‎I see that a lot of you are congratulating us on making this game in our own engine. From all 4 us, we want to sincerely thank you! We didn't expect so much feedback, let alone praise! To be honest seeing 1000+ games being uploaded, I thought we would be left in the dust! Thank you all, and I hope to see you again in the next Ludem Dare Game Jam!

Maan, screw those dastardly red cubes.

It's so cool to make a game with your own game engine! Impressive game :)

drgcandle 2024-04-16 09:00

Wait...your own game engine???

yukimiitsuka 2024-04-16 09:13

It's unbelievable that you used your own game engine to finish such great renders. The idea that enemy bullets summons a new one is also very interesting!

sariiger 2024-04-16 09:15

A really fun game, makes me wish there was more of it! Also it's really impressive you made it with your own engine, really love the minimalistic graphics! They're pleasant to look at.

Congrats for making this game on your own engine! Lovely CRT effect for a cool game, well done.

gamesplusjames 2024-04-16 11:08

This is a fun idea! Great job :)

bananplyte 2024-04-16 12:15

I loved the CRT effect! Crazy that you did this in your own engine, mad props!

Unfortunately my computer seems to destroy the .exe file once I reach 5 minutes in for not being an accepted program licensed by microsoft w/e - but I can see the work you've put in and commend you on your brilliant little game :D

almalewis 2024-04-16 13:08

Not a bad idea! Fun and funny

prepe 2024-04-16 16:07

I sadly can't start the game. I get an "Instance could not be generated" error on startup or something of that kind. I can't really read the msg as the window shows for less than a second. Would love to play the game tho. The other comments are such a tease ... sad me.

gnum 2024-04-16 21:00

I played the game, but I didn't understand the mechanics well, because everything is not completely clear, but the graphics are very good

kseniya 2024-04-16 21:28

It was very good

thunderchief 2024-04-17 02:59

You did this in your own game engine... Kudos to you !

alxje 2024-04-17 03:33

Cool

zevsehg 2024-04-17 12:00

I feel myself stupid, but i didn't able to jump on the third platform at the beginning. So i killed only one cube... update: ok, i am stupid. i need to rocketjump with shotgun.

zevsehg 2024-04-17 12:14

Nice post-processing. The fact that you need to relaunch game to restart the level is a little bit frustrating. Also, windows defender didn't like your exe for whatever reason.

ghostdev708 2024-04-17 22:28

@prepe Sorry I took so long to try to help you, I've been busy with school and stuff. (And I kinda forgot about your problem, sorry!)

Our Lead Programmer @myri4 recommends to update your drivers if you haven't.

If that didn't work, please tell us what your gpu is. The game engine is made with Vulkan (a graphics API) and some GPUs (usually older ones) don't support it.

If your gpu and drivers are ok, then...We have no idea, I'm very sorry.

I played your game, it's pretty fun and very charming. I hope you will be able to play our game as well!

prepe 2024-04-18 15:12

@ghostdev708 No problem I can relate with having other stuff going on in your life than the GameJam. I reinstalled the drivers for my GPU as i was up to date with the driver, but the reinstall fixed the problem. I was able to play now and I had a lot of fun with your game. I am happy that I didn't had to miss out on this one. BTW I run a NVIDIA 1080.

klemen 2024-04-28 10:33

I have Nvidia GeForce 1650 so that shouldn't be a problem even if its a laptop graphics card....

ghostdev708 2024-04-28 22:22

@klemen Yea, Nvidia GeForce 1650 supports Vulkan. Are you experiencing the same problem as Prepe? If so are your drivers up to date? Please let me know!
