Wow... You kicked it ! Graphics are amazing, music too...

I found it hard but liked to try again pretty much :)

Well done on gravity and momentum physics !

bezedh 2023-05-02 12:49

I wish there was no black filter on the death screen to at least have the opportunity to admire the planets after crashing on them :D fun gameplay once you get started! The camera could have been a little further from the ship!

grizwhirl 2023-05-02 14:15

Really impressed with the visual and audio quality accomplished in the time limit.

steven-c 2023-05-02 14:15

It won't load for me.

retrific 2023-05-02 14:17

Very cool! Reminds me a lot of my own game lol. We basically had the same idea, just that yours has way more pixelse and a tutorial haha. Very solid execution! Love the thruster visuals! One thing I wouldve liked to see is a more dynamic camera though. I wouldve used this as a reference if I had known about it.

perrin 2023-05-02 14:20

The graphics for the planets are really high quality

maskrosen 2023-05-02 14:20

Really impressive work! The graphics looks really good and the game was fun as well. A little bit more work on the controls vs the gravity of the planets and this would be even better.

rjdrag 2023-05-02 14:20

Nice work! It's a pretty polished gravity well experience with decent graphics, intuitive controls, and is totally on theme. For some reason I wanted the packages to come out of the back of the ship. Like approach strong, spin around, and start slowing your approach, and launch out the box. Anyway, great work.

jaxah 2023-05-02 14:21

A beautiful game! It's amazing what you can do in 3 days! I find the orbital mechanics are a bit weird and causes the game to be harder than what it should be, but well done on this!

moonblast 2023-05-02 14:22

The graphics are cool and challenging to play with, restoring the feeling of weightlessness

klausklapper 2023-05-02 14:22

I love the art style, the concept of orbital physics is always fun as well, but I didn't find it particularly engaging after five minutes - maybe adding an upgrade system and more obstacles on the way might be a good idea?

Very polished though, great job in general!

fgkeiji 2023-05-02 14:29

Well done on the graphics and VFX on the thrusters. The controls were challenging, but it was a fun process to understand them and then try to put it all together to deliver packages.

thomas-karcher 2023-05-02 14:47

I was very impressed about the graphics you managed to create within three days. After seeing you created them with MidJourney I was torn between "Isn't that cheating?" and "Well, it's just another tool. No rule was broken, and the result is impressive." Eventually, I went with "Impressive!" and gave you the full points for the graphics. Regarding the other aspects: I definitely had fun playing it and think it has a lot of potential for future developments: Ship upgrades, missions with time constraints, pirates trying to loot you... Nice work!

emaigualmc2-art 2023-05-02 15:27

Beautiful art! I find it incredible that they were able to achieve all this in a few days, excellent work. It cost me a lot to be able to play, my ship really passed by in the orbits and could not reach the objective, however I enjoyed it a lot. good job! xD

bmanstudio 2023-05-02 15:50

Thank you so much to everyone who played, rated and commented our game! We're so grateful for your feedback, and glad to see many of you are enjoying it and having fun! <3

You gave us many great ideas for improvements (many were already on our roadmap haha) and we'll do our best to keep improving and uploading updates in the upcoming days and weeks.

I’ve just uploaded V1.1 with a few bug fixes and small changes to the game, here’s the change list for V1.1:

- Fixed score and packages delivered bug after “Try Again” - Made the game-over overlay more transparent ( @bezedh requested :D ) - Made the packages sound spatial (the volume depends on distance) - A bit more audio mixing tweakings - Fixed typo in credits (word Music) - Fixed the mistake in the controls panel (the imaged showed the X button on the gamepad, instead of A) - Disabled player controls after the game over - Delivery planets are now being picked randomly, for a non-consistent game each time :)

Thanks again for your support and feedback! Please keep sharing your thoughts with us

@steven-c Please contact me via DM, I would love to try and help! it seems like it's working for other people

kristallllllik 2023-05-02 20:13

Cool graphics. I really like the spaceship!

drazil100 2023-05-02 20:23

I like the general idea of this game however it takes way too much time to turn around. While I understood how to deliver packages I couldn't land them in their zones. I ended up crashing into the planet pretty much every time. Having x be the drop button was also a little awkward to reach. Also there didn't seem to be any indication of how fast you are moving with the space background so sometimes I would be approaching way too fast.

The art was fantastic though and I really think with some additional polish that I would really enjoy playing this. It's just too difficult for me as it is.

bmanstudio 2023-05-02 20:44

@drazil100 Thank you so much for the comment! We would add your suggestions to the roadmap and hopefully get to it in the upcoming days, I'll post a comment once an update is out :)

thunderchief 2023-05-02 21:30

Amazing game ! The gravity wells feel real, along with the controls of the spacecraft makes for an awesome - also very hard- experience ! The graphics are top notch, audio as well !great Work !

bmanstudio 2023-05-02 21:38

@thunderchief Thank you so much! yea, it seems like it's even too hard for many people, would try to ease-it-up a bit tomorrow and upload a new version with hopefully a less steep learning curve :) Cheers

nox282 2023-05-02 21:44

I really like the concept, especially as a space nerd. The fact that you can actually use gravity to catapult yourself to other planets with minimal fuel usage is awesome! One bit of feedback: I feel that the camera doesn't allow you to plan your route accordingly. Maybe I'm not playing the game the way it was intended, but with the speeds you can achieve, you can very easily catapult yourself on a planet. I wish you could zoom out to try and aim for your destination's orbit.

Awesome game!

bmanstudio 2023-05-02 21:50

@nox282 Thank you so much for the kind words and the feedback! great idea with the zomming out, I would add that to the roadmap! Also, perhaps giving more "lookahead" with the camera for the player's velocity direction is a good idea too :) Thanks again!

bashem 2023-05-02 21:51

Thanks for commenting our game! We'd like to try yours but the WebGL version gives us this error:

"Unable to parse Build/V1.1.framework.js.br! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: br" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug."

FYI We had the same issue and solved it by disabling Project settings -> Player -> Publishing settings -> Compression format

We'll come back later and try again.

bmanstudio 2023-05-02 21:56

@bashem Hey thanks for commenting and letting us know! Honestly, I'm not sure what to say as it's working for me both on my Windows and Mac (M1) machines, also it seems like many people was able to play it, I guess most did using the WebGL version. If you tried the Ludum Dare share (this page), you can also try the itch.io version here >> https://bmanstudio.itch.io/orbit-express-ld53

cody-holt 2023-05-02 22:16

It's pretty tough. Takes a long time to turn around and by the time you see a planet it could be too late. I think the UI could be made smaller or more compact. I would like to see maybe a distance number towards the target planet, or make the arrow pointing to the planet get smaller/bigger as the player gets closer. A couple of times I made it into the red zone of a planet only to be stuck in it and unable to fly out.

ramonvicious 2023-05-02 22:20

Very good looking graphics and nice music. But gravity seems works unproper, I was trying hard but didn't catch how it works. Overall - nice idea and nice realization (almost). :)

weirdbitgames 2023-05-02 23:24

This game's design is really slick and so, so well drawn! Despite repeated attempts I never managed to deliver a single parcel! I did lots of crashing though, and moving around at high speed is really satisying, gnl! The sound design is good, the music is appropriate and chill too!

congeesetador 2023-05-03 01:15

This was a fun game to play! graphics and audio are really well put together, I can tell you put a lot of time into making it. The only thing I have to say that I dislike is the movement, I feel like I'm playing Minecraft and am trying to parkour on ice blocks, the slightest of movement will send me flying away from the planet I need to be at and I end up wasting half my fuel bar just to slow down and start moving back to the planet, but that was the only thing I disliked about the game. It was a really polished and great game! Keep up the good work!

jordan-p20 2023-05-03 01:25

Very good game. nice physics. a little difficult to control in the beginning, but once you get it it works fairly well. I would like to see some type of speed indicator so i know how fast i am going/accelerating/decelerating.

the-neon-shark 2023-05-03 05:01

The controls felt pretty floaty (I know we're in space, but it felt really challenging to retain simple control). Also, I had no intuition for how the packages were being deployed -- sometimes they came out directly at the planet and other times they'd fly away from the planet somehow :o

I do like the core of what's here, and some polish on the experience + zooming out the camera a bit would go along way!

99jason 2023-05-03 08:00

well done!!! nice gravity and acceleration mechanism. Beacon of fuel supply would be nice~

divi 2023-05-03 11:09

Pretty fun game but the I feel the movement could be smoother. Currently it pushes you to take things slow to avoid crashing or getting stranded because correcting your course seems almost impossible once you get too much momentum going. The throwing of the packages is also a little confusing and hard to pull off if you're not doing it from inside the delivery zone itself.

The art is awesome btw!

Edit: It could be nice to have alternative inputs for the controls too, A and D is alright but X on top makes it a little awkward, being able to use the arrows instead of A and D would be great.

artemy-zen 2023-05-03 14:19

The game looks and sounds really great. It's quite challenging to control the ship and make deliveries - it's difficult to get the timing, speed, and position just right. But that's the whole point, right? Good job!

blank-3d 2023-05-03 14:50

The art and sounds are very nice, so is the concept. The spaceship does feel like it is lacking in thrust. I delivered a few packages and flew too close to a planet, but I reversed, spun the ship around and even though I got deep in the red zone I didn't actually crash.. and then there I stayed. Thrusters at full blast keeping me a cool constant 3 pixels from the planet.

paulsams 2023-05-03 17:27

It seems to be cool, but it seems to be too much inertia). That is, the management could have been more fun to do, but more... I didn't see any more mechanics in the game, huh, so I don't know what to evaluate). The fact that you show different radiuses of orbit in advance is nice, because then you can slow down in advance. In general, it was nice to drive on the ship).

makerart 2023-05-03 17:46

Orbit mechanis works cool, my skills sure failed) Great concept, pretty chalanging and adictive. failed about hundret times before gave up

bmanstudio 2023-05-03 18:00

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for playing our game and sharing your feedback with us, it's really incredible to see how many people liked our game, we're grateful! So I've spent the day trying to improve the things that most of you have commented about, here's the changelog for V1.2 which I'll upload in the next few minutes:

- Added pause menu (press P / ESC on PC and Menu on gamepad) - Added options menu (music, sfx, mute, invert rotation) - Made the player turn faster ( @drazil100 @cody-holt ) - Made the HUD a little smaller ( @cody-holt ) - Added zooming in and out controls ( @the-neon-shark @nox282 @bezedh @retrific ) - Added particles to the gravity fields (just for fun) - Now the package drops from the back of the ship and increasing in size ( @rjdrag ) - Changed the buttons on Keyboard: Drop package with K instead of X (X will still work though) ( @fgkeiji @jordan-p20 @the-neon-shark @divi ) - Made the ship a little easier to control. Also, please see the tips I added to the description of the game above. ( @maskrosen @rjdrag @fgkeiji @the-neon-shark @artemy-zen @blank-3d @congeesetador @weirdbitgames @ramonvicious )

I would love to hear from you if it is any better now with those changes! Thanks again :)

bmanstudio 2023-05-03 18:18

@makerart Don't give up! We just uploaded a new, easier version of the game :) :)

nox282 2023-05-03 22:05

@bmanstudio You madlads actually updated the build! I much prefer the view with the camera fully zoomed out, I noticed a drastic decrease in my crashes, and I think the game is even more enjoyable now!

ruslana 2023-05-03 22:15

Nice art, mechanics and idea

bmanstudio 2023-05-03 22:37

@nox282 yay! So glad to hear that ☺️☺️

jake-g 2023-05-04 03:18

Is there a chance you'll update your webgl build? I would love to play but it gives me an error: "Unable to parse Build/V1.2.1.framework.js.br! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: br" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug."

bmanstudio 2023-05-04 10:22

@jake-g Hi Jake! Did you tried the WebGL here on the LD page? I know there's a problem with the itch.io version currently, but I'm able to play as usual in here (the ludum dare page). I have no idea what's wrong on itch.io, I tried to re-build and upload a few times, and it's super weird as it works just fine on LD. Please let me know which one you tried 😇

**UPDATE** - Ok I found the issue and fixed it, it's working now on itch.io as well :) thanks!

bmanstudio 2023-05-04 13:00

I've just uploaded a new version with minor changes, here's the changelog for V1.2.5: - Fixed bug - pause menu on game over - Now the arrow pointer will scale according to the distance from the target (to help indicate speed and distance) - Fixed gravity force particles velocity direction - Other small fixes and tweaks

Please share your feedback with us so we know what other fixes and features we should work on! :)

fragment-games 2023-05-04 13:32

Liked the look and feel of the game. A bit hard to controll the spaceship, felt it was a bit to quick. So took some time to get used to it. I had some scaling issues on some of the UI, so some of it was over other elements in the main menu for instance. But a great entry :-D

bmanstudio 2023-05-04 13:43

@fragment-games Thanks a lot! Can you please share your resolution and a screenshot so I can better understand the scaling issue of the UI? Also, it seems like many players had difficult time adjusting to the controls and the physics of the game, but I can promise you that's nothing a few mintues of practicing can't solve ;) Here's my current highscore: :) :)

Screenshot 2023-05-04 161437.png

bart-diepvries 2023-05-04 13:54

Damn it was hard to control the ship, i crashed so many times lol. Really loved the vibe, awesome music!!

blueanoli 2023-05-04 14:14

I love the visuals and sound design of this game! Awesome Jam entry!

bmanstudio 2023-05-04 14:30

@blueanoli thank you so much!

@bart-diepvries haha yea it takes a few minutes to learn the mechanics, try to **fire the thrusters repeatedly after you rotate to the direction you want to move in** to have better control of the ship

helen 2023-05-04 17:19

Like everybody already said: Awesome graphics! It's hard to play, but a good entry.

michael-darling 2023-05-04 18:38

Well done! Very challenging gameplay, but rewarding to get better at as a player. The whole ejecting packages thing didn't quite make sense to me at first. I kept thinking I needed to shoot them to the delivery zone as a projectile. Once I got past that though, I had a ton of fun! I'd love a way to zoom out when I needed to find fuel. When I got low, I found myself kind of just drifting, hoping to find something. As others have mentioned, great job on the art as well! and you were right—we both did space delivery games, but with very different approaches 😄

lcstark 2023-05-04 21:05

Really fun game! I enjoyed flying around and using planets for slingshot maneuvers to conserve my fuel. One thing I found weird was the control scheme - the K key being used to drop packages felt rather awkward. Might I suggest moving the thrusters from space to W (matching the standard WASD movement scheme), and using space to drop the packages? Also, I'm not sure the brackets for zoom are that necessary - when the game started I zoomed out as far as I could and I never felt the need to zoom in.

Also one question I couldn't find an answer to myself - do you need to just be within the drop zone, or do you need to also match the movement direction to planet rotation? I think a few times I dropped the package within the zone, but it went flying into space. I think it might have been due to rather high relative speed, but I thought I'd ask if that's it or something else. :)

I also think the difficulty could be a bit higher. After a while I just got bored and crashed into a planet to see what happens. Though this might be player-dependent, so maybe a difficulty selection at the start of the game? orbit_express.png

mar-zockmeister 2023-05-05 00:05

Very polished and very fun game. Learning curve is rather high and it took me a little bit to realize I have to wait for the right sector for delivering the package but then it was quite fun. Really nice Idea, reminds me of asteroids.

slimefriend 2023-05-05 00:22

I think this has the potential to be really really cool! A few comments: I think you should be able to exit the red orbit, it just takes a bunch of fuel. I would love to have the view a bit more zoomed out, it felt like I didn't really get a frame of reference for how fast I was going. Despite those nitpicks, I thought the movement with the careful accelerating and zipping around planets was really cool! Great job!

paul-avallone 2023-05-05 01:08

Super polished game. At first I thought the drop zone was the entire green ring and that the drop zone was asteroids I should avoid. You might want to change the visual on that if you continue to expand the game. Other space ships and space debris would be a fun addition. The game controls so well that anytime I died I knew it was my own fault. The art is wonderful and mixed with the sound and music makes a great mood. Fantastic job!

digital-bacon 2023-05-05 12:12

Such a beautiful game! Loved the art and music. Gameplay was frustrating initally, but got the hang of it eventually. Well done!

stefan-funke 2023-05-05 14:18

Looks very beautiful! Also the controls felt very nice!

The only thing I didn't like was being restricted by fuel. I don't like having a timer counting down on me. It's not fun and introduces unnecessary stress to an otherwise very chill game. (But maybe that's just me  )

If you really want to keep this mechanic, then I would suggest adding refuel stations to every planet, where I can refuel after every delivery.

erlioniel 2023-05-05 15:03

Hey there, looks like MidJourney made all sprites for you, am I right?

bmanstudio 2023-05-05 15:12

@erlioniel Yep :) As mentioned in the credits too :) Would love to hear your thoughts on the game, though

bmanstudio 2023-05-05 15:21

@lcstark Wow! pretty amazing score there!! Would love to know if you used a keyboard or gamepad, and how long it took you :)

About your question, the success of the delivery is not dependent on your direction/velocity, but only on your position (which should be within the angled slice). However, I have as well encountered some cases where it felt like I'm in the drop zone, but the package didn't land.

But if I'm honest with myself haha, in all of those cases I flew too fast and "hoped" rather than made it "clean" - which worked 100% of the time for me. So I guess the conclusion I took from it is to not take chances with the drop zone, and just enter orbit slowly and with as much control as possible, and just wait for or follow the drop zone to make a nice, clean delivery, before continuing to the next planet :)

Regarding the difficulty, I'll tag you once we'll upload the upgrades update, probably in a few days, it should make it more interesting for your level ;)

bmanstudio 2023-05-05 15:26

@slimefriend Thank you so much for the kind words!

Regarding the red zone, there is a way to leave it (if you can stable inside without crashing), you can find a tip for it in the description of the game above, and if you still struggle - let me know and i'll post another tip for it :)

About the zoom - we're planning to upload an update with upgrades you can purchase, and possibly one of them will be a greater zoom out, but I can't say much about that, yet ;) I'll tag you once we upload the new improved version. Thanks again!

bmanstudio 2023-05-05 15:31

@stefan-funke Thank you so much for the kind words and the suggestions! I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean, though. There are (3 different) kinds of fuel pickups in the game, many of which are usually pretty close to the planets. Also, as long as you don't fire the thrusters or turn the ship, your fuel stays the same, so technically (and sometimes that's the right way to go) you can travel long distances without wasting any fuel, or at least finding a fuel pickup to restore your fuel.

Please let me know if I misunderstood you, I'd love to better understand what was your pain point here :) :)

Thanks again for playing and sharing your feddback!!

stefan-funke 2023-05-05 16:02

@bmanstudio I tried to pick them up whenever possible. But often they just flew by at a distance. Also I need fuel to navigate to the pickups. I had the feeling, that I didn't win much by chasing them. Maybe it works better with a bit more flying practice, I think I was pretty wasteful. :D

I didn't realize that there were different kinds, maybe that was part of my problem.

What I wanted to say in general: The game would also work great without the fuel system. Just flying around, looking at the planets and chill, would be fun enough (without pressure to collect fuel).

But like I said, that's just my preference. :)

I'm really impressed by the game, so just nitpicking here!

Edit: Worked a little better now with your help, got to 11 deliveries. But also flew twice into the red zone

erlioniel 2023-05-05 16:20

@bmanstudio yep, sure. I tried to play through, but tbh for me it wasn't that forgiving, I would say. Of course it's a personal preference (and probably if I would spend 10-20 minutes to adapt my fingers to the game physics it would work better), but I think it might be slightly more forgiving for a player, especially at start.

An additional note is that gravity fields are not working really well, and I once was stuck in a red area, burned out full tank of fuel without a possibility to move away.

Aside of that I think power ups (and fuel tanks) requires some explanation, because without it it's really hard to understand what you got (if you got anything).

Overall a nice attempt for a space mechanic, controls are fine (tho I would stick to classical WASD), ship is responsive and good.

P.S. I would recommend to opt-out Graphics category, if majority graphical assets generated by MJ, since it will be [according to rules](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules)

bmanstudio 2023-05-05 16:31

Deleted, wrong tag

bmanstudio 2023-05-05 16:34

@erlioniel thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it and your kind words!

I shared a tip on how to get out of the red zone in the description, if you'd like to try again, but it's possible 😉

Would love if you can direct me to the part in the rules that you think we broke. As I see it, we haven't used 3rd party assets, as no one else created or own those assets. They're ours, and also the rights for them are ours (as paid MJ users). I think it's not fundamentally different than any other creative tool. Maybe I'm wrong here, and I'd love to be corrected as we have no intention in cheating or anything, but the only thing I saw regarding the use of AI is that it's forbidden for the Compo, but allowed for the Jam until they'll figure out how to regulate it.

Did I missed something? 🙂

erlioniel 2023-05-05 16:43

@bmanstudio you are right, it's a slippery topic. That fact that you own asset doesn't makes you a creator of it. Let me try to explain differently - if I would buy an asset on asset store I'm an owner, but not an author.

But as you absolutely correctly mentioned it's not directly forbidden in rules except COMPO games, so from that perspective it's a matter of interpretation. I would say that AI generated content (art, audio, whatever) even tho might be own by you not created by you. Except you actually trained your private neuro-network on your own art (or whatever). But that's your decision after all.

mnemosynevl 2023-05-05 17:24

Made me really jump in my seat when I was almost hitting planets. Great game. I would only recommend to not enable game over screen when you are out of fuel. So many times I caught the fuel barrel after the game over screen.

twobitadder 2023-05-05 19:47

Hey, I see what you mean! I really like your take on the idea, it really forces a lot more careful maneuvering, it's nice to have the time to be able to get your ship in optimal position to deliver a package and keep control. I also like the fuel management, it means you have to be smart about how you break orbit with planets if you want to make it further. I did also find K to be a bit of an odd key to drop items, but it never ended up being a huge deal, just something that I had to look at the keyboard periodically to make sure I was hitting the correct key. If you ever feel up to expanding the concept, it might be neat to provide other obstacles like asteroids or planetary belts to provide some more things. I think overall it is a great concept though (though maybe I'm a bit biased) and I really love the graphics! Great work!

synthol 2023-05-05 20:05

The game mechanics and graphics are nice. I always like games based around space like this. If you increased the difficulty slightly more that could make the game even more fun. Other than that great game!

raggedyjam 2023-05-06 03:59

Great fun I love playing with gravity/space controls. Visuals a great do I have the right idea in thinking the MidJourney (AI) means you used AI art? If so for what parts of the game? The music is awesome there's clear visuals for everything and a nice response or feedback for all the mechanics/resource statuses. This was a really impressive jam submission.

My high scoreimage_2023-05-06_132909991.png

nazorus 2023-05-06 08:05

Cool game, graphics and visual effects look very sleek. Music is also nice and groovy.

Gameplay wise, it was fun to learn or to move around with the ship, and once you get the hang of it it becomes pretty satisfying to delivery packages. I wish there were more visual feedback about the speed of the ship, I found myself going way too fast unintentionally as I was approaching planets and struggling to correct my speed and trajectory.

I'm a bit concerned about the AI usage, which parts of the game are hand-made VS generated?

bmanstudio 2023-05-06 10:27

@raggedyjam @nazorus thank you so much guys for your awesome feedback! I'm glad you found the game fun and satisfying!! Regarding the speed indicator, we're working on it for the next version 😉 For the art, most of the sprites used are made with MJ and Photoshop, the background visuals are imported from a free package from the Unity asset store (link in credits in description) and the rest of the graphics (UI, menus, particles, gravity zones, etc.) are hand-made in Photoshop, Canva, and Unity (and obviously everything else in the game was made by @omrilahav and myself, each in his area). I hope that answers your question, and I would love to hear what you're concerned about 🙂

This is a well polished entry! I think my only gripes are that I would prefer W instead of space for the booster and I wasn't sure where to deliver the package at first. I thought I could just release it so it hits the planet.

I’ve just uploaded a new version with some changes, here’s the changelog for V1.2.6:

- Added variations to package visuals - Added variations to planets' visuals - Enhanced the planets' gravitational effect on the player

Please share your feedback with us so we know what other fixes and features we should work on! :)

> Wow! pretty amazing score there!! Would love to know if you used a keyboard or gamepad, and how long it took you :)

@bmanstudio Thanks! I'm not sure how long it took me, I didn't really time my run. Maybe you can add a timer in-game? And I played with the keyboard.

> But if I’m honest with myself haha, in all of those cases I flew too fast and “hoped” rather than made it “clean” - which worked 100% of the time for me.

Yeah, it was probably the same for me. It seems there are no shortcuts in orbital delivery. :D

I see nothing wrong here.

Score : 3743

Delivered : 5

This game is way harder than I thought, it's super slippery, and collecting fuel actually make you waste fuel too since you have to thrust towards them. Also the satellites objects are stupid.

@projectcolorball Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! New major updates coming very soon :)

@stingby12 About the main menu, well it's hard to support such resolution, but I'll do my best to best support when it's not full screen. Thanks for sharing your feedback, I appreciate it. Can you please elaborate on why you think "the satellites objects are stupid"? Also, I don't think hard means bad, I prefer challenging games at any day :)

stingby12 2023-05-12 10:04

@bmanstudio Sometimes, I run into these things out of nowhere.

Finally got around this one.

I ended up delivering all the packages in the green zones of the planets it was directing me too but it still gave me a score of 0 at the end. :slight_frown: Oh well...

That being said, gameplay felt like just the right balance of tough and forgiving. Took a second to get used to but after that, it wasn't too bad. Music was pretty vibey and the graphics were pretty nice and very clear to read (not something to take for granted with jam games lol). Felt a little short and bare, but the fact that the planets had more debris to up the challenge was a nice touch. Pretty solid overall!

@guitarbro Thank you so much for taking the time to play and share your feedback with us! I'm glad you liked the game :)

I would love to understand better the 0 score situation tho... Are you sure you delivered the packaged in the **drop zone** inside the green circle? If you did, that's very weird, and I would love it if you can share a screenshot or some inforamtion on what you did so I can try and reproduce that on my machine :) Thanks again!

I love the fx of the ship moving forward, they are really successful and match the artistic direction. The maneuverability of the ship is really fun and translates the space and gravity aspect well, I really liked handling it in this small solar system.

Changelog for V1.2.9.1:

- Several bug fixes - New and improved SFX (including the Doppler effect) - 2 new nebula backgrounds - Lighting-based scene - Change score >> Orbs (for upcoming upgrades bay shop, stay tuned!) - Pirate (new AI obstacle that steals orbs) - Other visual and audio improvements

Please share your feedback with us so we know what other fixes and features we should work on! :)

guitarbro 2023-05-14 17:53

@bmanstudio Pretty sure, though maybe I was slightly out of it? Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I can't reproduce it anymore. :pensive:
