LD53 — Delivery

Air Delivery by pianoman373 2023-05-04T07:43:03Z

A great little game to relax after playing a lot of stressful delivery games. Loved it!

Pneumatic Postman by klausklapper 2023-05-04T07:17:40Z

First up, the graphics and the audio are really good! I really liked it. It is an interesting concept as well! However, there are some things which made it very inaccessible to me: - I would really appreciate the ability to change the sensitivity as it was wayyy too fast than I am normally used to. - Things get overwhelming extremely quickly for me, so unfortunately I was only able to play the game for a very very short time. Maybe it was intended, and in that case, it is alright.

Other than that, this is very well done. Great job!

DElive by IcyLava 2023-05-05T06:49:19Z

Really nice! Loved the modern feel. Though it could definitely use some more juice.

Made it to 35 and then my laptop just couldn't take it anymore. Screenshot (28).png

IceCream Van by notnasiul 2023-05-04T08:34:54Z

This is a hilarious game. I definitely did not expect to be able to run over people with my car!

But this is a really nice game: - You want to attract more people to get more profit but you do not want to attract *too many* of them because then they will get angry in the queue. - This is a really fun experience where you have to find the right balance between profit and happiness. I really like it.

Great game!

Spycraft: Echelon City by NicMagnier 2023-05-05T16:06:46Z

Great game! Loved the music throughout and also the idea of searching the world thoroughly to find the agent you are looking for.

I did run into a bug where clicking the red lady right after starting the game, when the camera is still moving to its initial position, messes up the perspective.

Marvin's Day Job: Sabotage by Devez 2023-05-02T17:35:22Z

Surprisingly not very frustrating. Great job!

Elevander of the Emu Express by Honest Dan 2023-05-04T11:38:04Z

I really liked it! The graphics are cute and cozy and the music is really nice. The controls are easy to learn and hard to master.

However, I wasn't able to glide mid-air a lot of the times because it was being recognized as 'flying upwards' which resulted in me hitting my head on some platforms and falling down. I am not sure if it is intentional.

Souls on Board: The Styx Delivery Service by Boon 2023-05-02T17:15:59Z

A very interesting concept. Unfortunately, it was a little hard to control the boat and I very easily got stuck at the walls. The navigation markers getting hidden in the fog is something that I really like, but I also found out that you cannot really read what the soul has to say when you are in the fog, which resulted in difficulties delivering the soul; not sure if it is intentional.

oh no, you are the package by gn Fur 2023-05-04T17:45:13Z

It was pretty fun! Had the right amount of juice and satisfying blob animations to keep my attention for a pretty long time.

Though I ran into a bug where two blobs were clearly joined but I was still getting repelled.

The Holy Scanner by Teun de Vries 2023-05-04T14:18:45Z

This is actually hilarious! Thank you for this.

@alyd-asmar Thank you!

I also noticed after the end of the jam, that rushing seemed to work better most of the time and it seems to have gone under my radar during the jam (perhaps due to it being pretty late after midnight when I finally published it). I agree that I should have played around with the RNG a bit.

And the idea of having the player check the mail sounds fun! I never thought of that during the jam!

@wadlo I am so sorry about that.

It looks like the character was getting sent to a point way beyond the map. Though I am not sure what could have caused it. My best guess is that something went wrong while uploading the files to GitHub even though its very unlikely. I have implemented a new patch by just duplicating the second level and editing the map, and everything seems to be working fine now.

As for the UI not doing anything, the UI is disabled for the first 5 seconds when the IDs of the Mailboxes are being shown, but is enabled again when it goes away.

@ohfacts Thank you for your feedback!

I have now reworded the tutorial and replaced a zero with a dash to (hopefully) make it more understandable.

As for the mails being put back into the mailboxes, that is actually a really nice finding. I have now changed the narrative a little bit and replaced "delivering" with "sorting" as it would be a better word. Thank you for pointing that out!

@nutvillagegames @nivbeth I completely agree that the levels do get very repetitive due to the lack of new gameplay elements. I did plan to implement some, though I am not sure if the rules will allow it during the rating period.

@the-martijn Honestly, this is exactly what I was thinking when I hurriedly published the game late after midnight . I would've loved to add some new animations to properly tell what was actually going on but unfortunately I cannot add anything new during the rating period (I might be misinterpreting it). :(

The Box Baby by Revetoon 2023-05-04T09:10:25Z

A nice little game with minimalist but beautiful graphics! Loved the music as well! Great job!

And uh... I can not be the only one who tried this...

Newton Logistics by parkuhrmd 2023-05-04T18:23:23Z

A really nice and relaxing game. Had a lot of fun connecting boxes and launching them into the docs while listening to the calm music. Pretty fun!

Though I encountered a bug where I was able to offset the camera far enough to get the ship out of the view.

📯 POSTAL HERO 🏹 by Caca 2023-05-04T07:32:18Z

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting such a polished game made in 72 days! The graphics and the audio go together extremely well and I had a lot of fun shooting mail into the mailboxes using a crossbow while navigating the beautiful city. There is just one thing I would like to see: - Perhaps you can have elevated terrain or some kind of border to clearly mark the places through which you can see the mails. I saw a gap between the fence posts and the trees through which I should've been able to shoot the mail, but wasn't able to because of an invisible wall; - or you could also allow players to shoot through the gaps!

Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Courier Pigeon by Valyn Tyler 2023-05-04T17:07:17Z

Honestly, pretty good. Though there are some bugs that I noticed. - Crashing into building sends the camera into the floor, which can result in this view where the pigeon just starts asserting dominance while it is in the buildings' walls: Screenshot (24).png - Pressing left/right (possibly after crashing into a building) without moving forward causes the camera to jitter.

RELEASE THE MEAT by NuiN 2023-05-04T11:57:33Z

I really enjoyed making abominati- masterpieces in this game! It is hilarious when you fail and satisfying when you succeed. Loved it.

Pack It Up by thomaspixelart 2023-05-04T08:26:19Z

This is actually very fun! It has the perfect amount of juice to make it super addicting. The audio is extremely good and the graphics are very cute. You could actually release this and nobody would know that it was made in 72 hours!

Loved it!
