Simply incredible! You've managed to make a game with arcade gameplay feel sensational. My congratulations, the scene when the dam bursts is heartbreaking.
The art, music and playability, all working perfectly.

Had a lot of fun with this one the whole Idea and theme fits really well and the music and art makes it all come together, with a nice tutorial at the star, simple yet effective only thing that got me was the movement slow really kicks you as ontop of more holes and less wood the slow kind of kicks you when down, still well done
Gosh, if all those people would actually help out, we might all have been okay!
Really like the feel of your art. The aesthetic just fits the gameplay very well. Great job on the awesome game!
Wow. The art, the colors, the audio, the simple but fun gameplay. Absolutely crushed it with this entry. Great work.
Lovely graphics and game play.. really nice mood in the game. if only some of the people escaping could have helped out ;)
Unfortunately you're the only one for miles who's a trained carpenter. Everyone else would probably just get their arms cut off or worse!
Cool game
Wow, this was really great! It got surprisingly tense as the downfall reached 100%, in my best run I saved 152 villagers. Really smooth animations and fittingly mellow music too. Nice job!
Really smooth game! I love the simple instruction screen, the great pixel art - gives a really good atmosphere to the game! And also the soundtrack is beautiful! Very well executed! I had a blast playing it!
Very cool game. Really like the aesthetic. The art and music go really well together. Enjoyed the experience :)
Really well done game. Even as a "beat your high score" type of game, it still tells a story fitting for the theme. The visuals and audio work great together to set the mood. Overall a solid entry.
Really like the idea, and your take on the theme, it had a nice aesthetic and great mood. i manage to save 69 villagers :)
Awesome, love the arcade feel and the pixel art! It's begging for a tech tree with upgrades :)
I really liked this game. Everything about how it's designed is efficient and effective, and all the elements work well together, especially the way the style of art and music match the mood of the game.
Also, this is nothing to do with the quality of the game -- it looks great -- but I feel like I should point out that godot has a `BitmapFont` class, so you can create a font resource from an image and set that as the font for the engine's built-in UI system. What you have works fine, and coding it was probably quicker than learning the godot `BitmapFont` API, but it might save you some time in future!
Anyway, you did a great job with this game.
@squimmy thanks for the tip! Yeah, when the clock is ticking sometimes it's easier to use the hacks you know than to try to find the "right" way to do things. I'll take a look at the Bitmapfont class, I'm always down to expand my knowledge base and no doubt it'll be useful in the future. Thanks!
Really cool game! Graphics are great and nice idea! Not something I have seen yet and you can feel the weight of the items each time you move one! Great job!
Great art style! Really satisfying game to play. I got 67 people saved.
Of course. I'm working and every one else is running away. Typical :P
Loved the somber feeling in this game. Everything feels hard to do because the movement is so slow and the rain & lighting gives a hopeless feeling. It's all very fitting. Nice one.
Solid game! The art is cohesive and the music works well with the game; I like to imagine the arpeggios as raindrops. The rate at which cracks appear and develop is pretty balanced, making me want to come back to improve my score. If anything, sound effects would go a long way, like a light rain ambience and sounds each time you move something. Also, the water may slow you too much, as I always get to a point where I don't have time to saw more wood pretty early on. That being said, my highscore is 119 which is below a bunch of the people here, so what do I know? Good work.
@duckwings there really should be sound effects, were you not able to hear them?
@captaincarrot I just played it again and realized there are very obvious sound effects. I guess I was too focused trying to save everyone to notice them :)
I love it! The game has some very nice sound and graphics and nails the inevitable disaster feeling right on the head
