Congratulations on finishing your first game! That alone is an huge accomplishment. The game itself is pretty easy to learn, good job on explaining it very briefly in the main menu. The amount of goblins at the start is a little overwhelming especially for people playing this for the first time, other than that, great work.

The movement & trap placement felt a little odd at first but I managed to get the hang of it eventually. Would have been cool to have a shop from which you could buy a faster pickaxe for example with the gold. That the goblins have spawners underground as well was a nice touch. The mood of the game really suffers from lack of audio. A solid little mining game.
A VERY INTERESTING CONCEPT. AS IT STANDS, THE GAME IS QUITE SIMPLE; I WAS ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY FLEE MY GOBLIN PURSUERS AND ESCAPE INTO THE EARTH, AFTER WHICH, THE GOBLIN'S LOST MY SCENT AND I WAS FREE TO PLUNDER THE GAIA'S RICHES. I BELIEVE WITH SOME MORE TIME THIS WOULD MAKE FOR AN ENTERTAINING ARCADE GAME. GOOD JOB. P.S KILLING GOBLINS SHOULD CAUSE THE PLAYER TO LOSE GOLD, AS THEY MUST PAY REPARATIONS TO THE DECEASED GOBLIN'S WIDOW(S).
For a first game this is great! You should definitely continue making games!

Very fun game ! It's funny how when you see goblins, trying to dig down to flee is the first thing you think of doing
Well done! When I was playing this game remind me about another wonderful game called 'No heroes allowed'(was released years ago on PSP)
Fun little mining game. I also found it pretty easy to evade the zombies once I got the hang of it, I always used the spikes. A little balance and I think it'd be a lot of fun!
I made it to the infinite blackness at the bottom. Congratulations on your first game!

Nice job on finishing your first gamejam! The game was quite fun and I did not encounter any bugs! For your next entry I would suggest looking into adding sound (either using a generator software like sfxr or downloading free sound assets) as it adds a _lot_ to the feel of the game! Anyway, keep it up and hope you continue joining game jams!
Congrats on your first gamejam! Your game turned out really well, I hope you participate in more of them!

@sodaro I definitely need to spend some time on audio :) Tried to push out a soundtrack at 2am right before the deadline but was just too tired  I think rewriting the whole movement script at midnight and then using the old one anyways was a mistake

@oligue hahah I feel that, definitely done the same
First of all, nice opening page here on this site, short enough and no unnecessary reading :) What stood out most to me was the fact, that the goblins don't just follow your path, they may try to take shortcuts by digging a path themselves. These shortcuts weren't really faster, so I tried to dig U-shapes in order for the goblins to begin digging the slower path. That made the game way more interesting that it could have been.
I think the game would be better of with keyboard controls, especially placing those traps. Also took some time for me to understand, that I can dig a few blocks with a single click.
Nice entry for your first game here, and hey.. welcome :D
Congrats on finishing your first jam! This was a great start. I think a little juice (music, six, particles) would have made the breaking feel more satisfying but even on my fourth(?) jam sometime that stuff gets left on the cutting room floor :-). I think a little balancing and some juice would really make this shine.

Well done for your first game! Theres obviously a lot of room for improvement but it is an accomplishment nonetheless.
Excellent job on your first gamejam! sometimes the goblins would kill me just being near me but round a corner but other than that a well made game :) It'd have been nice if I could hold the mouse down instead of having to click a lot to break the blocks!

Two things to comment about here, the first one is that you need to change the game so you don't have to constantly click. The other one was mentioned just above me, but adding on to that, it happens if they step on a trap and die while being near you, you take damage.

It's quite fun! It's different from Terraria and clones because you have to be very strategic about the way you dig. I had quite a few goes trying to come up with a decent strategy and eventually it all kind of clicked and I managed to get 84. I never really figured out the difference between traps 2 and 3? And sometimes the goblins would overlap each other and I'd think there's only one goblin and... suddenly my lives went from 4 to 0. Could really do with audio.
@bytinggames: Turns out you can place traps with the keyboard.

I liked much that i understood everything from the starting screen easily. It is quite enjoyable and i managed to get 16 points, is this a good score? Btw i would play longer if i could dig by just holding left click instead of clicking constantly. Cool and solid entry, well done :)

Thanks for the nice feedback :) I totally agree on the audio and visual feedback. This is something I need to "dig in" more since I am more a programmer. I will definitely implement Keyboard and holding the mouse button down to dig in a post-LD Version. @reheated @thedarkmagi The overlapping of the goblins and collision around the corner was something I tried to fix on the last day at midnight . The overlapping is better than it was in the beginning but I didnt manage to fix it entirely. @reheated First of all great score!. My highscore is like 40 or something. The second trap was first a damage over time trap, that could poison multiple goblins on impact. But once I got to the deadline I had to just make it a stronger spike (can kill more goblins until it gets destroyed). I want to add some more traps and variety to the post-LD version.
