I think I am missing something.
The idea was definitely interesting, and I am always up for a cool puzzle, especially one about ciphers, but I haven't quite figured out how to see if I got it right? Does the game automatically trigger something if that is the case? Everything was a tiny bit too cryptic.
The whispers were really really cool, but I do think a bit of eerie background music would have helped set the mood more.
Even so, it was a great entry and I liked it. Now I won't be able to get it off my mind until I solve that puzzle, >:).

@calcopod Thank you for your review.
The answers are checked, when you press Enter. If your answer is right, the field color will switch from red to green. When all answers are right, the next puzzle will trigger automatically.

I like the concept, but by not spending a lot of time of trial and error it seems very hard to achieve. maybe some hints would be helpful? maybe I'm missing something, but I can't really grasp how to figure out what is needed :( let me know if you have a tip! :D

I love how this game looks, but I am terrible at deciphering stuff so I cannot comment much on the game itself. The atmosphere is great and I love how this cult feels. Very dreary, I wish I could have helped them summon their evil overlord and now I feel bad for not being able to do much ;_;

@kabura Thank you for your review.
Basicly the task is to translate from one language to another. In the first puzzle numbers are written in a fictional language: 26 - twenty six - bisti rur etc. If you detect patterns in the examples, you can write the rest of the numbers in the fictional language.
I've also added some hints to the game itself. They are a bit cryptic, but I hope they will give you the direction >_<
I tried and I tried but couldn't figure what we were supposed to do, even with the hint. It could mitigate the frustration if we had a feedback when pressing enter to try a guess. Currently we don't know if it's doing something. The mood you created with whispers and graphics is really cool though
Well... I have to add that you made a very intriguing game and you managed to catch my attention ! Finishing lvl 1 was really satisfying! I felt your answer to @kabura more helpful to understand what was expected from me than the hint in the game.
Lvl2 is a formality as we can brute force it And lvl 3 was too difficult for me (well, I'd like to review more than a game in the month we have to evaluate other games.)
Really well thought puzzle game!

@k8n ah, that's what the numbers were for, could have figured that out myself now that you said it 🤦🏼♂️ xD then I'll give it another try! :)
After spending a lot of time with a piece of paper and a pencil (even asking chatgpt after that), I still couldn't resolve the third screen :(.
Could you check if there are any bugs in "wsha'ngesth ph'lucs"? (I tried a lot of combinations..)
Overall the music suits very well the mood of the game. The game it's challenging but fun if you like this kind of things.
However, I would suggest making the tips shown to the user automatically after some time (I couldn't figure out that the 2 on the bookmarke would give you tips so easily). And since this is a jam, I would made the game more user-friendly to give feedback if the almost player gets some words.

@daniboygg Oops, you are right, there is a bug there. I've translated the tasks from Russian and used to different English words for the same Russian one. I'm really sorry about that. Now the answer is sleep instead of dream. I will fix this ASAP.

@daniboygg Fixed this. Sorry again. Thanks for your feedback.
@k8n glad to be helpful :)
Quite difficult without having some type of example of how the language correctly reads. Do like the graphics and sound though.
Took me a long time but I finally beat the three levels! In the final one I didn't actually get the kinds of possessions, so it was a bit of trial and error. The first two levels I felt like I really had to understand the language to translate. Great job! Graphics and audio are awesome as well.

Like most of the comments here, I love the idea the mood and graphics, but I also couldn't figure out the puzzles. Is it supposed to be creating a word in English? Is it a jumble? I did look at the hint, but I still couldn't figure it out.

GJ! Froze after the second level unfortunately :( very interesting concept, I agree with others that it's not very obvious on the first puzzle if your words are correct or not (until you get one). Maybe some animation on the candle would help?
Love the mood and graphics, it was quite satisfying to complete the puzzles, always love to see linquistic games.

I like the art, couldn't figure out a single puzzle though haha
Challenging but fun. Part 1 was the hardest for me, because I saw the hint talking about how tens weren't always tens and immediately went 'it's base 13. it's gotta be base 13. something here is base 13.' And then I lost several hours to my own overthinking lol.
Good game!
Cool concept but pretty hard! Maybe a few hints would help :) Congrats for your entry

Really fun puzzles that really made me think! The first took the longest by far but was incredibly satisfying once I figured it out. For the second screen, I don't think the answer should be confirmed until you've put all of the words in correctly - it made it a bit too easy to brute force. The ending screen caught me by surprise and was very funny. I had a tonne of fun playing this, it's always great to play a game that makes you take out pen and paper to solve its puzzles. Great job!

Interesting idea but I think it really needs a tutorial level that shows a little more than the hint
I really enjoyed the riddles, I came until lvl three, then I was a little bit confused. I understood at least an (I think) important part of the similarities but could not apply them as neccessary. After visualizing the translated numbers to myself the first riddle went pretty fast (but not at all too easy). Well done. All in all a cool little game with an interesting ambience but maybe a little hard to solve riddles.
Congrats for your entry :>
LETS GO, very satisfying when you get the puzzles! the new hints really help. a good balance of difficulty and information. I loved this game 10/10

Wow, your are truly an artist. Your assets and UI skills are amazing. Love the smooth delete of "from" from the title
That was a blast to play. I used trial and error for puzzle 2 and have little to no idea how to solve it properly. It gave me some clues for level 3 though.
It's cool that the words and rules are consistent across puzzles. It might be nice to be able to go back a page and check the previous puzzles again in case you want to check on a rule. (I ended up making a screenshot of puzzle 2's solution that helped me with puzzle 3)
I love how simple this game seems at first and how complex it becomes. There's genus and everything? The ending was way funnier than I expected
Great job overall!
Edit: I managed to play through and finished the third level, I've overseen an apostrophe and accidentally had a wrong chain once ^^' But I wanted to let you know I had fun and could make it in the end 😊
The game idea is very interesting and i think it's the first time is saw something like "understand a new language" only by text. Unfortunatly im stuck here: Capture d’écran 2023-05-07 165701.png

@roroto-sic You almost got it! In the third phrase just a couple of misspells and the wrong kind of possession (the temple cannot be without a god as the vampire cannot be without a fang). The errors in the first and the last based on the same misconception (note that the possessors from the examples become the objects of possession in the tasks). There is couple of misspells in the last phrase and the first one should also be an "of" phrase. Thanks for playing!
Solid cipher-breaking fun! Clues are well laid out and each level ups the challenge organically. Nice entry, awesome work.
