I guess if you get it you get it. Unfortunately I didn't get it. I think my sense of tone/pitch is just wasn't up to the challenge. I could brute force the smaller ones but I don't think I had any chance as the bigger ones. I did love the concept as our group talked a little about doing something like this during our brainstorming. We moved on because we couldn't think of a way to make it work. I think you made it work, so great job.

letssnack 2026-04-22 17:21

Very interesting concept, sadly i am super tone-deaf and couldn't really complete all the levels, but really liked how you implemented the fractal so i didn't need to rely solely on sound.

shores 2026-04-22 17:31

This was actually really fun to play, thank you! Unfortunately I didn't make it past level 11, it was too challenging for me, but that it's difficult is part of what made it so engaging. Also love the concept with the animals singing. All in all, a good game, good job everyone!

lazarus-richardson 2026-04-27 00:49

What a cool interpretation of the theme! As an audio guy, I even found some of the signals hard to tone in! As a fellow synesthete, I salute you (I just assume someone else with synesthesia worked on this lol)

ragtagradical 2026-04-27 02:44

strangely satisfying. seen a few of these signal matching concepts, but this one feels charming. Like it'd make a good kids toy to get for your friend's kids to drive them insane. love the fractal visuals

ganonsspirit 2026-04-27 05:03

I was able to beat 1-8, 10, and 13. I only used the pictures rather than the tone because the input sound doesn't play long enough.

bobap 2026-04-27 05:26

It took a second, but I finally was able to clear all the levels. At the end there was a tiny bit much fine tuning required. I had to resort to screencapping the image into photoshop to compare and find the needed adjustments. The concept is fantastic, the execution is excellent. I'm not even sure how you managed to do the magic with the image adjustments. I did find the image easier to match than the audio, might just be how my mind problem solves though. There were cases with fewer animals where the audio helped toward the end. I can't say I really understood why the visuals were animals and a UFO, could have easily been representative or abstract art and done just as well. The precision required in the end felt very "hard mode" whereas it might have been more approachable to have some room for error in completion like getting 95% of the match and having it count. I appreciate the unique take on the theme and the implementation of a mechanic I haven't seen before. Very well done. synesthezoo_completion.png

Very interesting take on the theme! I spent quite a while working through several levels, but level 16 finally broke me;) I had to admit defeat there… for now! Really well done!

2026-04-28 06:49

A very cool and original idea. I like the art style of the game. It feels a bit repetitive to me at times, but great work!

2026-04-28 06:53

Interesting and totally fits the theme!

galareteg 2026-04-28 19:53

This game is a trip lol. I was not expecting that, but it was weirdly fun. Although I found it quite difficult, I'm not very good with sound though. Very interesting interpretation of the theme.

anete-ainjarv 2026-04-28 20:09

I find that most games this jam feel very similar... not this one though! The idea is so refreshingly original and super well executed :) I had so much fun with this game. I adore the silly animals and the fact that you're not forced to progress linearly. Definitely one of my favorite jam games I've come across this time around.

fractal 2026-04-28 21:15

I love fractals, so this game was great! Very interesting how the different animals affect the fractal in different way, and I managed to beat all levels, even though the last one was pretty tough!

verttixpertti 2026-04-29 08:53

This game was really funny and the fractals looked sick. Very unique and memorable!

gecko64 2026-04-29 10:19

Very cool concept, I loved the art and the puzzles. Only issue I would begin to only focusing on the image instead of the noise. Otherwise good job!

igorekkedziorek 2026-04-29 11:58

i've beaten 10 levels so far. this is very fresh and innovative expierence to me and it's a very fun puzzle. however i have to do a break because looking so intensly at those colors and listening to very high pitched sounds made me kinda dizzy

oddballdave 2026-04-29 12:17

This is insane. The good kind. It absolutely fried my brain. I don't think I've ever played anything like this before. I really struggled on the last two and found myself relying on the fractal visualisation more than the sound. And the fractal screen was a cool addition too. Loved it :8ball:

2026-04-29 21:47

The use of visuals and sounds made this really engaging to play, hats off especially for nailing the theme and making a game that really differs from others!:D

thoth 2026-04-30 09:13

funny game and has a really creative gameplay design around audio and graphic, but is difficult to me

fluffyou 2026-04-30 09:44

Yay, I did it! That was a fun puzzle, I love the fractals.

aniretti 2026-04-30 11:58

wow! this is a very unusual game and interpretation of the theme! i like this hypnotic acid graphics, it adds a special mood. animals also sooo cute!

unfortunately, i don't have an ear for music at all and it was very difficult for me to hit the right signals haha anyways, great submission!

venomousmouse 2026-05-02 10:28

Very cool looking and fun game! Nice job!

vidarn 2026-05-03 06:16

I really enjoyed this! It's a very cool and novel idea. The aesthetics are wonderful, the game has so much character. The animals are awesome, and the way they change pose when making a sound is hilarious XD

It was good to have both the audio and the fractal animation to go by when trying to match the signals. The fractals were very well made. Really nice how many different degrees of control you had over how they looked. And the sound seemed like it was synthesized in real time? That's very cool!

Nice selection of levels and a good progression. Overall a very fun, and different, game. Well done!

madbarron 2026-05-03 18:05

Awesome! Very clever and a perfect take on the theme. I personally had a difficult time distinguishing the sounds in the later levels when two animals were playing at once.

carraka 2026-05-05 12:40

I enjoyed this game and the progression between levels! I found myself using audio more when there were fewer signals, but once there were too many, I was relying on visuals alone. This fractal animation was really cool!

valb-soares 2026-05-05 19:39

Good game, unfortunately I'm having trouble tuning into frequency 11 hahaha If you have a moment to rate my game, I would be very grateful.

I love this! Such a clever idea. Great work!

bloodcat8090 2026-05-06 13:58

this is peak

remusnomos 2026-05-06 18:37

Was fun to fiddle around, quite a nice idea and twist on the theme. And I liked the fractals. :D It was quite hard for me to get the sound differences, so I used the pictures for most of the time.

zimny11 2026-05-06 19:36

Oh wow! That was an acid trip for sure :D Since I have serious problems with all music based games I really appreciate the fractal pattern. It also added to the surrealisms of the whole thing! Well done!

loveapplegames 2026-05-08 19:25

Wow, that's a pretty weird game, congratulations on your interpretation of the theme! In some levels, it seemed I got the positions right, judging by the sound and graphic, but the game did not accept my solution. As far as I understand, you have to put the animals on the right "pegs" to win, however the peg is obscured by the animal. I would prefer it's visible.

gamebuilder 2026-05-08 21:00

One of the most imaginative games I've played in a long time. I was able to beat 8 levels. You get top scores in Innovation and Audio. The increase in difficulty level was a bit steep for me, and I found myself using brute-force methods in some cases, but several levels were challenging enough without being too difficult.

I was very impressed by the ingenuity in this game. The artwork also shows a lot of talent and character.

prakkus 2026-05-08 22:10

What a cool concept! It's like a trippy version of the 'hacking' minigame from the old Batman Arkham games except instead of gadget knobs you are moving animals around. Ok maybe it's not that similar. Anyway I got a couple and there were some where I was so close but not quite good enough for it to register as correct. Ah well! I think some kind of 'closeness' feedback might've helped? Maybe that ends up being too easy then.

dzejpi 2026-05-08 22:17

This is probably my favorite pattern matching game I've played this jam! It feels very and unique compared with most of the pattern matching games which are using just a simple wave and basic modulations. Fractals are an amazing choice, I love them (in general, I have a full book about them) and how you implemented them here.

All an all, they give it super trippy and acid-y look which I love. Moreover, it gives you so many ways how to actually modify the patterns, some are really ingenious, like crooked zoom in/zoom out. I can only imagine the crazy math you had to use here!

I would say that introducing the new difficulties gradually was well done. New complexities were introduced in a way that I understood what the new animal was about.

To my surprise, it felt like I was going through most of the levels surprisingly quickly. I say most of them, because last but one really took me a while, and the last one is an absolute nightmare difficulty for sure.

For things to improve: I'm not sure whether input/output comparison was very useful for me; it felt like I was mostly going by looking at the visuals. Maybe for the last level, I would give some extra hints, but maybe that would spoil the fun. And not sure why, but deer is giving suspiciously suggestive look, but it's probably going to be my massive sleep deprivation and total exhaustion from the last few days.

All in all, loved this one, well done!
