This was a pretty fresh concept with the audio idea. It certainly was nice with its mood presented. I think panning the audio from left to right or right to left for when the hostile entities are around would've been interesting. It not only makes it a bit more terrifying, but it adds a nice little element that lets you know when they're close or far from you. Also, maybe shorten the game so that the player doesn't feel dragged on too long, since it's based on audio only. Overall, it was a nice, simple experience.
It was challenging to get the controls right at first, but this was a really fun to play!
I liked the cute art presented in the game, it kind of gave me that "programmer art" vibe. I think the concept was neat, although it felt more about speedrunning to become a goblin than to not become one. One thing I would change is pressing the "E" button to interact. It feels awkward when I'm both holding the WASD keys and pressing "E" at the same time. Maybe the "space" button will be better. Overall, you did a good job making this game.
Hey thanks for the feedback so far. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I accidentally gave instructions to "mash" the space/mouse button when you're supposed to HOLD it. It's a pulse-based mechanic, so don't actually try to click as fast as you can.
I really like the art style. It fits well with the aesthetic to this game. While sound effects would go well with this, it's a charming little game nonetheless.
Good art style. The driving experience was good. It did take some time for me to start realizing what I needed to do at the beginning. But overall, great job!
I love the fast-paced gameplay for this game, it was a lot of fun! It's cool how you were able to convey much of the sprites with such few pixels. It got confusing at first because the menu did look like a plate, and I think it would've helped if it were rectangular instead of a square. Other people have mentioned the sensitive mechanics, but I didn't have too much trouble with it. Good job with your entry!
This is definitely one of those "so stupid, but I love it" type of games. Super fun and I love the art and humor in this game.
This game looks visually appealing, and I do like some of the artwork made in the cards.
It was difficult at first to see how to play this game at first, and I think there could've been a message at first when you play instead of hiding it behind a "?" button. Also, it seems like when I die, I have to press alt+f4 to quit the game and reopen it instead of having it restart for me. But otherwise, I think this game can be further explored and developed.
This is a pretty good concept! Some of the levels seemed a pretty difficult to reach, but it was nice to play. I suggest having an additional keyboard button to restart instead of using the mouse button. But otherwise, this is a concept that can be further explored.
This is a neat little game with a Gameboy aesthetic, and I do like the background music. A few things I would like to add to make this game a little bit better would be: - the attack animation/mechanic being a little more faster so that the delay doesn't seem off - adding a monster's collision box so that it isn't stuck inside the player after being hit by them And congrats on your first jam too!
