It took me a while to understand that i die faster when i am out of happiness but when i did, i started to get better and i got a decent life, only to die of spamming my mouse button too furiously and accidentally dying. A solid game, but i'd recommend you make the player have to a click a bit less. (or maybe its just me who just got the instinct to start spamming my mouse)

neowedge 2019-04-29 11:10

@lubaka Thanks for your feedback! I am developing idle games in my real life, so I got an occupational disease xD Also, it could be taken as a game metaphore of routine life :P

connell 2019-04-29 13:01

The game was very easy to play which was nice so good job on that. I really liked the animations and colour scheme as well as the main idea of the game. You represented the theme really well.

dvlv 2019-04-29 19:06

Cool take on the concept, and loved the art style.

hypp 2019-04-29 19:25

This was fun! Reminded me of my own life!

pablotitan 2019-04-30 06:14

I really like this idle game of life, suites the theme really nice :D

banzi 2019-05-01 09:11

Fun to play. I have tried to die old, still living with my parents doing nothing else that programming and taking journeys. Good job!

neowedge 2019-05-01 09:41

@connell @dvid @pablotitan @banzi Thanks you very much for play it and for your comments! ^^

davidus 2019-05-01 13:00

Really good idea !

johanhelsing 2019-05-01 13:00

Cool game, I enjoyed figuring out how to live a good life. Died three times of depression, then became a happy artist who liked to cruise all the time. Nice job!

wolf-flare 2019-05-01 13:26

I enjoyed playing your game a lot. It has quite nice graphics and its fun. But the idea is not really original, so I gave you low on Innovation

chrisdugne 2019-05-01 13:29

great idea! I died at 28 the 3rd time, didnt see my happiness down...it could be nice to save state not to start over from scratch.

mrschlag2 2019-05-01 17:34

Haha, nice game ! It was a good idea, thanks !

tommyflower 2019-05-01 17:46

I think I forgot to work at some point XD Nice simulator, would have loved more variety of feedbacks just because you are tempted to beat it just looking at the bars. It really teaches you life-work balance :)

sunnray 2019-05-01 19:41

This game is fun, but too hard, just like real life D:

dimoon-ly 2019-05-01 20:09

Great idea and makes me think of my own life, thanks!

sylvie 2019-05-02 03:40

The graphics looked silly and cute, so I wasn't expecting it when I died from depression at a young age on my first playthrough. The second time I got a little older but still died from depression because I clicked the buttons too fast without paying attention to my meters. I might try again later, I like the variety of options and choices.

neowedge 2019-05-02 09:37

@davidus @johanhelsing @wolf-flare @mrschlag2 Thanks for the comments!

@chrisdugne Thanks for the feedback! I thought to implement persistance and audio, but I hadn't so much time (I started on saturday afternoon and I use to sleep as usual in the compo :P)

@sunnray Reaching a dream is very hard and not always is worth it because we idealize it. In the game, if you get experience in a crap job, and then grow as professional, it's not difficult to be rich and happy and you could get older because you don't spend your life learning. But, in real life, you'll always wonder why you did'n try it.

@tommyflower @dimoon-ly Thanks! I really like to hear that! :). I thought a lot too about that while I was developing it.

@sylvie Thanks for the feedback! At the begining it would be a parody of game devs lifes, so decided that art style, but when I introduced happiness some texts remained so much raw. About clicking, it was an occuppational disease because I develop idle games, but while I was testing it, I thouhgt that it could be a metaphore of routine: a lot of times we continue living a life that makes us sad just because inertia, because we don't spend time to think about change. So, I decided to keep it that way.

jm-studio 2019-05-02 13:16

The second try was the best. I died at 56 in my office, I was a great game dev and everyone will remember my everlasting smile  I enjoyed playing it with the variety of choices.

I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with this ending! I liked this game, but it felt like it was a bit too easy to live a great life. At the start it was fun balancing my actions, but after I went on a journey my happiness seemed to last infinitely, so I just started the designer grind and was a lead designer for 41 years. The buttons feel responsive and the graphics are fine. Overall, a well made little experience!

evgeniya-zapolnova 2019-05-02 19:45

Nice game! I studied game design for 14 years and died near university :)

gideon 2019-05-02 19:48

Hahaha. Cool game of life :D First time I only did crap jobs after I went independent. I always lost money, so I tried studying hard next time. I died at age 29, and was found dead at the university that way. (~_~)\ Loved the humour, and the way the character evolves. Really fun game!

very-dark-lord 2019-05-02 20:08

I like this a lot! Got to age 85 and tried pretty much every job and learning opportunity I could find. Became a UX designer in my late 70s. Only sad part about the game is the 2 years of misery I had to endure as an infant. :D

gassi-games 2019-05-02 22:02

Ohh, your game is really cool :) I somehow feel like idle games are just relaxing!

First time playing I died on depression with an age of 28.

I like the different endings :)

If the game would have some visual effects it would really be a game I could play for a while! I think some actions could spawn particles or somehow move the "me".

But keep it up man!

neowedge 2019-05-04 12:33

@jm-studio @jakobthequizguy @very-dark-lord

@evgeniya-zapolnova You studied too much time!!! More than 1 or 2 masters don't use to be worth it (at least in Spain xD). Thanks for playing!

@gideon Ah! If you would been studied too much time you could ascend from crap job to boss or even an executive :P. Thanks for playing!

@gassi-games Thanks for yout feedback! I wanted to change clothes and style with differntens jobs, money or happyness, but it was too much. Maybe some effects could improve it ;).

gonutz 2019-05-05 12:16

Hey, really nice idea. Died as a depressed but successful game programmer - yay!

I love the graphics and the overall game play. A little sound would have been great but it is OK this way.

re-markable 2019-05-05 12:17

Overall a great game! It felt very polished and I really liked all the different possible outcomes! I didn't get that old

neowedge 2019-05-05 20:09

@gonutz Yes, the game needs audio :(. Thanks for your feedback!

@re-markable Thanks for your comments! ^^

feips 2019-05-06 19:06

I was 78, a great gamedeveloper and will be remembered for my smile.

I like that, thank you for your entry.

fractal 2019-05-06 19:08

Very fun to play! I didn’t manage to found my own game company though :(

tamail 2019-05-11 21:33

I died at 28. Oh well, hopefully I won't end up that way in real life. :D I loved the visuals, the game concept was also great. Nice job!

baby-dino-herd 2019-05-12 00:26

The breadth of choice and outcomes here is outstanding! The attention to all the details really sets it apart. In particular, the ending screen is a very nice touch. One thing I would note is that there is a lot of repeat clicking, especially when young, with repeat choices. But I guess that's part of life, too, right? Well done!

neowedge 2019-05-12 19:44

@feips @fractal @tamail Thanks for playing and for your comments! I'm glad you liked the game ^^

@baby-dino-herd Yes! Life use to be routine, but we can choose what kind of routine will be :)

vaclav-kucera 2019-05-14 19:34

Painfully realistic, great idea :) Very quick, but fun, exactly what I'd expect from a jam game.

kaeveris 2019-05-18 14:38

Cool idea and artstyle. A bit sad gameplay, but true :) I realized died too early (ate 19) due to spamming mouse button too much :P

"The courses of professional writing are mostly courses that often appear in high-level professional courses. The number of characters written by paper https://uk.liuxuesavior.com/matlab-dai-zuo/ is generally 1500, and the top is not capped. Then this type of head teacher pays more attention to: -Whether to combine classroom content/reading content; -Have you expressed your thoughts; -Grammatical errors as long as they are not exaggerated, of course it is not the best; Generally, as long as such papers meet the hard requirements (word count, topic, number of citations, etc.), you can add some personal ideas on these foundations. Even if the ideas are not very novel, you can get good scores in a fair way. Although the requirements for this type of paper usually seem complicated, the instructor will give you a frame of text and list what you want to see in each section. Students only need to find relevant information according to their topic, and then ""fill in"" the test paper."
