyed the concept and the gameplay was clean and fluid!

Fantastic game! Really enjoyed playing it and the challenge felt like it increased at a fast but fair rate. I really enjoyed the concept and the gameplay was clean and fluid!
Nice work, I'm impressed how you managed to make those bugs so damn small yet still easy to spot and take out :)
This is really fun and super impressive! The bugs could be hard to see at times, but having them wiggle around definitely helps.
I like the concept, and this was a fun game! Third map is pretty challenging considering its size, but not too difficult. Sometimes it felt like the inspectors find the bugs while they're off-screen, haha.
Wow, great artwork! Coherent and detailed while remaining very readable! Amazing work for just 2 days on art alone! The insects' animations are fantastic as everyone else mentioned and I personally really like the stomping animation.
I wish there were more mechanics as the levels went on - I think the game was a bit too long for the amount of variation. What was there was fun though - enjoyed stomping my way around. Especially right in front of inspectors' faces once they gave me a penalty anyways and had a cooldown. 😁
Great work, looking forward to see more from you!
Great art work with level creation! Like this simple mechanic, when you need to rid of bugs. Sometimes bugs spawned near the inspector, but it is okay.
Such a nice concept! It was a bit difficult to move from one room to another, but quite nice concept, and the graphs are quite funny!
It is quite hard to predict where the inspector will search next, this makes the experience even more real and funny, well done!
Really fun game! Loved the concept and art. I was stressed trying to kill the bugs before the inspector saw them. I didn't have any sound though, not sure if that's a bug or if there just isn't any yet. Great job!
It's a simple but a fun game at the same time. And imho that's how all Ludum Dare games should be. Gameplay is smooth and straight to the point, movement and reaction time is great too. Art is very nice, it's just a shame there is no sound. But it's COMPO so I don't even consider this as a negative. Well done.
Cool and original concept! had issues walking through rooms, i'd suggest making the door a little wider. Great job overall!
Interesting idea! I enjoyed it
cool concept! love the art style! had me feeling itchy 😅 very nice job
Sometimes bugs spawn near an inspector and I has not enough time to smash bugs
🌟 Great game with an original concept! I really liked the mechanics and the purity of the gameplay. The graphics are really impressive and detailed, and the insect animations are just great! 🐞
The game gets more and more difficult, but it remains fair and interesting. Sometimes it was hard to move between rooms - maybe it would be worth making the doors wider to make it easier.I had a great time! 🎉👏
Good idea and execution. Fits the theme well. Art looks good and controls are simple. I feel having couple sound effects would improve the game quite a bit. Would make it more interesting when you can also hear things happening.
Good work!
Cool idea! Super!
Great idea for a game, really like the fact that you have to clear the bugs without being seen! Gets quite difficult when there are multiple inspectors, and it can sometimes be hard to see the bugs on some tiles. Great fun to play, good job!
If you told me a stealth game about stomping bugs would be one of the most fun games I'd be playing today I'd say you were playing but man oh man am I surprised! Great game all around!
The art amazing and it took me 3 levels to actually realize you don't have animation for walking, and it is all ok!
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the kind words and suggestions, really happy to read all of your comments - getting Feedback on your game is the most rewarding part about every Ludum Dare for me =)

Funny concept with this theme ! Wish the stomping action was more "juicy" animation-wise
Fun game and very cool art! Great work on your submission.
The game was fun! There was something really satisfying about running around the house squishing tiny bugs. I loved the screen shake every time I stomped, it's such a simple and effective visual device.
Cool twist on a stealth game!
Simple and effective! Love this particular style of pixel art.
The level design / building art was really cool, but the lack of sound hurt the game a bit. Sometimes bugs could be squashed right next to the inspector, and he wouldn't notice which was quite funny. However, this was your first entry and this is really really solid. Congrats on the entry!
Stomping bugs is fun. All the little indicators and icons really help what's going on. However I didn't understand how many bugs actually do upset an inspector. I kept panicking when a bug spawned right inside the next destination of the inspector with no chance of me stomping them beforehand.
Very impressive for a Compo game!
I especially love the extra thought that went into the gameplay feedback, such as when you're "done" squashing a pile of bugs and the eyeball indicator that let's you know when the inspector can see you.
Would love to see a version of this with some kind of audio, even if it's just mouth sounds for when the bugs get squished or some general mumblings or vocalizations as the inspector walks around
Fun concept! I would love a way to lure the inspector away from areas!
Wait, what's the inspector doing when the bugs are just crawling around?! :p That was the most hilarious thing for me, just standing there and staring at the inspector while the bugs are just having a party. Also just being like "shoo inspector, it's bug crushing time."
This is such a funny concept for a game, and I even liked how I could leave the BnB (but wished there was more to see in the world!). I wished you could have had some sound effects and music in this! I think it would have added a lot of depth and even more humor - but I totally get that you had to work under compo limits!
Overall, well done and a very fun entry.
The art is seriously so well done I really like the aesthetic. I think the bugs spawning everywhere was very annoying, I thought I had finished with a room and the inspector had a bug spawn right under his nose 😅. I guess you need to walk ahead of the inspector and stomp any bugs you see.
