Wasn't able to play it because I didn't have the bit OS it needed.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → Moon Muenster

Wasn't able to play it because I didn't have the bit OS it needed.
Took me a while to understand the controls :/
Why did you remove the graphics category? I thought they were pretty good!
Could not figure out the controls. Looked interesting, but was not able to do anything.
Please post the controls here in the description!
OberynMartell; I removed the graphics category because it would because I did not personally work on much of the graphics. I purchased 3D assets from TurboSquid.
Interesting concept! It took me a bit to get a hang of the controls though. It'd also be nice if there was a way to see which crate/weapon was selected.
It made me laugh that the astronauts will jump into the ammunition of your loaded weapons, making your weapons more effective when you don't shoot. :P
The backstory made me chuckle and the aesthetics were neat! I'm interested to see the final product. :)
The controls were very hard to grasp, but this game had lots of different things going on. The Plants Versus Zombies-esque feel was quite cool!
Nice one!
I really tried figuring out how to shoot the cannons.
Clicking on the cannon/crate doesn't give any feedback as to if the cannon has been selected. I'm not sure how to select a cheese weapon, is it by selecting the boxes at the top ? After selecting one of the boxes at the top I press space and then nothing happens. Have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCSXEKHL6fc This is by far the weirdest game I'v played. Well done :P
bradur, yeah Plants vs Zombies is the feel I was shooting for. Thanks for playing.
Reyn. Yes, to select a cheese weapon you would select it from the weapons panel on top, but it cannot be greyed out. Then click the build button on the right. Hovering over that button should reveal which crate the weapon will be placed in. To select a different crate just hover and click over the crate or cannon. Thanks for playing.
Same as everyone else, I had a hard time figuring out the controls. I think this could be fixed with a quick re-write up of your LD description. The part I found hard figuring out was that I had to select the cannon, select the weapon, and THEN hit the start button to set them up. The start button part was the part that lost me. I thought it was just the button for starting the game. I was also confused when I lost my start button and had to collect more energy to get it back. That threw me off. The games actually pretty fun once you get the hang of the controls.
Was a little hard to figure out at first, but got that soon enough, the controls need a little fine tuning as to not feel so clunky.
However really good game well done.
Looked very nice! Was quite confused, had a hard time trying to figure out the controls... A shame, as the game seems very interesting!
I worked on the controls a bit. Hoping some of you would try it again. I added a feature; when you're pacing lieutenant warns you of an approaching enemy ship, you'll be asked if you want him to ready the cannon. Clicking on the speech bubble will mount a new weapon onto the cannon.
The game ran slow for me, but I loved the funny little dancing aliens! The concept was funny and execution seemed like it worked but again, hard for me to tell because of how slow it ran.
This was great once I figured out how to play.
I only played till day 4, I don't if it's infinite or not.
the controls seem a bit convoluted, so I didn't really get how to play, but the whole thing looks like a 90's music video, there are even funny dances, and then space suit guys come in and jump around! So I actually just enjoyed watching the whole thing over a few loops XD
It's a good game, but it takes long to figure out what to do. When I finally understood it I had good fun with it. It's a pity I cant rate the graphics and music, maybe the models are not yours but the setup is cool!
@bigbuggames; the graphics are 3d models from turbosquid and the music I still need to credit to the original composer. I didn't think it would be fair to add those categories when they actually reflect the efforts of others. Thanks for playing. I'm still working on making the controls easier to understand.
Hard to get it at first while it is a bit slow paced but it reminds me some old school game that I quite enjoyed that time.
It needs maybe some explanation and clicking those energy balls gets annoying in the long run. I was thinking when the others would help me out :)
But i think it is ambitious and needs more polishing.
It was nice and i can lots of effort into it.
Some automation would have been nice too.
Keep up!
Wow... Simple yet funny gameplay. But.. That art! :D I never seen something like that! Great work!
this so weird but also fun at the same time!
I've made the controls a little more intuitive. For those who had a hard time playing it the first time around, please try again with the new controls and let me know if it's better. Thanks.
